I needed a pair of boots to wear in Scotland that would be stylish, comfortable, versatile, and good to wear in rain. My feet are slightly narrow with high arches, so i was intrigued by the many reviews mentioning comfort and good support. Wore them today straight out of the box with mid-weight socks and walked 2 miles. Wow. They were great. The foot bed was more molded than expected - no padding, but comfortable with great support. No pinching or blisters anywhere. I wear a 7 1/2 and the 39 fit perfect. The grey is more "taupe" colored - kind of brownish grey. I wore them with black jeans and they looked like a soft black color, but I can see how they are "chameleon" and match what is around them. :-) They seem sturdy enough to hold up in rain and wet conditions, but I'll put them to the test.

These fit great right out of the box — no need to break them in. These feel sturdy and warm without being too heavy. I got them in the blue ink color, which is navy with brown laces. The side zipper makes them easy to get on and off.

Love these boots. Just bought a second pair after my first pair got too dirty from weeks in Africa.

I bought Taos Crave in teal because I was trying to match them with an outfit. Sadly, they did not match. They were greener than I needed but absolutely gorgeous boots. I'm going to try the same style in a different, more neutral color. Excellent boots, though.

I wanted so badly for these boots to work out for me. I normally wear a US size 11 so I ordered the 42 in the teal. They are beautiful boots and they made my feet look small. Well, smaller than a size 11. Unfortunately they WERE a bit small. I ordered the 43 but they also felt constricting at the front of the foot where the seam goes over the top of the boot. Sadly, I will be returning both pairs. Zappos service, as always, is amazing.

I LOVE these boots! I swear them all the time! The heel is the perfect height. They look great with jeans or capris. Glad I go them!

I love these boots...as evidenced by the fact that I have three pairs now :) I just got the Bordeaux and love the color.

Style and fit are great. I'm disappointed in the color. I ordered red. The upper suede part is red but the rest of the boot is more of a dark burgundy color unlike the picture on the website. I'll keep them because there is no time to look for red boots before my trip. I ordered these to replace my fabulous but worn out red boots so I'm bummed out as far as the color goes. Don't buy these boots if you want red.

Great boot just looking for a more funky style.

I love these boots! I have a difficult time putting on boots and some shoes. These are easy to put on with the zippers. Fit is perfect.

I love these boots so much. Their style is da bomb. Their sizing is wackadoodle, though. I wear a 10.5 in other shoes but had to get a 12/12.5 in these boots. Be warned.

Buyer Beware! I have worn these boots no more than 5 times and they are already scuffed and dingy looking. They look ten years old! If that's what you're going for, buy them, they are comfortable, but if not, spend your money elsewhere. I doubt these boots will last one season. Not worth the price!!!

I love these boots so much I have three pair: Teal, Bordeaux, and Red. They are THE most comfortable boot I've ever owned. Very little break in time. They fit true to size (I wear an 8-8.5 and get a 39). The zipper is very easy to use - love being able to slide in and out of them. The colors are wonderful. I think the Teal goes with almost anything. I've worn them with jeans, straight-legged pants as well as skirts and dresses. I wear them pretty much three seasons out of four, although I have worn them in early/late summer. I wait till they go on sale at Taos or buy them here at Zappos. Oh, and, I always, always, always get compliments. Always. Enjoy them.

I liked this boot but it was a little too wide in my size (9 or 40) and I was pretty sure the 39 would have been too short in length, they also made my feet look big, I had to return them. Love Zappos return policy.

ZAPPOS: Women with large feet need shoes too. I wear an 11.5US and tried the size 42 and 43 and both were too short and overall way smaller than a US size 11.5. The 43 is nowhere near a European size 43, and nowhere near a size 12 or 12.5 as your website suggests! (I know, I used to live in Europe.) Please stop posting these incorrect and misleading sizes on your website!! I can't tell you how many shoe orders I have gone through trying to find one that really is equivalent to my US size. Argh.

Love these boots!

I love this style and brand of boot. I ordered them in Olive and it was an olive...ish top, yet the boot itself was more of a brown. I have a pair of these in brown and the are practically twins. Taos is a wonderful boot. I have them in red, brown, black in two different styles, and had a true Olive in the Rockport boot. They however are not available at this time. If you like a greenish brown these are for you. The style and look of this boot is wonderful. I almost wonder if they sent me the wrong color.

I had a 38 because I usually wear a 7, but decided to try the 37...so I sized down and they fit great! Love the teal color. I’ll get the black if they go on sale:)

I absolutely love these boots. So cute and can be worn so many different ways. Fashionable and functional. Well worth the money. I bought the Red and they are even more beautiful in person. A bit of a darker red with variations of black in there. LOVE that I can tie this up to fit me perfectly and then zip and unzip to take off.

I bought these boots on a TV shopping network in the middle of the night! Was not sure what I would end up with, but am SO glad that I did. They are really well made and you can feel that as soon as you put your feet into them. I have two pairs now, black and teal. I didn't like the brown laces on the teal ones so I Googled "green boot laces" and found a pair the exact color and length that I needed. Now I love these boots even more. I did not find them too narrow even though I do have a narrow foot. Can't imagine anyone not loving these!

Very cute boots. I love the style and get lots of compliments. I liked them so well I bought a pair for my mother. I work a minimum of 10-12 hours a day. I wear them all day with no discomfort. I was wearing Dansko shoes every day and I was having so much foot pain. I had to switch to something else to give my feet a break/change. The combat style is really cute and in-style right now. I wear them with my dress pants and with my skirts. They are true to length and the width is great without being too tight. I do feel they are wider with wear than when I first got them. I have a narrow foot. My only complaint is that they make my feet smell. I use baby powder and cologne spritz but for whatever reason, these shoes make my feet smell. I also wish that the insole had more cushion. I have skinny, bony feet. It’s not bad and most people probably wouldn’t even notice. I think I will add a cushioned insole for added comfort. I do this with most of my shoes anyway. I have orthotics but they do not fit comfortably in these shoes, but I really don’t need them with these shoes.

Probably one of the best shoe purchases I have ever made. These make me so happy and make anything I wear just a bit elevated in style. I just love them. I ordered up a size and wear with thick socks and couldn't be happier. My 88 year old mother just went on and on about them every time she saw me in them. She loved them so much that she just ended up purchasing her own pair...in red! Boy does she look cute in them! I have the Burgundy and they are just the perfect shade of Burgundy and my mother's red pair are a nice deep red. Do I need another pair in a different color, no...but will I get another pair in a different color...it's very likely!

O M G. There are NO words!!!! Oh wait- there is 1- SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! Slipped them on right out of the box and ahhhhhh. SO comfortable. I got the teal, absolutely gorgeous. I had attempted to get this color on Taos website but they are sold out. So thank you Zappos, for turning heartache into heaven. I usually wear 7.5, ordered the 38 & it’s a perfect fit with a smidge of wiggle room. If I want to add an extra layer of socks next winter, no problem. I plan to wear these through the summer I love them so much. The side zip makes on/off so easy. If you ask me-(and you did)- they are like dessert for your feet??
