LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! Two years ago, after much deliberation over color, I bought these boots in Indigo. So awesome, I have never seen another boot this exact color! I do a lot of walking and they are very durable, wear extremely well, in fact they actually look better with age. So, I obsessed over buying another pair in either brown or burgandy and was pleasantly surprised to find the color I chose is the perfect shade of a well worn saddle! I literally put them on out of the box, without adjusting the laces, zipped them up and ran to catch the bus, then wore them all day in absolute comfort. I have a wide foot and these tend to run small, so I ordered one larger so I can wear any type of sock in them.

These boots are cute with jeans or skirt They fit so soft and never hurt Red leather, laces and a zip They make you want to jump and skip And if your feet are rather thin Just wear thick socks up to your shin But if your feet are too rotund Return them for a full refund

Got those boots for my wife for her birthday, she's almost sleeping with them. She loves the way they feel and the way they look. The funny "beware" review is exactly how she feels about them.

These boots are so pretty, but unfortunately that is all they have going for them. I bought them a little over a year ago before a big trip to New York where I walked around A LOT and my feet were killing me the entire time. I regretted buying them at that moment. Since then I have worn them around a lot thinking that I just needed to break them in some more. Well, I can confidently say after over a year of "breaking them in" it only made it worse. My right foot hurts so incredibly bad that if I put these on my arch instantly starts to swell up. My right foot is more sensitive than my left because I broke it over a decade ago. The heel is too high to be casual everyday kind of walking boots, there is no support. These boots are fashionable, not comfort shoes. Plus, after only a year I can see holes forming in the toe bend area. Don't waste your money like I did. The hype does not live up to the quality that one would expect from such an expensive brand.

I'm normally a 7.5 sometimes an 8. I ordered a 38 and a 39. The 38 was good in the length but the toe box was too narrow. I have a wide foot. The 39 felt too long. I decided to keep the 38 hoping they would break in and stretch which they did wearing around my house with thick socks. They feel perfect now. They are so comfortable. I bought the golden tan color and they are gorgeous. This is my first pair of Taos, but it won't be my last. Great quality.

The most perfectly comfortable fit- didn’t want to take them off. They were made for me. First pair of boots I’ve been truly overjoyed with.. Crave in Brunette. Very chic style, Love the side zipper.. love the laces- love how can adjust for wear with thick/thinner socks. Have to buy other colors now..well done Taos- I’ll be back

Very comfortable shoe. Excellent construction. Unfortunately, i already had a pair close to the same color, so I returbed them, but did repurchase in another color.

Seriously beautiful boots. I wear size US 7.5, I have a high arch and reasonably wide foot. I ordered 7.5 & they fit great. These are leather/suede boots in beautiful colors, reminiscent of the English landed gentry just going off for a spot of hunting. "Saddle up the horse, will you, James?" They were comfy from the moment I put them on. I can even wear them with socks/tights and not get blisters. The hardest thing for me was deciding which color I liked best. I ordered several and opted for the red. Unfortunately, of the several pairs I tried, one boot was cut wrong and gave me a blister instantly. I ordered another identical pair and had no problems. They look good with jeans, trousers, skirts.

These boots are gorgeous. Unfortunately, the size 12 is more like a size 11 - way too small. Alas. I loved them otherwise.

This is a beautiful boot. I also ordered another Taos boot but both pairs squeaked so I returned them.

In deed a pricey boot but well made and sturdy! Should last forever wearing every now and then. Just the right amount of combat style without being too “militant”. Nice heel but not too high. Fits my narrow foot well, not too bulky. Love the blue ink color. It’s like an “off black”. These look good with jeans, leggings, dresses. Should be a staple for years to come. I normally wear a 6.5-7 and Zappos suggested the 38. I was afraid it may be too big but it’s fine. A little wiggle room in the toes but fine. Doesn’t slip on the heel.

I needed a cute but practical pair of boots to wear to Minneapolis where we were walking from our airbnb to a show 1/2 mile away in frigid weather. A friend recommended the Taos Crave saying she had owned hers for 3 years and still loved them. I was dubious, especially about being able to wear jeans over them. It turned out they were perfect for the occasion--they're true to size, comfortable, really cute, and since you can tie the tops tight on your calf, it's easy to pull your jeans over them. They didn't keep my toes really warm so they're not for sustained outdoor activites, but they're perfect for going out if you have a bit of walking to do in less-than-stellar weather.

I have owned two pairs of these boots and I loved them. The look, the way they felt the first time wearing them, perfect. This pair was on the small side. Returning for a bigger size. I am sorry I am missing the sale price though.

these are those boots. i've been looking for "the boots" for a long time now, closest being a pair of Levi boots i wore to the ground. i will buy new ones of these when i need them, there is no need for any other boot. these boots are perfect.

I love the styling of these boots! However the sizing is European, not American. A 43 does not equate to a 12n. Hence I had to return them. I require style and a good fit!

I clicked on the information regarding sizing since they are European sized boots and found my fit to order correctly. As many of the reviewers have already stated, these are extremely comfortable boots from the start. The short stacked heel and arch support are perfect for all day comfort. I was a little worried about the color (Golden Tan) because different sites show this color differently, including the Taos page where they look more yellow, but when my boots arrived (quickly!), they were just as pictured. Cute, well made, and comfortable... what more could a girl ask for? I love these boots and wish I had the money to buy several pair of them, but I have other bills to pay, so I'll have to save up for my next pair.

fit like a glove

I was sadly disappointed with this boot!! It's so hard to find a good one and I thought this brand name would be worth it. The leather is VERY stiff/hard, like walking in a ski boot without the ski on. Maybe they'd break in BUT I cannot get past that there is ONE seam inside of the boot that is VERY inconveniently located right above the back of the heel.One question: Why in the earth would you put a sharp seam inside the boot and right where it will scrape with every step. It's not a one time thing, I loved the boot so ordered 2 pair, so it's a total of 4 scrapy seams to deal with! So uncool..I wore them each for an hour around the house and 2 days later feet still hurt and barely caught it before it blistered, I thought this was a good brand and a nice style. Now I'm off again to find a decent boot, in a different brand..

First, the color was grey that I ordered. These are not gray whatsoever. The color is a burnished brownish color. That's my only complaint. Love the military style, round toes, great stitching, comfortable and they're just plain fricken cool. I also love the heel. Not stacked just right. I love these

Just LOVE these boots! Would totally recommend them as being the most comfortable and stylish boot I have ever owned! So worth the money. No breaking in necessary - fit like a glove from the first wear. And the support to my feet is tangible. I might just have to buy another color!!! thanks Taos for a great boot!

How can women mince around in high heels? I would have kept these if the heels had been a little lower. Yep, I read every description of color and heel height, and looked at photos of the different colors on LOTS of web sites. Both the marketing photos and the customer photos. ... And the descriptions of the comfort. And -- how can women mince around in high heels? I tried. Wore them around inside for a few days. They ARE TRUE TO SIZE. I am a 37, and had returned a 38 last year because do many reviews said they run small. THEY DO NOT. But the heel is still high. It is still 2 inches. Or 1-7/8, depending on the website. Believe it when the reviews say the teal is very green. Especially the suede top. I checked photos long enough to give anyone eyestrain, two different computers, changing the light. If you like teal green, they are. If you like teal blue, they aren't. Blue ink is a good color description. I held them next to black leather boots and could *almost* tell the difference. Only in the suede top. I wanted blue, not another black boot with a different name. ... Still, I would have kept it if it weren't so high-heeled. All those reviews of "comfortable" and wearing all over threw me off. They do have great style. They are not made in China. Now if Taos had the sense to keep a blue boot instead of one with just a blue-sounding name, and made more stylish boots with lower heels, I'm there. Thanks to Zappos for excellent customer service. Although I have returned some things, I have been with them for 10 years now and am still wearing other things purchased from them.

A 42 was ordered, but it was much smaller than that...couldn't get my foot in and could see it was too small when I opened the box. If you normally wear a 10.5-11, a 42 will be tight. If you have a moderately wide foot, it will not fit. Otherwise, it looked great and seemed to have high quality. I can't comment on comfort as I couldn't get it on my foot.

These are super cute and very comfortable. Love the suede portion as it is feels so nice on. Some boots I have rub against the leg and can be uncomfortable. Want all the colors!

These are super comfy, the leather is soft and supple. They did run narrow and a bit small for me, so I ordered the next size larger. The quality is so nice I will always buy Taos brand shoes and boots.
