Purchased this product for my husband and he loves it! It has plenty of room for all his stuff and super comfortable to carry. I would recommend to anyone.

I've purchased different styles of Timbuk2 bags over the years: basic messenger, yoga tote, and now the Command Messenger. This is my absolute favorite! Just enough room to ensure I am organized without putting too much stuff on the bag. The blue accents on grey crosshatch fabric is awesome!

I use it for multiple different groups that I lead, shuffling lots of different papers and books for each group. Just enough pockets to separate stuff I need, but not so many pockets that I forget which pocket I put things in. Great for my laptop and a couple books, as well as a a small accordion file. (I purchased the Medium size.)

If you use anything else then a, really thin laptop, the main compartment becomes useless.. the so called Charger pocket on the side, is kinda useless, would be surprised if it really can comfortable be able to hold a MacBook charger.. The front divider or, the pocket inside, i mean i thought it would be a little usefull but its kinda annoiying to use, would have prefered a much smaller one.. Napoleon Pockets are actually usefull, love Those... If you ride a bike, the back gets kinds uncormtable really quick, specially because of the luggage passthrough.. it can dig into your back.. All in All.. it sucks, would love to return it bur cant because i bought it overseas...

I was looking for a new work briefcase to replace my worn out HP laptop satchel and found the Commander model online while surf different website images. I was instantly attracted to its sleek, stylish, and innovative design. I also like the messenger/office bag hybrid concept; as I have commuted to work on my road bike. Upon arrival I was super impressed with the quality and size. I ordered the jet black in a medium and it looks super professional! Exactly what I was hoping for when I made the purchase. The main storage, laptop holder, and multiple flap and zips pockets are perfect! Well thought out and more then enough for what I need. If you are looking for a unique and professional work bag that sticks out from the crowd then this is the one! From line staff to CEO this bag will supplement your business attire while carrying all your reports and work/communication devices. Super happy!

I'm a student with a lot of stuff to carry. This bag fits my lunch, uniform pieces, books, and Mt. Dew with room to spare. It might not have been made for students, but it certainly works for them. And being waterproof means I don't have to worry about my computer.

I spent about a few months looking at various messenger bags, after my old Pearl Izumi backpack started dying. I finally order a medium jet black Command and it was great, but a little larger than I expected. Since I liked the bag so much, I ordered the small and it instantly became my favorite EDC. Here's what I carry everyday: 20oz Contigo Thermos 13" Dell XPS with cords, etc. Lunch and bottle of vitamin water Windbreaker, hoodie and hat Keys, Wallet Bunch of misc. cords for my iPhone and other electronics Files, pens, pads A few vials of meds....and anything else I need. There's plenty of extra room....I haven't filled the bag up yet. It does everything it says it does and it does it really well....also it's pretty water resistant. I've walked thru rain storms for a few minutes and my laptop remained dry. It's a great bag that survives a daily commute on NYC E trains. (One of the most crowded lines in the city). Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

I bought this for my husbands birthday because his 6+ year old canvas messenger bag was falling apart so badly that no amount of hot glue or carabiners could save it. He absolutely loves it and was stoked about all of the pockets and organization this bag offers. It's the perfect size and he can't stop talking about how much more comfortable this bag is than his old one. He mainly uses it for work, but takes it everywhere with him.

One of the best Messenger bags I own . Only downside is: it can get heavy fast if you don't pack it right.

I liked the look of the bag but was disappointed when I received it - video fails to point out that there is a wraparound pocket in the back looks like it should fit a laptop however it zips around the BOTTOM so if it unzipped somehow your laptop would fall right out, makes zero sense. No wonder the person in the video didn't point it out and it's not any of the pictures. Also there's no key attachment which I am very accustomed to with other timbuk2 bags. So strange. Returned

Having used the bag for a week I can tell I'm going to enjoy using it for a long time. I needed a laptop bag to hold two computers and other personal items for work and this bag has it all.

Nice bag! I carry all of my stuff I take into the office everyday, light years better than plastic bags from the grocery store. It's a sharp looking bag, which is what caught my attention in the first place. Looks just like the photo. I'm very happy with it, thank you.

I was in search for a new daily commuter bag for quite some time before I pulled the trigger on the Command. For the longest time I was using a smaller shoulder bag that eventually just wasn't cutting it. I needed more space to store portable chargers, sketch pads, design notebooks, devices, drawing utensils, you name it. The command was the perfect upgrade! A simple overall design with organizational features (pockets) that beg the question, "why don't all messenger bags have these?" Very comfortable strap that is super easy to adjust. I highly recommend this messenger bag to anyone who is looking for a durable sidekick that fits into their daily commuting routines.

I chose this over the commute during the sale. The main reason was the top opening laptop compartment opposed to the TSA flap. I've had this bag for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It fits all my daily stuff and a 20oz wide hydro flask. The only thing I wish was included was a key lanyard. Seems like most other Timbuk2's have this. You wont be disappointed with this, highly recommend the red interior color.

A nice solution for a corporate bag. The strap is very comfortable and adjusting makes it easy to work with slacks, dress or suit. I do wish there were more pockets but that is easily resolved with a pencil case.

Needed to replace an Alpine satchel (lots of pockets, but comparatively poor construction which required duct tape and electrical tape to address wears and tears) with something newer and nicer. Currently, I substitute teach but am looking for gainful employment. This purchase will be used either to carry sub teaching materials or (hopefully) items that I will use in my new 8-5 or 9-5 position. Looks like this messenger bag will be good, will serve me well.

I love my messenger bag, what an improvement from my previous laptop bag. First off, I love the styling of the bag. There were plenty of color options and one that suited me perfectly. Functionally, the bag works as expected. I like the separate laptop pocket on the back of the bag, leaving TONS of room for accessories and personal items in the main compartment. There are also a lot of easy to access pockets for items I want to be able to get quickly. The metal clasps to close the bag work well and look nice. And I love the optional use velcro for when I want to ensure the bag stays closed. I think the only drawback that I have noticed is that the bag does not stand up on its own. But I always either lean it on a wall or chair, so it's a non issue for me but may bother others people. I would absolutely recommend this bag to anyone looking for a stylish, lightweight laptop messenger bag.

I realize that with so many reviews mine's a drop in the pond at this point. It's so great I felt compelled to leave a review anyway! Pros: - Looks WAY better than the pictures! I have the large black Pike, which is most similar to the current black/gunmetal color. - Durable. I have been using it daily for two years. Year 1: hot Florida sun, either riding my bike or driving. Often left in my vehicle (i.e.180 degrees at minimum). Year 2: daily 15-20 minute walk in the sun, rain, or snow, or an hour subway commute to and from, depending on the weekday. After 2 years, I cannot find a single blemish, inside or out. The only wear is some slight grime on the bottom from the subway floor. On ONE buckle, there's very slight wear from my thumb: you can see if you squint. - Weather-resistant: I've been in 3 or 4 Florida downpours. The first was rough: the outside dripping wet, but no sign of water inside (helpful that the laptop pocket is against back). I've since had no anxiety about my laptop getting wet. When it rains or snows, I wear a waterproof coat, no umbrella, and let it endure the elements. Did I mention it still looks brand new? - Feature-Rich: I'm actually ashamed to not utilize all the pockets. The best is the TSA-friendly laptop sleeve. I dislike exposing my $2500 MB pro to the world so the sleeve is a god-send. I've never had my bag pulled. Once a guard asked if I had a laptop in the bag; I pointed to the sleeve and he gave me a thumbs up. It's legit. - Holds a TON: I was worried the buckles would be unusable if overstuffed. Bag will overflow first. Filled to capacity, it still fits under an airplane seat. Cons: - Feels Heavy: It's feature-rich but you pay that cost in weight. Also the bag/strap doesn't distribute weight very well; many bags will conform to your back over time but not this one, partially due to the laptop being against your back. This is literally the only thing I don't like and it's due to other pros - construction, tsa laptop pocket, etc

After reading reviews of this product, I decided to get the medium bag. It turned out to be much larger than expected. I occasionally need to carry 2 laptops and this fits both easily with plenty of room left over. It is stylish (better looking than the pictures) and seems durable. I do have a few problems with the bag though. First of all - it is very heavy. I used to have a TB2 backpack, which had a similar volume capacity but was much lighter. Also, as noted by other reviewers, the pockets are a little awkward - notably the external water pocket is very shallow, there is not a good pocket for laptop charger cords and for smaller carrying items. While there is 1 small pocket on the front side (it barely fits phone charger cords and blocks), other small items have to be put into one of the many larger zippered pockets - risking getting crushed with the other stuff I'll need to drop in there. Overall I am a little disappointed with the bag and while I would purchase from TB2 again, I would not purchase this bag.

I did not understand the bottom zipper compartment. That one could have been eliminated and made the bag wider. Other than that the bag is very useful and enjoyable. Hopefully it will out last me.

Overall, the bag is very nice. I am still getting acclimated to the pockets and areas in which to store items. I don't bike so I can't speak to the bag while in transit mode.

Great bag overal. Good quality seems to wear well and is fairly resistant to water spills and stains. My only wish would be more pockets, however a minor annoyance.

I like the look of the bag and was excited about using it for work and school. However, three months into use it started coming apart at the seams.
