Great shoe! I've been wearing Asics, but this show is supportive, lightweight, and has plenty of toe room. I'm usually a size 8 in athletic shoes (7 1/2 in regular shoes), and the 8 in this Brooks is perfect. Good looking color combo. I'm 62 and an active walker with high arch and instep.

I ordered Brooks Ghost and Asics 2000 GT together, after an obsessive search and reading of reviews. I am a standard 8.5, medium width, without foot issues. I ordered them both in size 9. Priced the same, but no comparison! I expected to love them both and was surprised to find there was no contest. Brooks, hands down, are more comfortable and cushioned. So much so, that I had to write a review for others trying to decide between the 2 expensive running shoes. You won't be disappointed with Brooks Ghost!

Great news! the Ghost 8 is as good a fit as the Ghost 6. Something happened, at least from the perspective of my feet, with the Ghost 7 last, and I could not wear them. When I saw that the Ghost 8 had arrived I decided to take a try. Wonderful! they have the same fit as the Ghost 6...well almost. The tongue comes up a bit higher on the front of the foot/ankle joint, but because of how the laces are arranged that is not really a problem...I just don't lace to the top. I have a long, somewhat narrow foot with just a hint of an arch and this shoe offers good support and stability for long runs, hikes, whatever...Also, the shoe is very good looking. (I am giving the comfort 4 stars because of the length of the tongue.) Oh, I do wear 1/2 size larger in this shoe than in my dress shoes.

This is the third pair of new Brooks that I have tried in the past two months. My go to brand for over 10 years, but no more! Smaller toe box and cheap plastic decorative bands across the top side of shoes results in pain in the toes. Is it just me?

These are the best shoes for me by far. They are better than a more expensive pair of Brooks that I have. Wide foot from going barefoot as a kid high arch. Nice cushy feel when I walk. One thing I need in my life is a decent pair of shoes. I have also had back surgery so I need to feel confident in my stride. I love these shoes, will order another pair in case they change the perfect fit for me.

The Brooks Ghost is a daily neutral trainer that takes a pounding instead of your feet. My best buy of the New Year.

I am a runner and these are the perfect shoes for people that suffer from shin splints as long as you wear them with your leg sleeve to help reduce shin splints. The color was not as bad as I thought. The shoes are very comfortable.

Got these to replace my older Brooks Ravenna 5s which were starting to give me blisters. First impression - these are a MUCH more padded shoe than the Ravennas. Feels like running on clouds, which I enjoy. I have high arches and inward pronation and finished my first five miles with no foot or calf pain, hooray! Also can we talk about how beautiful these shoes are? They look like raspberry popsicles. Definitely a score, I'm buying a second pair.

These shoes are well made and I really wanted to like them. I like the colors and I've been happy with Brooks Ghost in the past. But this pair has a bit of negative heel feeling and I've ended up with a back ache wearing them.

Love, Love these. Comfortable right out of the box. I have tried other brands, but always come back to Brooks. Great for my feet, my legs, my back and my spirit!

Love these shoes! They are the perfect running shoes - great support, padded and helped with my shin splints immediately! I don't think these are the most attractive shoes but I don't really care since they are so great otherwise.

I have wide feet and an old injury that means I need a shoe that doesn't put any pressure on my big toe. These are completely comfortable and have good support.

I am so happy with my new Ghost 8s. They have a nice wide toe box so I do not need to order the wide width. Previously I purchased and ran in a half size larger than my usual size. After a few runs the footbed compressed and my foot began to slide forward. I am so much happier with this pair, my usual size 5. These are great shoes. They are not as cushioned as the Asics Gel Nimbus but more consistent sizing.

I usually wear the Brooks Glycerin, but the style and fit changed so I was looking for another style in the same brand that I might like. I ordered these in an 8.5, my usual size, but they seemed too short (and holding them up to my Glycerin's, I was right). I reordered in a 9, but the problems were the same in both sizes - too narrow in the toe box, a strange sewn-in area beneath the laces that cut across my foot at the toes and hurt no matter how loose I laced them, and the decorative looking strips that run across the toes on top of the mesh are not flexible and cause the shoe to bend harshly and uncomfortably.

I discovered Brooks Ghost several years ago. I suffer from Morton's Neuroma due to overlapping toes so I need a wide toe box. I also have a right broken ankle so I need good support. The Ghost 7 were a huge let down as the back heel broke down the first week I had them. So, I finally ordered a new pair, happy to see the Ghost 8. They arrived today and I wore them for a few hours and my toes were in agony. I compared them to the previous Ghost shoes and the toe box was about ½" narrower. And yes, I double checked that I had the wide shoe as well. The width through the arch and the heel felt right on, it was only the toe box that was narrow. What a disappointment because the support felt so good that I thought I might not even need my orthotics in them. I will be returning these.

I have worn the Brooks Ghost since the Ghost 6. The 6 were the best running shoes that I have ever worn. Absolute perfection! Then came the 7 which was just OK. Narrower, and not as cushiony as the 6. I recently bought the 8, hoping that Brooks had corrected the problems with the previous 7 but sadly, the 8 was even worse than the 7. Noticeably smaller toe box and narrower overall. The biggest problem with this model is that they continued the stiff plastic trim that goes around the laces all the way across the front of the laces. In each of the previous models, that trim piece at the front of the laces was soft and flexible. Now it's stiff plastic and cuts into the top of my toes with every step, especially with the narrower width. Brooks, what were you thinking? I am so disappointed! I had to return them and am looking at other brands, since it appears that all of the Brooks shoes now have that stiff plastic piece cutting into the tops of the feet.

One of my favorite patterns. Got so many compliments. Great running shoes.

These are my favorite running shoes. I continue to buy the next version each year. This is also a good color scheme. I have a wider toe box and decent arches. I'm also a neutral runner. These are like running on clouds!

Love these shoes for my wide feet! You dont need to order wide with the newer ghost styles, but I still did with these.

I am a marathon runner and this is the only shoe that I have ever worn! The Brooks Ghost keep getting better with each version. They are for runners whose need a neutral shoe. They have a wide toe box and good arch support. They do run small. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in running shoes but wear a 9 in Brooks.

Great shoe with super arch support. I have flat arches and really need the support that these shoes offer. No problems with sore feet after wearing these for a long run.

Great running shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and shin splints. These shoes provide support and minimize the effects of both. I would say that I normally wear a regular width and I think these were a little too narrow in the arch. Lots of room in the toes just seemed narrow at the arch.

I love these shoes! I only buy Brooks Ghost...I just keep buying the newer model.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I have foot issues and I can actually wear these all day. I did have to send the first pair back and get a half size larger.

This is the 2nd pair of the exact same shoe I've purchased from Zappos. I have very flat feet and my orthodics fit well when the insole is removed. I've tried other styles of Brooks and the Ghost series has fit better than the others. It has good ankle support, and fits true to size. The only con is the sole of the shoe traps small pebbles and they get carried into the house. I've learned to scrap my sole along the edge of concrete to release the pebbles before entering the house. Problem solved.
