very uncomfortable

The ECCO Soft was actually super stiff and I'm returning them because the tongue of the right shoe bulged out on one side at the bottom and rubbed my toe terribly. Maybe it's just something wrong with the sewing on this pair but I won't order a replacement since they're so stiff.

Not at all comfortable

Something really weird is going on with the toe box -- like there's a strip of cardboard going across the top of the shoe. I thought there might be packaging material stuck in the shoe, but no.

So cute, but so small. My other ECCO shoes in the same size fit perfectly. These were so much smaller in length, width, and even the height of the toe box. I’m returning these and will try a size larger.

The shoe was very stiff and rubbed the back of my heel. The fit was okay but there wasn't much arch support.

My toes were jammed up against the top of the shoes, and the leather is very still. I'm returning the shoes as it is very painful. I was super surprised - I actually triple-checked thinking that perhaps the wrong size/width had been sent, but sadly no.

I have worn Ecco shoes (golf & street styles) for 15 years. This is the first pair EVER to be uncomfortable & inflexible. Very stiff fit, blister (with socks) on little toe area, after 3 wearings. Beautiful style, great color, but not the quality I am accustomed to from Ecco. The shoe has to be comfortable to keep. Sorry

I'd describe these as super shallow in the toe with a wide heal. My first attempt to put them on brought serious pain to a toe from being scraped by the sharp, stiff leather inside that tight toe box. With the top insole removed, there's more room for the toes, but then my heel is constantly slipping up and down. Just no way to make both ends fit.

They were too big

These shoes were mis-sized. I tried on the identical shoe at an Ecco store and their 40 was too big (i.e. long). The 40 you shipped me was too short.

I had high hopes for these shoes, but sadly they are going back. The fit was fine (size 11), but they are so deeply uncomfortable. The leather is incredibly stiff to the point that it felt like plastic made to look like leather. Just trying them on and taking a few steps, they were already poking into parts of my ankles as there was absolutely no give. Plus the insoles are really hard. Like the other pair of ecco shoes I have, there are two insoles inside. The shoes don't fit with both of them in, but when you remove the extra pair, the shoes are uncomfortable. For how expensive these are, I was expecting so much more.

Cute shoe, but runs small.

I have bought this style several times before, but these are too narrow across the toes.

I have worn Ecco shoes before and loved them but not these sadly. They felt small, narrow and very stiff especially at the heel. The antique bronze color was interesting but looked like someone had spray painted them. The laces were thick, hard to tie and felt waxy. Not a good purchase for me this time. I should also add that they came in a flimsy bag and the box containing the sneakers didn’t even have the lid on…it was underneath the box itself. I’m surprised these survived the journey.

These are beautiful sneakers, exactly what I wanted in smooth black leather. Unfortunately, the left shoe was too big so I am sending them back.

I initially loved these shoes as they are very comfortable. However, after only like 5 wears the insoles have separated from the shoe inside and bunch up every time I take them off. Very frustrating considering the price.

I ordered the Ecco soft sneakers that I thought would be like the shoes I have bought for the last 8 years. These were not the same and I should have heeded the advice of other reviewers. They looked the same and were probably the correct size but were very uncomfortable. The leather was stiff, not soft and the seam on the top hurt my baby toe. I returned them with the hope that Ecco can find a new supplier soon!

I never in my 67 years have tried to put on a shoe and not be able to get my foot into the shoe. I had to unlace the shoes completely to try and get my foot in. I am a 7 1/2 consistently and sometimes an 8 in athletic sneakers. These were a 38 and as soon as I opened the box I knew it was a NO. Way too narrow. I would say these ran almost 2 sizes too small for me. Maybe they are mismarked, but I know it's not my foot. I have normal width feet. Back they go. Otherwise they seem nice but when I did squish my smaller foot in one, it was incredibly tight.

I agree with a lot of the reviews on Ecco's website about this shoe (and some of them here) that reference a change in what this shoe used to be. The formula seems to have shifted drastically to make what used to be by far my favorite pair of shoes (purchased years ago) completely unwearable now. These were very stiff and tight, so even though I really wanted to love them, I had to return. The search for replacements to my well-worn Ecco sneakers from 2017 continues.

Feels very stiff like a bowling sneaker. I have the same pair that's 10 years old but it had much more cushion and support. Ecco must have changed the manufacturer.

it didn't feel like a wide width at all. beautiful shoes. wish they fit.
