I use this the medium size of this product to transport my laptop and charger for my job as a software developer. Every day, I walk about a mile to and from my office while wearing the bag. I have a Macbook Pro with a Retina screen, which is a bit of a tight fit in the bag with the other things I carry. But aside from not being able to comfortably fit as many things as I would like, this is a great bag for travel.

I bought this bag for my daughter, a senior in high school. The bag is very attractive, roomy, and well made. She loves it! It holds a whole lot! She loves all of the pockets and features and is looking forward to using it as she heads off to college next year.

Great bag. Make sure you read what the pockets are for because they work great for what they're designed for. The design is just clever on this ,made for people who are using their computer and commuting every day, and even walking between offices. the laptop is easy to put in and take out, ti's well protected, and there's built in tablet slots too. Water resistance is a major plus too. Overall, it's a great bag, the best I've ever owned. Time will tell how long it lasts, but so far it seems very rugged/sturdy. and it looks really nice too

This bag fits my giant laptop and allows me room in the main storage compartment. A pleasure to travel with.

I needed a messenger bag that feels like a light and comfortable backpack that can hold my laptop and some everyday basics.. unfortunately this is too big and too wide, not kool looking for me.

This is a great bag for daily use as well as air travel. The laptop and tablet compartment is a great convenience for going through security. The zipper pocket running underneath the bag works very well for carrying things that don't require quick access - I use it for scarves, gloves, and shopping bags, but it would work well for many other items as well. Two small suggestions to make this bag even better: honing the balance and dividing some of the small pockets in the main compartment for pens. My bag does not stand well on its own, which I would like it to do, and I would rather have individual pockets for pens rather than two pockets that can hold two pens. These minor things aside, this is a great bag that I hope to use for a long time.

I tested this on a recent business trip. I had my laptop, 2 cell phones and all the other stuff I needed for a short trip. One down side is that it is a bit big to fill under the seat in Coach. I have a backpack that fits better under the seat. The thing I like about it, though, is that it has a place for everything and has the TSA-approved pouch for laptop and Kindle. The side compartment for the laptop power supply is a bit snug; have to take the cables apart to make it fit.

I really love your bags, Timbuk2. I was glad to receive this one (my third) as a gift. I really love the computer and iPad sleeves. I would appreciate more interior zipper compartments and a divider within the main compartment, and please put the red ribbon key latch on all your bags! (If you send me a red ribbon, I'll find a way to attach it myself!)

It is a great bag for carrying my computer on flights but I use it every day to carry my computer and files with me to the office.

I purchased this yesterday at the NOHO store in NYC as I was looking for a proper laptop bag for traveling. In which I felt this was a good fit for what I wanted. As far as the bag is concerned there is not much to complain about right now. I am however very disappointed to find out just now these are not made in the USA. This is my third Timbuk2 bag, the first from 2003 and the second from 2007 both those bags are made in USA so I did not think twice or even bother to ask or to research the country of origin when I made the decision to purchase this, that was my mistake. This is very disappointing purchase for me because I chose Timbuk2 specifically because it is USA made and finding out my bag isn't after I purchased it just ruined any joy I had for the bag.

Love it. Plenty of pockets. Building tough.

I bought a Command Messenger Bag in Medium for myself last year which I love, my husband noticed it and wanted to steal it, but I told him I would get him his own and he could pick out the colors of the bag, which he did and I ordered a Command Messenger Bag in Medium In Blue for Christmas. So then my son said he wanted a messenger bag for Christmas too, and I knew right where to go I ordered one for him the Command Messenger Bag in black and it is a Large size (the one I am reviewing now), my son is so happy with this bag - it fits his computer and all his stuff that he needs for college. I had also bought my daughter one too when she was in college in red - the command messenger. You guys make such an awesome product - I'm sure we will buy from you again!!

I bought this bag as my teacher bag to replace the typical tote. It protects my laptop and iPad in the back compartment. The inside is roomy enough and sturdy enough for my 2nd graders to slide in their folders for me to grade at home. I like that the two parts are separate. I can fit about 12 student folders in at a time, more if I don't have the laptop in. There is an inner zipper pocket and a few little slots to store pens and post-it's. I don't really use the side pocket like I thought I would. It's a little small for the travel mugs I usually use. The Velcro closure is awesome because I don it have the patience to deal with the clips on the front. I would only use the clips for extra security if I was traveling. I also like that the bag holds its shape. It doesn't slouch. The bag looks professional and gets the job done. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Love the fact that it's recycled material. You wouldn't know by looking at it that it's made from recycled material. The pockets on the outside that you can slip things in quickly are great for when you have to go through metal detectors. Put your keys and cell phone in and go. I'd like to see a clip inside to hold keys, my previous bag from another co. had one and I miss it. The mesh pocket on the outside is small so if you like to use anything but a small bottle you're out of luck.

Very useful compartments. Protects laptop well. Regular price was too high, but sale was good.

I've been abusing the same Timbuk2 messenger bag since 1994 so thought I'd give this laptop bag a chance and see if anything has changed. Time will ultimately tell, but it looks like business as usual...this bag seems to be as heavy duty as my first one so I'm looking forward to not buying another one ever.

I use this beautiful/comfortable/practical bag to carry my tablet/computer along with other references as I transition from a clinic setting to the operating room.

Ordered this for my boyfriend who is a civil engineer and he absolutely loves it. Durable but stylish bag to go between construction sites and the office. Pockets for everything.

The hooks to close the cover are a Kittle cumbersome, but aotherwise it's a well made bag that still looks brand new. Highly recommended, would buy it again.

I like this bag, but the TSA compliant computer compartment reduces the capacity in the main bucket. If you want to carry bulkier items go with a Classic Messenger.

This is my 2nd Command Messenger. The small size carries all my essentials for business travel, and makes navigating TSA security a breeze. It's well made and durable. I'd like to see a few more internal pockets, and a key hasp; like my previous bags.
