Bought for daughter size 2-4. After reading dozens of reviews, decided size S would fit. She is 5'6/ 130 lb athletic slim build. Small is very loose in the back and about 2" too long in sleeves. Love the color and style, and shirt is comfortable/ not scratchy. Returning it- may order the XS.

Underplayed for backcountry skiing.

Wear under PJ's and also an underlayer outside on cold Midwest days.

Love the navy with red Cross pattern. Can wear it for work outs or cool light sweater with jeans. Lots of compliments.

Fit well and temperature regulating but I did find it itchy. Was hoping it would be more soft. I purchased a M which is the size I wear in most brands.

Love the fabric & colors. Perfect for cold winter days when you don't want a lot of bulk or like to layer. Only reason for 4 starts is it runs a little small.

Loved the fabric and color, but this item in size Large was clearly meant to be worn by someone taller than my 5'3" -- it was much too long to be practical. I have another Smartwool top, given to me a few years ago, also size Large, that fits perfectly. I wish that clothing manufacturers could be more consistent in their sizing!

This is a great base layer but I thought it would be thicker, it's almost see through. the feel is super soft, nice against skin. I bought it for skiing and would need too wear a warm sweater over it and my coat. the fit was good. I am 130lbs 5'6" and got the small. it was not snug. kind of just right if you don't like tight. The color was really nice, just wish they still made thicker base layers.

Let me preface this by saying that I love this product.. it is incredibly versatile. I have used it as a baselayer, a midlayer, and a sweatshirt. For travel this thing is unparalleled for its flexibility. Perfect weight, great colors, great product. However... I bought one, loved it, bought a second one. Between the two I washed, as per manufacturer's instructions, the first. The shrinkage... is epic. Inches in length, inches in width.. epic shrinkage. Because I wanted it to be able to fit over flannel shirts I bought this thing one size up, so even with the shrinkage it still fits comfortably as a base or midlayer... but be warned. If this fits in the store, buy the next size up in anticipation of shrinkage.

Wear it alone, with a vest, layered or under a blouse at the office! A solid all round piece that keeps you warm! So many color options, it can be hard to choose just one.

Looking forward to wearing this in the cold months ahead. Very pretty color and nicely made. Only negative is that it is really tight and fitted, wish you made a more relaxed fit version.

I bought past season colors on sale at a different website and liked the 250's so much I wanted different colors. ( I only owned the 150 baselayers) I purchased this season color Blue Ice Heather. It is slightly light blue with a heavy heather grey. I prefer last season's deeper jeweled colors to this season's colors. For reference I'm 5'3, 106 lbs., 32A bust and an XS fits nicely...it is fitted, but better for layering, although for me it is still loose enough to wear by itself. The S was too loose in the torso and shoulders.

Just one little reservation before I enter into how much I love this piece. I have always purchased base layer as very close fitting. That being said I probably would order an XS next time. I'm 5'4" 125lbs, think it should be more fitted for skiing. Now for the accolades.... I bought this piece to add to my base layer quiver but honestly the quality and craftsmanship have me looking for all opportunities to wear it for other occasions; a stand alone piece to dress up with just a few accessories. The color is rich, it's care is effortless. Honestly I'd recommend everyone should own this piece. I'm ordering it in a couple of other colors, I'm that thrilled. And I know I will have them for years to come. Heading to Colorado for a week in January, I will probably have to wash it the night before because I wear it that often.

I use this for a day of skiing and it was great. It was soft on the skin kept me warm and dry all day.

I think it should be replaced

Overall sizing is not appropriate for petite sizing. I had hoped the sleeves would not be so very long even for a regular size.

I ordered the marmalade Heather and the color is nothing like that shown online. I do like the color that arrived, but it's way darker and a totally different shade than was shown.

I use this as a base layer for snowmobiling. It fit initially, but sagged and stretched. Hot water wash and dryer brings it back. I find it a little bit scratchy. Order size down.

I returned this because bottoms didn't fit. Fabric seemed nice. Sleeves were a little snug.

Cute design and got it on sale! It was a bit itchy but was warm.

Three stars because the shirt seemed like a good underlayer, but buying online was a mistake. I measured myself and followed the size chart, but the shirt was a size too big

Size LG fits like an XLG, have to return. What happened to Smartwool's V-neck mid-weight long sleeve shirt? Easy-Peasy returns with ZAPPOS & speedy deliveries.

Smartwool must have found some new factories to make this top. The sizing is way off from previous Mid Crew tops. I have many Smartwool tops that all fit perfectly (15+). This one was quite a surprise - the arms and body are shorter and body is about 2" wider. Just a warning, there appears to be inconsistency in the fit of this top. If possible, go to a local store to buy.
