TOTAL GARBAGE. Soles RIPPED And split in half. after barely wearing them a few months. I tripped on a sidewalk from this. They are totally unsalvageable. Total waste.

I have nothing to say about these boots as I couldn't actually wear the ones I ordered. I purchased these in 8.5W, but received 8.5M (the box was correct, the boots themselves were not). I sent them back, and was promised a correct replacement. I was satisfied. But then the next pair showed up, and it was the same issue. Sent them back again for a refund. Got an email saying they had fixed their inventory issue, so I tried one more time. And I received the wrong size, yet again. I have nothing bad to say about the boots themselves. And the customer service those first two times was fine. The rest of it, though? It's been a waste of my time and energy, and I don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

I ordered these twice in 7.5 W and both times received a 7.5 M in an incorrectly labelled box - this appears to be a factory level issue as both pairs were M in a W box and did not seemed to have been previously opened or tried on. I asked for a refund to my original payment method and was promised that would happen but I received a Zappos credit instead.

I love the fit and style of these boots, but unfortunately I will be returning them due to their strong chemical order. When I opened the shoebox the smell instantly filled the room anc made my husband nauseous. I am concerned they may be toxic. Too bad - I really liked these boots.

I ordered a 7.5 wide and they fit perfectly with thinner socks. I feel like thick socks would be uncomfortable. I'm THRILLED that these fit my wide feet and sewer pipe size calves. They're SUPER cute! As for the arch support - I have pretty flat feet, and I don't feel like these offer much if any support. I think if I wore these for more than a day, my feet would start to hurt. And I'm not sure if an arch support insole would fit. Super happy with them, though.

LOVE these SO much I have them in both brown and black! The style is classy, the fit is perfect! (and I have hard-to-fit feet!) REAL leather for an awesome price! These simply cannot be beat!

They are nice and wide. I have very wide feet. They are stiff but I believe they are built to last. They are a bit taller than my other boots, which I like a lot.

Adorable boots....I really wanted these to work but they felt too narrow for my W foot....very sad making!

I am very hard to fit. My left foot is almost a full size larger and I may need a Wide depending on the style and the brand. I order 8.5 or 9, looking for a shoe that fits my larger foot comfortably without being too big on the smaller foot. I ordered the Cognac in 8.5 Wide and the Black in 8.5 because they did not have it in the Wide. I tried the Black on first and they fit great with a pair of medium weight socks. I did not need a Wide. That first day I wore them to work and then out to dinner. They had gotten a little uncomfortable by the end of the day but I have been wearing sandals and Sketchers slip-ons all summer/early fall so I might just need to get used to wearing "real shoes" again. I did notice my heel slipping but I find that is typical in boots and it was not enough to go down a size. I can always use a heel pad, especially for the smaller foot. When I tried on the Cognac in 8.5 Wide I felt that there was no difference in width between them and the Black 8.5 Medium. Actually they felt a tiny bit more narrow. I did have to exchange them for another pair because the zipper was stuck. The second pair of Cognac in 8.5 Wide fit fine. As for style, these were exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a combat style without the big lugged sole and I wanted them 7 - 8 inches tall. The leather is nice but not the highest quality. Overall I am satisfied with these boots.

Good, classic pair of boots. I liked the Wide toe - good for my feet - which are wide & have bunions. However I returned them as I preferred the Sketchers design/style more.

I was a fan of the look and fit of the original Troopa, but there was a deficit when it came to quality and not being able to stand the test of time—a year. And I know I am not alone in this observation. So the fact that the Steve Madden listened to all of the constructive criticism while retaining the look we all love and came out with the 2.0 version was not only unusual, but appreciated—the new versions are better and still look great.

Loveeee these! Great for the fall. I have very wide feet so they are a little tight but not bad at all. Definitely wearable.

Great shoe! Wore it to the ground---lasted me 5 years and hundreds and hundreds of miles of walking

True to size

I love these boots. This is actually the third pair I’ve owned. I’ve always preferred the troopa 2, it has a chunkier more steady sole. If you want a nice traditional pair of combat boots, these are the way to go. Their so comfortable and last for years. I find their true to size with room for winter socks. Their cute with dresses too:)

These are super cute and comfy. I wanted something easy to throw on when I need to run an errand, but they’re also cute to make an outfit. I did notice they squeak but they may have been wet and it didn’t bother me much. I usually wear an 8, but the 7.5 fit pretty well!

Maybe a bit larger than expected but since my daughter may still be growing we kept them, and she is wearing them comfortably, especially since the style is likely to be worn with a thicker sock. They are not lined, with fabric, the way many boots of this style tend to be. Will cross seasons well -- warm sock in winter/lighter sock or tights in warmer weather. They are not weatherproofed but we will spray them. A good price point, especially for a pre-teen's boot. Classic, stylish.

Ran 1/2 size larger for me. VERY comfortable and they look great. Classic combat boot style.
