This is my 4th pair of this style but the first of 2.0 and they do for a little different. I used to buy 5.5 in previous model but in the 2.0 the 6 is perfect.

I had a pair of the Troopa original boots and I loved them as well. But these are literally everything good about the original but amplified. The zipper is much sturdier. There is actual tread on these compared to the totally smooth originals. They also come in wide width which is fantastic. The only issue I have with these is the fact that they squeak when I walk depending on the flooring I'm on.

Love this! I was skeptical of this brand because I previously had the exact style but in a different brand and I wore it until the zipper stopped working

This is my second pair of these. Not because the ones I purchased in 2017 are falling apart, but because I never want to be without them. They can be dressed up or down. There is no “break in” period, they are immediately comfortable and fit true to size. I can’t recommend these boots enough.

Feels like good quality for the price. Bought my daughter a pair too. They may be a little big for the size (roomy toe box). I usually order a size up in boots to accommodate my wide feet and allow for thicker socks, but not necessary. Tall enough shaft to keep pants tucked in. Feels like a steel toe from the outside, but it isn't. I like the firm toe as that spot takes a lot of abuse and this boot toe will stand up to that and not get mushy. Very comfortable soft leather boot.

These boots are a great color that go with a lot. It is a mixed tan color for the ones I got. This helps to blend any scratches or scuffs. I like the zipper which helps to easily get the boots on and off. They felt a little tight at first, but after wearing around the house a few times this helped to break them in.

Love the style of the shoe. I normally wear a 6.5 but had to go up a half size Bc of how narrow the toe is on the shoe and where the seem hit on my foot. Otherwise no complaints.

I love these boots! 3rd pair similar. Very comfortable, accommodates my footbeds. Perfect height heel and love the color.

I love these boots. I added a Dr. Scholl insole for some more support (and that also made them a bit more snug -- I ordered up a half size). They give off a bit of a plastic-y smell right out of the box, but I am enjoying them. I walk a lot and they are quite comfortable and go with a surprising number of kinds of outfits.

I keep buying these boots. Over 5 years, I've just bought my third pair. That may sound like a bad thing, but I wear these literally every day, summer or winter, rain or shine, and give them ZERO maintenance. They quickly turn into the perfect grunge look combat boots :) The reason I keep buying a new pair is because after two years at the most I break through the bottom of them where the middle of my foot bends, so I still keep the old pair because they are perfectly worn, but I need a new pair to wear for if it's raining haha. They are true to size, I'm usually a 6 but a 6.5 in all boots (these included). I chose "felt wider than marked" because the standard width of these boots that fits me perfectly (M) is much wider than any other Steve Madden shoe, I usually don't fit into their heels because they are so narrow. These boots do not have arch support - I am very flat-footed, and after a couple of months you can clearly see that in the wear of the boot. All that said, these are my favorite shoes ever. They are so comfortable, I literally wear them everywhere 24/7 they are the perfect combat boot.

I bought these for my daughter. They are not my style but when they arrived, I have to admit they are super cute. The quality was outstanding! The leather was high quality. Unfortunately I had to return them because the stitching rubbed my daughters ankle in an uncomfortable spot.

Size fit well even with my wide width. Very happy with my purchase.

Love these boots! I have the black and will be ordering the brown as well. I wear them for work and am on my feet all day and they are very comfortable. Yes, there is a strong smell when first out of the box but it went away within a few days but it would not deter me from ordering them again.

I love these boots. They go with pretty much everything and I can walk all day in them.

Super cute and much more comfortable than the original troopa. I had those for years before the holes in the soles finally got too bad. Very happy with these!

Incredibly comfortable. The heel is a smidge tight at first but after a few times of wearing these beautiful boots, I've found that the heel did break in a little. My ankle socks I've worn with them do not slip down my foot and I've got nothing but compliments since I've started wearing them.

This leather combat boot is exactly what I have been looking for! They were comfortable right out of the box and feel true to size and width (I wear an 8 1/2). I love the lace up look, however I am very thankful for the zipper for easy on and off. I just purchased these and have only worn them once so far. They seem well constructed and I like the slightly rugged sole. I have a feeling these are going to be my "go to" footwear so it will be interesting to see how well they hold up.
