I have severely pronated feet and, after trying many brands, have only bought Brooks Addiction athletic shoes for many years. When I wear them with my custom orthotics, I can go forever. Oddly, I've tried the Addiction Walker and they don't give me the same level of comfort.

I am returning these because, they are not like the Adrenaline GTS 13 or 14's. They worked so well for me. I am going to try the 15 or 16 Gts adrenaline, as I am unable to find the 13 or 14's. Hopefully I will like them.

Fantastically comfortable. I suffer from mild bunions that can get painful from time to time. I use these for fitness walking mixed with a little running and they're very supportive yet cushioned perfectly. Not the best looking shoe I've owned but they feel like a dream.

I wear a size 11 in most shoes and sandals, but my toes wouldn't quite fit in these, I was surprised at how small they were!

Nice fitting, cushy shoe overall.
Right heel felt wide though.

I tried this on and then the Saucony Redeemer. Both are meant for extreme overpronation. This specific Brooks shoe did not offer me as much support as the Saucony Redeemer. This would be more for moderate pronation. Though, I can see how it could be a comfy sneaker otherwise. There's plenty of space for your feet and doesn't feel like it's too narrow or tight. I have flat feet so that's important to me as well.

Out of the box, the shoes were not comfortable for my problem feet but I gave them 3 stars because I was able to make them work. The arch support is great -- enough so that I don't need my custom insoles. The main problem is that there is not much cushioning and the shoe itself feels extra hard, so it feels like I'm walking on a bare wood floor. Usually I replace a shoe's thin insoles with my nicely cushioned insoles but because the arch support is built into these shoes, even after removing their insoles, the shoes' arch support combined with the arch support of the insoles I added turned me into a major under-pronator. I was able to solve the comfort problem by inserting a flat gel insole under the shoe's existing insole, which has given the shoe enough cushioning to make it comfortable. With the extra gel insole and the shoe's natural arch support, I'd give the shoe 4 stars but I only gave it 3 stars because it didn't come that way.
Another minor issue: Maybe it's because I got the wide width, but the shoelaces were twice as long as they needed to be -- even after tying them in a big bow and double knot, the laces still dragged on the floor so I had to replace them. Not a big deal, but for as much as these shoes cost, they should be right right out of the box.

Another pair of poorly designed color combinations in expensive running shoes. I want a stylish shoe in neutral colors. There are eight colors on these shoes! The overdone turquoise portions are not even the same color turquoise!
Brooks give us some decent style and we will buy your shoes.

I wear Brooks because they fit my extra-wide feet and provide excellent arch support. Last year, I switched from the Ariel to the Addiction in order to save $40. To my surprise, the Addiction 12 was much less durable. It was showing bad signs of wear within 6 weeks of my purchase, and within a couple of months, you could see my socks in multiple places through the mesh.
I suppose when reviewers say this shoe is "softer" than the Ariel, they mean it's made with lighter, less-durable materials. I'm considering switching back to New Balance, in hopes of finding something that lasts 6 months without becoming Swiss cheese.

I was so disappointed with these running shoes as I have worn the addiction style for several years. I have a wide foot and this style has wide toe box. However, they are much more cheaply made now. The counter (heel) is lower so they slip on my heel. The inside of the heel area has formed holes. The toe stitching came undone revealing my sock. Brooks has reduced the addiction style to a "cheaply" made running shoe.

Love the upper - very comfortable. Love the wide width & toe box. Not enough cushion in sole - can feel the hard road.

Not as comfy as the Ravenna 7 for me. Quite a bit of cushioning and feels very stable but not right for me.

I generally wear an 8 1/2 medium or 9 narrow. After reading the reviews that the toe box ran narrow, I ordered the 9 in a medium width. Yes, the toe box fit fine on my somewhat narrow foot, but the heel slipped. I'm concerned that in a narrow, the toe box will be tight. The support was just ok...not the support of the addiction walker, though. My search for a good walking/running shoe continues.

I purchased these as a replacement for the Brooks Ariel. My feet prefer the Ariels. I've won the Addiction many times, but it has never broken in to be fully comfortable. It is a well-made shoe, just not made for my feet.

They fit well, but they are stiff and there is very little cushioning in the sole. If I hadn't have worn them out, I would have returned them.

Great support, but needed to buy full size larger, usually take a 9, ended up in a 10. One major complaint - after seven months a hole appeared at the toe of one sneaker. Not even the big toe - the the middle. The mesh is really weak to have ripped already!

Very supportive shoe with lots of padding but my foot didn't fit quite right, so I'm returning these. Chose the Brooks Adrenaline instead. Also, not the best looking shoe.

This shoe is very comfortable for my 10-12 hour shifts, however the mesh in my right shoe has already worn out. I'm very disappointed, but going to try another pair to see if this was a fluke.

Purchased a D (wide) width in my normal 7.5 size. Too short--my toes hit the end. Too narrow as well. Too bad, because I could actually tolerate the color. Brooks only offers 1 color for wide widths so this color, for me, was better than most. Wish Brooks would get rid of the shiny plastic trim pieces. Looks cheap and blingy!

I thought I'd try these. Does not fit like my older Brook Addiction shoes. I usally buy a 10 2E for more room because of foot problems. I this version I need a 10 1/2 2E and nothing has changed about my foot. I have many shoes in a regular size 9 1/2 WW and 10 WW. Color kind of weird.

I wanted to like these, as I needed a replacement for my long-beloved Mizuno Wave Alchemys, now discontinued. I have long, narrow feet and need motion control shoes. Brooks gets points for being one of the few remaining that make motion control shoes in a narrow width, but these shoes were average at best on comfort, and ugly as heck. I was hoping that they would be better looking in person. Unfortunately, they are going back and I am keeping the New Balance W940V2s.

I was looking to replace the pair of Pure Cadence I bought two years ago, and the new version is nothing like the old. I thought these would come close, but they missed the mark. I need stability shoes, but these are very bulky and clunky, I felt like I was wearing clown shoes. I returned them.

I loved the Brooks Addiction 11. I thought I loved the Brooks Addiction 12 but alas! After wearing the show a half dozen times, my toe poked a hole in the top of the shoe! So I bought another pair, thinking it was me. Nope. Same thing happened again!

Had to return. Ordered narrow and it seemed as wide as M. I really liked the shoe, too bad. I am a big Brooks fan, but these didn't work for me.
