These were my 5th try for running shoes (thanks, Zappos!). The padding and support are very good . I have foot/hip/knee problems if I don't have good running shoes, and these are the best I've found. I was a bit concerned about the slight snugness of the toe box, but they are fine for my 3 daily miles. Really I have found only 2 concerns: wet grass = wet socks, and my whole family agrees - they are ugly!

I used to love the Ghost 6. I tried the 8, but the tongue attachment made the toe box very tight and my toes would go numb. This was a decent replacement, though not perfect. I have a narrow foot but like lots of space for toes, so I went with the medium width. Everything was great but the collar/heel area is too high for my ankle bones, which get rubbed a bit. The collar is very cushy and has some great slippery material, and I had tried essentially every other Brooks shoe available for a neutral foot without success. So I don't do up the last two pairs of holes to keep the collar away from my ankle bones. The heel slips a bit but I can put up with this. I tried the narrow width which solves the heel problem, but it's not wide enough for my toes. So, lesser of two issues. I have worn them on a few <5K runs so far, and no issues. Happy enough with these!

I have worn Brooks shoes for 6 years. Due to joint issues they worked for me in D width. I ordered these in D width same size 9 as previous. Definitely not as much room in the toe bed, but great support. I kept them, but ordered another Brooks style in E width. They are very roomy. I plan on foot surgery this winter so it will be interesting to see how these shoes fit later. I do use custom orthotics in all my athletic shoes.

I have wide feet and Brooks are my go to sneaker. The foot bed is wide and will accommodate an orthotic. The only negative is that the back of the shoe comes up pretty high which can cause blistering if you are wearing a low cut sock.

I have been running in Brooks Glycerin since the Glycerin 11. I like the improved cushion of the 13 but I find that they do not breathe as well as the 11 and 12. My feet get hot by mile six in cool weather. I am really worried about warmer weather running. I delayed buying the 13 because the color combination that they offered in wide was definitely not my favorite! I was really trying to wait for the 14. C'mon Brooks, can you really only offer one color combination each release in wide???!!! I did not notice this version feeling shorter like the other reviews noted.

Brooks shoes seem to be running much shorter than in the past. Returning three other models of Brooks shoes because of this. I hope I don't regret keeping this pair which was still shorter than in the past but not as bad as the other pairs.

Seems narrower than Brooks Glycerin 11 and also less padded. Sadly, I have to return it. Thank goodness for Zappos great treatment of customers.

I was looking for shoes for pavement walking (10-15 miles/week). Due to spine, knee, and foot problems, I need comfort and support to keep moving. These shoes were ultra-cushioned; unfortunately, the sizing wasn't right for me. Tried 1/2 size up from street shoes, but they were too long with arches too far forward. Then tried street shoe size. The arches molded to my feet perfectly but my toes just touched the tips of the shoes. The shoes were true to width and the toe box was roomy, just not long enough. Great-looking shoes, too. Sadly, I had to return both pairs. Zappos service was superb, as always!

I love these shoes. I have a wide and difficult to fit foot. It is especially hard to find running shoes. These fit like a dream and come in full colors.

Tried both the Glycerin 13 and Ghost 8, and liked the cushioning and support in the Ghost more.

I am very overweight, and I have giant feet, and I have a multitude of foot problems. I used to swear by New Balance, now all of their stuff feels shirt and stubby to me. I liked the Glycerin 12's better than these, but I guess to sell more they always change styles. The good about these: the 12 wide fit my gigantic feet, and if I wear a good insole, my foot problems are bearable. Also, they usually only make 1 color in 12D women's and at least these are black, which is important since these are everyday shoes. The not-so-good is that they are not well made and already fraying a the seams. They are really expensive. And they are slightly off in fit--a bit too wide even for wide but too skinny for me to wear a regular. I hope this helps another person.

First let me describe my feet: the one thing left on my body that's still skinny, with very little fat to cushion the bones. I bought these because they were represented on the Brooks website as being for someone who wants a lot of cushioning. There is plenty of padding all around the foot, but I find the insole to be quite hard. I had to insert gel insoles to be able to walk. After reading other reviews that they run short, I ordered a half size bigger than normal. My big toe was touching the front, so I returned them and ordered another half size up and they fit fine. Width wise, they were perfect. I like that the tongue is attached because it can't slide over to the side like it does with my other shoes. I got the black/pink/neon yellow. The accent colors bright, but are subtle. Zappos was outstanding in shipping quickly both times and in notifying me that they received my return package. Thank you, Zappos!

When I first put these on, they instantly hugged my feet and I felt like I was walking on clouds. After a few 12+ hour shifts, my left heel hurts for about 20 minutes when I first take them off. Not enough to deter me from wearing them though because while they are on they're very comfortable. I've got a lot of compliments on them.

Fit was true to size. I wear a size 8 in dress and running shoes, and these fit well. Love the roominess in the toe bed (similar to early versions of Asics Gel Kayano). Heel does not slip. Cushioned soles are the best I've tried. (I run an average of 6 miles/day.) CON: the insoles began to slip and move around during my runs after only 3 weeks of use. I eventually removed them and bought my own insoles for the footbed.

I typically run in the Ghost's and bought the Glycerin's for marathon training. The additional cushion was great and were comfortable right out of the box. However, the toe box is not as roomy, and therefore damaged some toenails. I'm going to go back to the Ghost's and try Asics Gel Nimbus for the long runs. Zappos has excellent customer service and they are my "go to" for all things shoe-related!

I am on my second pair of these. Both lasting only 1 month (thankfully the store has returned them both times). The glue is coming off around the entire shoe on both shoes. I find this odd as I have had almost 10 pairs of glycerin's in the past. Hopefully my new pair will work out as I love brooks glycerin's!

Love the shoes but a month in I started to noticed that the blue around the ankle part started shredding. Looks like little holes are started. The shoes still fit fine, just not ideal after less that a month of wear.

The Glycerin 12 are much better, but I can't find them in wides anymore. These male my bad foot ache, and you have to order a full size larger than your normal size. I wear a 9 in the Glycerin 12 but had to order a 9.5 in the 13, and the arch support hits funny. I have a normal foot and a foot which was clubbed at birth now corrected, which is now flat, I do wear an orthotic, I am a runner and walker and travel by foot over 100 miles a week.

Used to buy glycerins as a matter of course. In the last few years I have to see if the newest version still works for me or not due to their yearly changes. I wear orthotics and usually put them in over the insole of the shoe. Have used Brooks Glycerin size 11's for years. Recently was talked into trying the Glycerin 12's in size 11 1/2 for more toe room. It feels like too much shoe but the 11's feel too small with the binding on the toe box. One of the reviews of the Glycerin 13s said that they seemed longer and with a larger toe box so I thought I would try them. Well to me, with and without my orthotics inside, they actually felt smaller the way the front of the shoe is designed. My toes rub against the binding and there is little room in front of the toes. The rest of the interior is typically cushioned and comfortable as Glycerin's usually are. I feel the Glycerin 12's actually had a bit more room in the fit. So, these are going back and I am continuing with the 11 1/2's until I find a better fit. These are great shoes if they fit your feet, just not working for mine right now.

I run half marathons and I wear a 6 in the Mizuno Wave Rider, which is a 3.5 UK or 36 Euro sizing. I ordered a 6 in these shoes, and they look about an inch longer. Interestingly, though they are also a US size 6, it is a 4 in UK or 36.5 in Euro sizing. So they really do run larger than Mizunos. I tried to order a 5.5 but it looks like they don't offer it as an option. I will try a 5, but I'm anticipating it will be too small. But they felt super light and comfortable... Bummed that it probably won't work out for me. These are much more flexible than the Mizuno Wave Riders.

I have worn Brooks Glycerin 8.5 for years and loved them. I had a few pairs of Glycerin 12's stock piled but now at point needing new shoes. Brooks has changed the sizing of the 13's where the 8.5 are too short and the 9 a little too long adding too much space in toe box. Unable to tighten shoelaces enough at the base to pull out the extra room. I also tried the 14's with same issue. So disappointed at Glycerin had been a great running shoe thus the 3 stars.

These shoes seem nice, but different from the Glycerin 12, which I loved! The Glycerin 13 seems to be move narrow, but not too narrow. The style also has not improved, and these colors aren't anything love either. I will be sending back.

I liked the color and make of the shoe except for the in side bottom in the arch area of the foot. I ordered a wide and it was very, very narrow in that area. I am returning it.

Got these shoes and was very pleased with how they felt when I put them on, but as I started walking in them I realized there's no support in the toe area, its cushiony on the heel but the toe feels like you're walking on concrete.

Very comfortable, great padding, felt like floating, great cushioning. I have issues with my Achilles and since there's no groove in the back of the shoe (where Achilles meets ankle) it was extremely uncomfortable and painful. I had ordered the Ghost 8 also and that was a better fit for me, the winner!
