Love these boots: awesome styling and super comfortable, right out of the box (leather is beautiful and very soft). I ordered both the teal and the olive. The teal is a deep green teal in any light, not bluish as it appears in the picture, but it’s a beautiful color and works great as a neutral. The olive looks just like the picture. I usually wear US 9 or EU 39. My heels are narrow but my feet are wide at the toes. I ordered both 39 and 40 and tried both sizes with medium-weight wool socks. The 39s felt very supportive and comfortable overall and but they were only just long enough and I was afraid they might start hurting after I walked a while (I walk a lot). The 40s felt less supportive and have more room than I need in the toes (toe box is very roomy) but lacing them tightly made them feel more secure. I think a 39.5 would have been perfect but since that wasn’t an option, I kept the 40s and I plan to add an insert for additional support/to keep my feet from sliding when I walk.

I was hesitant on buying these because they are expensive - way more than I usually pay for shoes. But I put them on, wore them around the house for a few hours and they are wonderful! So very comfortable and very supportive. I’ll be keeping them! Love the color too!

As others have already said, Taos Crave is one fantastic boot! My first was the Teal and a couple months later I bought the Bordeaux. I’m a HS teacher and am on my feet all day, walking around the classroom. My feet are HAPPY at the end of the day. Can’t always say that with other shoes/boots. The brown laces are the only odd thing. I’m trying to find a good match online for the Teal but no luck yet. That said, it’s not keeping me from wearing them at all! I wear lightweight or medium weight wool socks.

Color us MUCH more "olive" than photo on website. It actually looks like a true olive green not was brown as pictured (which is what I was hoping for). I ordered a 39 (usually a 38) but have wide feet. With was snug but not uncomfortable but boot was too long. Exchanging for a 38 bordeaux and keeping fingers crossed. Overall appears to be a gorgeous well made boot.

These are spectacular boots. I saw a woman hiking up our local butte (hard, rocky climb!) and she was wearing these. I asked her the brand and found the very pair on Zappos. Even though the lady hiker found these trail-worthy, I think I'll wear them about town. They are really good looking. My feet are narrow so I was glad to have laces for adjustment and also the inside zipper for quick on and off.

These are beautiful casual boots. The leather and suede combination looks very cool. The soft interior is so comfortable and no breaking in period is necessary.

These shoes are simply the best , the grey color is not really grey.

These boots are terrific! Comfortable right out of the box and look fabulous.

Beautiful boot. The color is really nice, not teal, not forest green, sort of changeable and stylish. Problem is that I wear a size 11 M and this is slightly too narrow and definitely too small. Had to return and order a size up. I ordered a 42. The 43 fits, but is none too large. No thick socks with this one.

I rarely write a review, however, I am so impressed with this boot, I had too. I am always leery of a 'stiff' looking boot. It usually takes a lot to break it in. However, after reading some of the good reviews, I decided to try them because I thought they were so cute. Loved the style. I ordered the black. These boots blew me away with their comfort! OH MY! They were soft, yet supportive. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2, but I wanted plenty of room for my toes and a thicker style sock so I ordered the 9. I am glad I did, I can always cinch it down when not wearing a thick sock. I love the way these boots feel. No breaking in needed and the fit is great. They will be my go-to boots for sure! I will be ordering the teal color too!

I LOVE these boots! The quality of this boot is what I would expect from my $485 boots I normally spend! The color was a little different than what it looks in the picture online ( teal). The picture looks more Blue than green, but they are definitely GREEN. I love them so much I’m going to order another pair in a different color! LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots!

These boots arrived on time. I was skeptical about the fit but these fit perfectly. I bought these to use for riding my Indian motorcyle and I'm very happy with them. They're very comfortable, no rubbing. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I tried these as a previous reviewer stated they were equal to Frye's brand! Not even close to the quality! The soles are synthetic and buckle on the heel is faux? Frye's are Superior!!

I wanted to love these boots but for several reasons am sending them back. They are super nice looking and quite well-made. I ordered the Camel color which is really a beautiful color. But they are a bit heavy and "clunky" on the foot feeling a lot like an army boot. If that is what you are looking for you might well love them. I also found they felt tight across the top of my foot where there is a band of stitching going right across the forefoot. I wear a size women's 8 and ordered a 39 which I would say was a good fit. My biggest complaint again is how heavy they felt. I ended up ordering the Pikolinos Le Mans in the Olmo Brandy and am in love with that boot which is about half the weight listed by Zappos - and have a somewhat more feminine look to them than these Taos.

These are the best! So comfortable right out of the box. And so beautiful! I wear a 9.5 and the 40 fit perfectly. I bought the black. Put them on, loved them, and immediately ordered the caramel. Wore the caramel to my hair appointment. My stylist noticed them right off, tried mine on and then proceeded to order two pair (caramel and stone)!

I love Taos. Never have any issues. Great fit. Disappointed with Zappos ... spent $200 for someone’s return. Shoes had scuff marks. Not sure I would buy from Zappos again.

Ok...so this is still a work in progress, but despite all the amazing reviews, high hopes, and my true love of the look of this boot, getting them to fit (and be comfortable) has been quite a process! I don't know who all the people are who think they are true to size, comfortable out of the box, and have arch support- this wasn't exactly true for me. I am an 8, pretty much always. I got the 39, as I would with other shoes. It was very short for my foot, and ultimately, too small. I would have had to loosen all the laces, wear super thin socks (which would defeat the purpose of the boots being warm in winter) and stretch them out a lot to get them to fit- I was so sad!!! So, I ordered the 40- something I have never done before- that's like a size 9! Those were too big, and my feet swam in them, even in thick socks...but, so loving this boot style, I valiantly tried to make it work. I bought special insoles (and first did research on insoles) and ended up swapping out the very uncomfortable (for me) Taos insoles for the ones with more support. The Taos ones are leather and nice, but I felt there was nothing under my arch- too much space! Maybe my arch is much higher than other reviewers? I often want more arch support, but could not get it with the Taos insoles in this boot. Next, I donned my thick wool socks. Finally, I tied the laces tight, and even did the wrap around my ankle...and...it worked!!! Mostly!! They are still big, and at times I feel I am clomping around in them even with those extra measures, and I may still need to stick even more padding under my arch- but I am WEARING them! Hooray!! The moral of the story is...was that worth it? I am not sure!! They are beautiful, and I love them, and they are truly a good quality shoe that I feel would hold my feet well, if they were the RIGHT SIZE. I WOULD have been a 39 1/2 (despite being an 8 in other shoes). I can't believe no one else has had a problem with no half sizes in these. Please, Taos, MAKE HALF SIZES! These amazing boots are worth it! I was interested in the Tall Crave as well, but it doesn't make any sense if it doesn't fit my foot naturally. I got the bordeaux color, which I was hoping would be more of a true burgundy, but is actually darker, and like some reviewers said, looks like two different colors- dark brown indoors, dark dark burgundy in daylight. Still gorgeous, though. Thanks Zappos for your easy returns! I hope this story helps other boot buyers out there...

I love these boots! I’ve had mine for a year and wear all the time fall-spring and they’re still looking great! I am a size 7 with an average width foot and got a 38 and they’re perfect to allow me to wear bulky socks if it’s colder outside. (I wear 37 in sandals). I get compliments on them all the time! They’re a sturdy, warm winter boot with a grippy sole but with a slimmer profile which I love. I got the grey but pro tip: they do come in even more colors than Zappos sells! Totally worth the price!

Wearing them right now. I’ve never put a pair of boots on with such comfort before. My feet aren’t burning or hurting. They fit true to size and are most comfortable. The Teal color of the boots is stunning. I’ll wear these until they’re falling apart. Well, well worth the money.

A previous reviewer stated these boots were equal to Frye? Not hardly, first the soles are synthetic not leather. Heel was also plastic. Wow even the color Teal? Well by all of my own references it is a dark green shade. Wow, so disappointed with these boots, keep to making sandals, they're great. Also, these ran short about 1/2 a size and just were cheaply built. Send them a packing.

these run SOOO small. I wear a size 10.5-11 so i ordered the 42 which the size guide says is between an 11-11.5. So bummed, the boots seem like really good quality with soft leather.
