I bought these because I was looking to try a better recommended running shoe than my Nikes, but I'm not entirely sure how I feel about them. They are absolutely running shoes- doing most causes my feet to fit oddly and uncomfortably in them, which is unfortunate because I do a lot of cross-training, but when I took them out for a run, they were the best I've ever put on. I do wear a half size and bought the 9.5 which is a smidge loose for my taste but not loose enough to make running difficult or to justify sizing down.

This is the best pair of shoes I have bought in the last few months. I have many issues with my right foot and these do not hurt me. Zappos has given me many coupons because of shoes that do not fit or wrong color when arrived. Thanks for all your help. This is the best shoe and just bought them for my niece. She loves hers. Hope they help me again in the future.

Great shoe - definitely different than the Ghost 7s. Shoe is narrower and due to my insoles, I had to loosen the laces a lot. I wish the Brooks Ghost came in other colors though. I guess runners like crazy colors but I like to keep it a little more subtle!

I wanted to like this shoe. It does have a lot of cushion, but it is very stiff. Not comfortable after wearing around the house for an hour.

The Ghosts are okay, but I'm missing my Glycerin's. I just didn't want to spend as much money, but I've missed the extra cushion. I run 10-20 miles per week for reference, currently ramping up to run my first half marathon.

I have had 3 pairs of Ghost 7 and 1 pair of Ghost 8 in a year, so I get a pair every 3 months. This is because in the Ghost 7, my big toes wore through the fabric. On the Ghost 8, there is reinforcement on the top of the shoe where my big toe used to go through (a big improvement), but now my little toe is wearing through and the fabric is separating from the sole there. I love everything about these shoes: the fit, the comfort, the support. But the quality of the material is lacking. I walk about 75-100 miles per month.

I really wanted to like the Brooks 8, but I feel they're much more narrow around my arch. Despite having ordered the D width, I had no room for my feet to expand. The toebox was fine, but too narrow through the arch.

I loved how they fit on my feet, except for one design flaw...the harder material that is around the laces. When I would walk, it would crease at the bottom of the laces and was very uncomfortable across the top of my foot. Otherwise I loved these sneakers. I had to return them.

There is an awkward crease or bend in the fabric right when I walk that occurs at the end of shoe lace strings in the toe area. It rubs on my toes. Otherwise, I like the shoes and hate to have to return them.

I like ordering Brooks because they offer a wide toe area. Unfortunately, the toe box in this pair is not has wide as my previous pair. Although they aren't as wide as I'd like, they didn't seem to irritate my bunion so I decided to keep them.

Love the design. Ordered same size as my last pair of Ghosts, but when I tried them on side by side, this new series is wider in toes and slip on heel. I loved these for fitting in an orthotic. Too bad they sold out! I liked this color pattern best.

I love the shoes, however, one of the shoe laces came very snagged and tearing. Very odd! I am trying to find matching replacement ones, but I feel for what I paid for them they should be free!! Frustrating.

I like the Brooks Ghost and have worn them for years, but this year's model was way too wide in the back than my previous pair. I ordered the narrow, but I feel like my foot is walking right out of the shoe with every step. My previous pair had a wider set of holes for lacing way up by the ankle which helped anchor the shoes on my narrow feet. Other than that the shoes were great, I am sad to have to return them. I tried the regular width with an insert as sometimes that will work(that's what I had to do with my last pair as no narrows were available in my size), however my foot just slid all around the toe area in this years model. I will have to wait till next year's Ghost comes out and keep my fingers crossed that they have a wider set of holes at the top of the shoes :-( Zappos as always has awesome delivery & returns though!

While many of the colors of this shoe are really ugly (especially Metallic Charcoal/Violet/Pink), these shoes are extremely comfortable. I'm recovering from a stress fracture, and they're still comfy. They don't slip off my heel. They're the perfect width in the toe box, and they are just the right amount of arch support for someone with normal arches. They might be the best running shoes I've ever owned! I just wish Brooks would work on the style. I don't want to look like a grandma, but I'm also not a skater dude. :-)

My left toe box area irritated my toe. wonder if this was error to the individual sneaker. otherwise felt great. I have 11 1/2 shoe size so I love that Zappos has selection. I love my Ghost 7s and may try again in future to order sneakers.

This is my second pair and I am buying a third. They are true to size for me and easily accommodate my orthotics. These shoes give great support and cushion no matter what the surface. My only complaint is the cloth on the front toe frayed within just a month and looked a little ragged. I wear them hard but it was very disappointing. I will try to be more careful where I walk with them but it would be great if they could put a stronger fabric on front toes.

I love Brooks Ghosts. I read all the reviews before I bought these. They do not run small. If you wear an 8 then buy an 8. I had stop wearing Ghost for some time. Ghost had changed back with 6 and 7. Now they are almost back like Ghost 5. I am on my feet 8 to 12 hours a day. I walk eight miles a day. I need a good pair of shoes. With these, my heel slips up and down when walking. Other than that, they are awesome. I just wish Brooks would stop playing with the shoes. You have a style that works, leave it alone. I tried wearing anklets with these. Just to remove them. The heel moves so much to where the sock is pulled down into the shoe. I hope this helps. They are true to size. Very good support. I love these shoes. Just the flipping heels.

I got these Ghost 8s to replace my worn out Defyance 8s. I found the fit to be the same and like a previous reviewer had to unlace the first hole so the shoe did not press on my high arch. Now that I have worn them for a few weeks they are much more comfortable. Also I regularly wear a size 7 but have to get an 8 for Brooks.

I wear a 9W in regular shoes so I ordered a 9½W and only had a choice of one color - the metallic charcoal - not a terrible color but not great. This is my second pair of Brooks Ghost and my third pair of Brooks. While they are very comfortable, and perfect for the gym, which is only place I wear them, I am disappointed that the pair I got at the end of September already has holes in the top layer on one of the shoes in December.

I have worn these shoes before, so after trying several other styles/brands, trying to find something more comfortable, I ordered these because I was running out of choices. I have a very high arch, wear custom orthotics, have bunions, and very little natural foot padding. These shoes will have to work for now. I would love to find something better, but I realize that that may not be possible.

I decided to keep shoes because of excellent support and stability, but I was uncomfortable for several days wearing them because of my high instep. I will have to wear very thin socks.

I have had 4 pairs in a year of ghost 7 2e wide a fabulous shoe. Today I tried ghost 8 wide and they are too narrow now! So they have changed in that aspect. So I bought 7 wides number 5 again so it seems that 8 are going too pass me by. Shame...because when I cannot find any more 7s, I will have to change again search for new shoes.

My podiatrist suggested this shoe and I'm thankful. I ordered the size 9 and it was too big, so I went to my normal size 8.5 and it was perfect with my orthotic insert. It's a nice looking comfortable shoe.

I bought these shoes after wearing the Brooks Ghost 7 for the last few months. These feel great - just like the 7. Comfortable, good arch support. I ran my fastest mile and fastest 5k the 2nd time I wore these shoes. Recommend!

I've been wearing the Ghost style of Brooks for a number of years. They have support I need. I do wish they also came in an extra wide!
