I love the look and materials, and the overall design (all the pockets and compartments). The only con is that the strap adjustment (quick release feature) has come undone inadvertently a couple times.

I've taken this with me on a few flights, and it's perfect. The side compartments for passport items, boarding pass, etc. are great. The compartment for the iPad and laptop are perfect fit for my Apples. Ample space in the main compartment. Shoulder strap is handy for around town, but I took it off for travel because it easily fits over my carry-on pull-up handle. I'm really happy with this. I had a PacSafe but this is way better.

Those quick-access side pockets with a zipper are the best of this product, also the laptop pocket in the back. It takes a while until you get used to the main lid hook system, but after that and knowing that you have your essentials in those quick-access, then it becomes very functional. Not the most fashionable one, but certainly a solid product with outstanding functionality.

15" laptop and iPad Pro fit nicely. Well protected. Love the extra pouches in the flap for phone and keys. Fits under seat for flights nicely. Nice extra pouch for charger.

I've used Timbuk2 messenger bags for years, from college through my first several jobs. My original messenger bag is still in use for my non-work activities. Unfortunately, this bag is not up to the level of durability or quality fell I expected. The outer material is definitely not as durable. The silent hooks actually end up causing much more of a scene than a simple clip as you have to struggle to get them unhooked. The strap is not as durable. The bottle pocket is too small for anything bigger than a small water bottle. Zippers feel cheaper. Overall, I doubt that this bag will outlast my original bag from over ten years ago. Honestly, I should have gone with a custom messenger bag and added the additional options I wanted and enjoy, like the briefcase handle and padded laptop sleeve. The hidden pockets for cellphones/wallets/etc aren't really worth it.

This is my very first Timbuk2 bag. I can't say enough good things about it. Quality, there is nothing better. I can't tell you how many bags I own, this is going to be my daily driver for years to come. That being said I'm also very sad about this bag. After two days of owning it while carrying my son and my large iced coffee flavored with hazelnut. My son kicked the coffee causing the top to come off dumping a third of the cup into the bag and I had the zipper open. Guess where most of the coffee went? My bag smells really bad right now. I will probably have to buy a new one.

I really dont give anything 5 star and here is why. The bag is a 5star seriously, the video doesnt even do it justice [Spoiler Alert] once yiu get it your're like wow ok i gotta show it off or something! But some of my electronics are delicate so i thought i shouldnt get the bad but couldnt return it because the sale on the bag was final and costumer need to wait about a week for reply from costumer service. SO this is my take on the command messenger bag.

I heard about timbuk2 from a friend and decided I wanted to give it a go. I've never really worn crossbody bags/ messengers before this. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The bag is extremely high quality and very sturdy. I've added a small carabiner to the strap attachment so I can hook on a larger water bottle (the water bottle pocket on the bag doesn't really fit my Nalgene).

As I removed the packing matetials and opened the messenger bag and looked and felt the quality materials used especially on the bottom; and put my MacBook Pro laptop on the laptop sleeve......Yep. My feeling was happy. Joyful. Impressed on the materials used. And I like the color to match my suit when I travel. Looks professional for my conventions and meetings with high ranking individuals in our company. And the light grey color used insode is great. Very good slots for office items. The last messenger nag was too big and had too many slots. I give this a high five on all fronts. Way to go Timbuk2.

I just reorganized my old failing back into my new messenger bag. I love all of the great places to store things. I really love the outside pocket for my computer and iPad so I can access without opening the bag and the front flap zippered pocket for my wallet. Strap holds on my shoulder. Yay!

Shipping items to Canada by UPS is a barrier to me wanting to purchase anything from Timbuk 2. The order was placed 13 days ago and still has not arrived. I phoned UPS yesterday as it showed there was a problem with the order. The question was "do you still want the item delivered?" The bag is still 250 miles from where I live. I expect they will want about $50 for brokerage fees once the bag finally arrives. This is in addition to shipping charges of $35. If you want a Timbuk2 bag and you live in Canada best find one at a local shop. I'm on my 4th Timbuk2 bag and like the product but shipping by mail needs to be an option.

Well made bag, lots of compartments has an extra large waterbottle holder on the side. Only complaint is that it could be about a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch wider at the base to really carry a bit of a lunch or something. Otherwise, loving my bag!

Disappointing to have both wasted my money and have a had such a bad first experience with Timbuk2. I really had high hopes after seeing the product and hearing good things. Product wasn't satisfactory and even when adjusting the straps it sits super awkwardly. Difficult when walking through crowded areas due to the size and how it sits. Tried to return straight it away but Timbuk2 customer service is very poor and very slow at responding. It took about two months to get a clear answer of no refund and no exchange.

Once I finally got my bag, took almost two weeks, I have used it since. It's a great quality bag that I got a great deal on thanks to Cyber Monday prices. The material is very durable and I can already tell it'll last awhile. My only complaint so far is that the tablet pocket is not big enough for larger tablets. or laptops. My laptop and iPad Pro ride together in the zipper pocket safety. Just wish I could put one or the other in the slide pocket for a little separation. Overall, I'm happy. Looking forward to travelling with it next week which will be a true test.

I absolutely love this bag, it has space for everything, pockets galore, padded protection for those all too pricey essentials and its comfortable to wear/carry regardless of whats inside.
I wish I'd found this bag countless bags ago! I wouldn't hesitate for one second on buying this again. I'd happily buy a backup but I can't see where this one will ever need to be replaced.

I have long been a fan of Timbuk2 bags. So when my old Timbuk2 bag became damaged, I looked to Timbuk2 for a replacement. I ended up with the Command Messenger medium bag. And I ended up very disappointed.
First, the bag holds very little. This problem could have been fixed easily by providing alittle more slack in the various sections and pockets.
Second, Timbuk2's trend towards side zip pockets is, in my humble opinion, disastrous. My last bag had one such pocket. I quickly learned to avoid using it for fear of my personal items falling out and becoming lost or damaged. For this Command messenger, Timbuk2 had the genius idea of filling the bag with these pockets. I ended up living in fear of losing or damaging my stuff due to falls from the pockets, prompting me to force everything into the narrow interior sections of the bag.
On the positive side, as is always the case with Timbuk2, the bag is very well constructed and should last a very long time. Unfortunately for me, mine now sits idle. I ended up getting another non-Timbuk2 bag that holds my stuff better and more securely.

I took it upon myself to gift me this bag for my birthday. I must really love me. It's such a nice gift. It has pockets for all of my everything and room for more. It's durable and stylish. Can't go wrong with lifetime warranty! I love it so much. Thanks TimBuk2. I have a treasure to last a lifetime.

This bag is huge (we bought the large), and can accommodate a 17" laptop. A few pockets for cords and other things that benefit from organization. The material is great and the general quality is excellent. We would have liked more internal organization for travel needs, but are happy with the purchase.

I picked up the Command Messenger Bag on sale (hard to resist a sale!) and got to take it on a business trip this past weekend. Overall, I really like it! In particular, the buckles on the flap are great: I'm not a fan of the common plastic snap buckles common on a lot of bags. The velcro closure, and the option of using it or not, is great, too. My favorite feature is the access to various zippered pockets while the bag is closed without having to undo the buckles; I just wish there was easier access to them while wearing the bag on my left side (as I usually do). Based on performance from this trip, I've definitely adopted a new regular-use bag!

Loved this bag for my business trip last week. It had great easy to access compartments and the fact it was smaller and compact forced me to take really only what I needed.

I had a command bag which I bought ~7 years ago, such a great bag but it was time to replace it because it was starting to wear out.
I bought the new model, the bag is a big different but still very good, and looks very professional as a shoulder bag or as a briefcase.
I normally carry a woman's wallet (which is bigger then a man's wallet), two pairs of glasses, a 13 inch mac book pro with its charger, computer cables, small digital camera, some hygiene stuff and sometimes a book for spare time.
There is less organizational space for small items and the pocket for power bricks/chargers doesn't fit a mac book pro's charger (with or without the cable). But the new small pocket on the cover is super useful.
So I had to reorganize my stuff in the bag, but the big plus is that once I put everything in, it doesn't look bulky, it doesn't feel heavy, doesn't matter if I carry it on my shoulder or in my hand as a briefcase. Just wonderful.
The shoulder strap is very comfortable and easy to adjust.
It's a really good bag, the only reason I'm giving four stars is because I'm disappointed with the chargers pocket. I still use the pocket for other things.
I also would have liked a vista loop, like the old bag.

I have been using this bag for 6 months. I am also female. It is light enough to carry but I love the hybrid part of it. Easy to throw on as a cross body bag as I walk 2 blocks to work. My computer also includes my office phone so using the compartments for phone accessories and cameras is perfect. The accessories can have their own place without taking up value space in the main compartment. It has been through torrential rain and a snowstorm and not a drop of water got inside. It is comforting to have the clasps on the outside of the bag for added contents security. I hope seeing this "final" sale doesn't mean this bag is gone forever!

The hook clasps took a little getting used to, but this bag is NEVER going to wear out! I have owned it for a few months and am still showing it off like it just arrived! Comfortable strap, perfect space/amount of pockets, fantastic quality! Love!
