I LOVE my new briefcase! I am a casual, outdoorsy person trying to work in the business world. ;)
I love that this bag fits shows my personality, but it's attractive and professional looking.

Bought it for my husband as a birthday gift. He loves it especially very roomy! He is a software engineer so he needs to carry laptop and some other electronic devices. This bag is so roomy that he can easily pack all his staffs in it. The strap is very comfortable also. The only con is it is much bigger than I expected. I should have ordered medium in stead of large.

I use this to carry my 15" MacBook Pro, iPad, as well as a couple books... with lots of room for extras. This is the best computer bag I have ever owned.

Beautiful bag. I seem to find new hidden compartments and zippers every day. The medium is slightly bigger than I was hoping, but no complaints... it's better than being too small!

Love it but could be just a little wider. My laptop is large so it just squeezes in the zippered part. I checked dimensions and they worked but because of the zipper a bit of the width is lost if that makes sense. No zipper and the laptop would fit perfectly. Now I have to open the all around zipper to use laptop section. Bummer. Great bag though, quality is fantastic.

I was looking for a stylish but conservative bag that wasn't black and didn't look like every other bag. Mission accomplised!

Love it! Actually, more than I expected and I had high expectations. Minor (really!) complaints: 1) I wish it had a loop or ring in the main compartment to hook keys to. 2) I wish I could have ordered a customized version with my choice of colors/etc.

Bought this bag to replace a Tumi briefcase I have used for decades. Weight was killing me. Was worried there were not enough pockets to store everything I needed on the road. I had to thin out some of the things I bring but hardly use; would love to see more pockets in the Timbuk2.
Would be great if they had a pocket/storage are for headphones...would give it 5 stars then

I take this bag with me to the office every day and travel. I travel at least twice a month and this bag has well thought out compartments that can be accessed without opening the main compartment. I use on compartment on the side for chargers and wires. The pocket on the flap for earphones and headsets. I use the napoleon pocket for travel documents and where I put my metal objects when I pass through security. All are accessible individually without opening the main compartment.

I bought this bag for a large laptop. I used the fit guide on the website and ordered the bag that it said to. I wish I had ordered a size larger. The laptop does fit but it is extremely tight. With the laptop in the bag the top handle sits to the side, I can not use the Velcro rain tabs, and I can hardly fit the charge cable in with it. There is no padding on the bottom so you have to be very careful setting the bag down with a laptop in it. I do love the bag, I just wish it were larger and more padded.

I really enjoy the small Command Messenger Bag. It is quite stylish and quite roomy. My only comment is that its missing the usually standard red key ring strap to store your keys as when you go through TSA.

I had been using a colleague's bag and after three trips overseas, I decided it was time for me to own my own! It is the best investment I have ever made! In fact, it is packed and ready to accompany me to Hawaii! I am in love with my travel companion! Thanks Timbuk2 folks for making it for me!

I take this with me to work daily. I work in multiple environments (office and hospital) and it works well. It holds all I need, including a laptop, some small reference books and a few other things.
The only problem I found with it is that the 'Oxide and Adobe' coloring is darker than what is shown. I looked at it on multiple devices, all with different screens and it was a lighter gray on all of them. It still looks nice, it just wasn't quite the color I expected.

I have been using this bag for about 2 months now and it perfectly fits my needs. Most of the time I only carry around a lap top and a levenger, and the bag comfortably fits them. It is definitely a slim bag, but has the ability to expand when need to carry more.
Additionally, you can tell great care was put into the design of this bag because it seems to have a pocket right where I would always want one.
Overall, it is a great bag and I would recommend it to anyone!

Great bag with great materials. Thoughtful design for office worker. Look good and functional. Two things I wish it could be improved. When I walk with it, I hear a couple metal zipper handles making noises. Also when I put the bag on the floor or table, it tends to fall over instead of standing upright. Other than those, it is the best messenger bag I ever own!

The bag worked as intended and is made from quality materials. Great, especially if you can get at a discounted price.

Overall the bag is nice but the angled bottom means it never sits up when you set it down. I have to lean it against something to keep it upright or else it topples over forward. It might seem like a small thing to note, but it is ANNOYING beyond belief. Especially if you have your bag filled with electronics, liquids, etc. A bag should stand up when put down.

I work for a fashion company and opted to get the Timbuk2 Command Messenger back instead of one we make because it's stylish yet extremely functional (so many compartments in all the right places). From opening it till now, I still learn more and more about it everyday. Yesterday I learned it's water repellant as I walked through the rain and just brushed the water off once I got to the train station. This might be the first Timbuk2 product I bought, but it will not be the last.

This bag is almost perfect. Great quality, which I've always seen from Timbuk2. Lot's of compartments, some I didn't even find until a few days after using the bag, also love the general structure of the compartments. The bag also fits really well and is comfortable to carry.
I say almost perfect because my only complaint is the metal buckles on the front. I understand wanting the bag to be secure, especially when riding/walking, but I think the buckles are too secure making it difficult to get in and out of the bag. Maybe a slightly less aggressive hook at the end would solve the issue.

I had the Commute Messenger Bag and loved the layout. The Command Messenger bag was the only size in this style that would hold my new Dell 7510. It is an okay bag but not much better than a burlap sack with a shoulder strap. very few internal compartments and only two external zippered compartments so I have everything piled in the bottom of the bag.
