Ball of foot area needs more padding. Toe box narrow. Like old Addiction style best!

Color is awful. This is my fourth pair of Brooks Glycerin shoes. For comfort, they can't be beat. And, size wise, I always order 1/2 size larger than my regular shoes. My complaint is about the awful color choices. These shoes are just plain ugly. They have much more "black" than what is truly reflected in the picture. I really hate them and am now stuck with them because I have worn them. Unless you want a shoe that is primarily black, don't get these.

I tried these one more time, and this time I got a wide. I thought I had struck gold as they finally felt right in the toe box, but wearing them around the house a good long while to test them out and it turns out the right one pressed on the ball of my foot somehow and felt awful. Bummer.

I forgot to add in my previous review that I think the toe box is much narrower than Glycerins usually are. That was the whole reason I loved the Glycerin - there is lots of room in the toe box. The whole shoe felt too narrow really, but the toe box was where I felt it the most.

I think the shoes fit well and provide good support. I wish that there was a pair of good looking shoes in black. I thought these might do the job, but they have the appearance of being men's shoes to me. I am keeping them because I could not find anything else.

Great solid support for my plantar fasciitis. My podiatrist told me I could wear these shoes without my inserts because they have such great support. Re sizing, half size larger felt too big, true size feels slightly snug, I stuck with my true size and thin socks. My only complaint: some of the reflective striping has started to peel off after only 1 long run. Boo! Not what you pay this much for!

I've been wearing this running shoe for several years, all fitting the same. Until this one. It looks different, feels different, tighter in the toe box, and not anywhere near the 12 version. The tongue of the shoe is shorter, which alters the way it fits over a high arch, has shorter laces, or the proportions are changed, something. Skimped fabric overall on way fits across top of foot. Also not as neutral feel when running, slight correction, rolling my foot to inside. Even wondered if it's mismarked.

Not the same shoe. My wife is still wearing them but she's going to change too. I use to love the support but the shoe feels like it's breaking down in days.
I have several versions (yearly) of this shoe and it's newer modles were always purchased by us. We are looking for a new shoes.

Total bummer of a shoe! I have loved the glycerine for many years, had two pairs of the 12's this year alone. The Glycerine 13 hurts my feet! So much has changed about the fit, my calves are sore all the time. The first night I wore them I got two blocks, had to take them off and re-tie them. i'm sad to say they just never got better, for me.

Had I not received a gift card from Zappos.com I would have never used this website. They take too long to deliver (if you choose the no shipping fee option). I ordered these running shoes a week ago and got an email to right a review on shoes I still haven't received. Also, Zappos products are over priced. I can find most of the items on this website (with the accepting of new arrivals) for less at department stores in town or on other websites.

I bought these shoes as a backup/after run shoe so I wasn't wearing the same shoes all the time. They seemed to have good reviews so I committed. I've only tried running in them once and my feet were sore after just a short run. I've had them only a few months and the tread on the bottom has started to come apart. I've given Brooks shoes a few chances and so far haven't found one that lasted as long as my other shoes. I won't likely try Brooks again. = (

These arrived today right before I was leaving for my run. Sadly, I had to cut my run short because my feet hurt SO bad! I knew right away they felt different than the 12's, a much 'harder' feel but I thought I would give them a try. Terribly uncomfortable felt like I was running on a 2x4. Very disappointed I loved my 12's so much. Lots of good reviews so they must work for other people, I can't imagine if you like the 13 you liked the 12 completely different feel.

I just can't seem to like these. This is the second time I've tried the 13's (style generation, not size, different colors, and I still don't like them. My left foot end up pronating inwards so that there's a lot of pressure on my big toe, and my right foot pronates outward on the edge of my foot. I compared the sole to my 11's and the heel is a lot narrower in these. I've had several generations of the Glycerin, but this one is a miss. I'm really sorry too because my 11's are terribly worn out (not the soles, the fabric) and I'm desperate for new ones; the 14's don't come out until June 2016.

I have a mild bunion and in the past the Glycerin 9 was a charm...I was hoping for the same in this Glycerin 13 but I am having to send them back. These were offered in a wide and even with the wide there seemed to be an overall pain caused by the shoe. Walking around on the carpet for about 2 hours, my ankles started to ache, then my calves later in the evening ached and my knees ached. I think the shoe overall squeezed my foot even though it was the right fit and not overly tight. It was just a strange fit on my 11W foot, no specific pain points just an overall ache. Hoping a Saucony will be the answer.

This new fabric does not breathe!! As a marathon runner, I have been a loyal Brooks customer for years. I have worn generations 8 through 13 of the Glycerins and probably go through about 6-8 pairs per year. The 11's were my all time favorite running shoe, I could run 10-15 miles in a new pair with no break in and no issues whatsoever. Generations 12 and 13 are going the wrong direction. Both run on the narrow side and gave me blisters. I've never required a wide width shoe in my life. I really liked the look of the 13's and bought them in 2 colors. On my first wear I had to cut my run short because at just 6 miles my feet were on FIRE and it was unbearable! The fabric does not breathe at all so my feet and socks were soaking wet and pruny and I got horrible blisters. I couldn't believe it. A lot of the positive reviews are from people who use them for walking or Zumba class, so if that is your intent then maybe these will work for you. If you are a runner and like me cannot afford to be derailed with blisters and pain, then look for another shoe.

Run away from these shoes! I wore them for one day and my feet and knees were killing me. The arch support is not good. Go to the Glycerin 12 they are much better!
