The Asics GT-1ooo 4 supports the feet well. The sneaker looks great. I normally wear a 9 1/2 but purchased the 9 1/2 D. It provides some extra room but not much. The toe area is not wide enough for flat wide feet.

Way too small in width. I got a wide it is not a wide to me, very narrow, too bad.

I loved my GT 2000 2 and was hoping I could find a similar shoe. Unfortunately this shoe hurts my back. I also loved the Kayano gel 19 and haven't found a similar shoe.

These shoes are a little bit shorter and narrower than New Balance 9W's I usually get. Without socks seem almost okay, but prob will exchange for 1/2 size up. so can wear socks. Plus not as cushy and feel a little stiffer than my New Balance ones.

these have white confetti flecks detail on the inner side of the soles! All around where the word Duomax is. I did not notice in the pictures before buying. They are large and bright white (versus subtle when you zoom in on photos). They have a narrower cut than my other, similar Asics. I am returning them for a wide. I do believe that they are true to regular width shoes, in general.

As many others have said: Asics has definitely changed their sizing - shorter. I wore Asics runners for years but will be finding another brand. You will need at least a half size larger in this shoe and more likely a full size. I always wore a 12 B so now there is no size that will fit. Unfortunate; otherwise the shoe seems like it has a fairly stable/comfortable fit.

I love Asics but there was something off about the fit of this shoe. So I'll keep looking and find another. Thanks.

Love the colors in this shoe but it was too little. I always wear a 7W but this just didn't fit.

Overall look is nice. Shoe runs small, very small. I'm a size 11. I always order my athletic shoes in size 11.5 to give my feet plenty of room in the toe box. When I put these shoes on my feet had no room. My mom, who is a size 10 tried them on and they fit her perfect. Unfortunately, I will be sending these back.

I ordered my usual size and found that these ran short and narrow. I'm not sure if I want to try the next larger size or not.

Great insole with lots of cushioning in the toe area. Good cushioning in the sole. But the shoes run small and narrow. I got a half size larger in my usual wide width and it was tight - need a yet wider width which Asics does not make. Stiff heel/ankle back - digs into my heels and ankles, very uncomfortable there. Back they go...

Asics are my favorites, and I have had several pairs of the GT 2000s, but these GT 1000s were a little short even though they were my usual size. I had to return them.

I wear an 11N. I've had great success with the Asics fit in the past. However, the heel in the right shoe is too wide. Foolishly, I thought the fit would improve once I had worn them a while. Instead, it caused a blister. If you've got a narrow heel, try a different shoe. Now I've got a slightly worn pair of nice looking but uncomfortable shoes. :(

The seams were not finished on the inside and so it cut both my feet in the same place. Always loved ASICS so was surprised by this. The fact that it happened on BOTH feet was surprising. Zappos was great about the return even though I had worn them outside.

I'm not sure what to think, I can't seem to get the right size. I'm usually a 9.5 or a 9 wide. The reviews say to order a half size up so I got the 9.5, which was too scrunched up in the toe. I returned for a 10 since my toes were touching the length in a 9.5, but the 10 was way too long in the length. finally I thought a 9.5 wide would work, it's also too long and slips off my left foot. Finally if I try this shoe one more time, it will be in a size 9 wide. What's keeping me from getting another size is that I walked into a fast food restaurant today, the floors weren't wet but I was slipping around for some reason and I've never experienced that in any kind of sneaker before. I looked around to see how others' shoes were holding up, it might've been just me and another guy in running shoes that had the problem.

I wish I could say that these Asics were great - I have been wearing this brand for years now and always had a good fit. Now they seem to be getting smaller and narrower. I have always taken a size 8½M in this brand and had to go to a wide width which still is not as wide in the toe box as my old medium Asics. Cushioning is not up to par compared the older models as well. And - if you are listening, Asics - what is up with the slippery insole? It is irritating to the bottom of the foot and does not allow your foot to be supported inside the shoe!

Love Asics, but this shoe not for me. Was training for a 10k & bought 2 pairs Gel flux & these. These felt really wide & my foot moved side to side too much. Ended up just wearing for everyday. Gel Flux were great.

I love the way the shoes look. The colors are great and the fit (10W) seems true to size, maybe a tad narrower than expected. I was really hoping for the best with these shoes, but it did not work out as I hoped. I wore them around the house for a couple hours to try them out and ended up in a world of hurt. They caused pain in the balls of my feet, my heels and as a result, pain in my knees and hips as well. They didn't seem to have a lot of support like my last Asics did. I am bummed!

I have bought Asics for years and I was apprehensive reading recent comments on fit and quality. Sadly this is accurate. Big disappointment. I wear a street shoe size 8.5-9 wide. I have ordered a 9 wide with Asics for years. Owned several pairs and now replacing my current ones. I just got 2 pairs. And they are no longer the size they used to be. The 9 is barely long enough. My toe touches the end of shoe. I would now need a 9.5 and they are much narrower than a wide. Theye used to be a bigger toe box. It is no longer. The quality has gone down also. The mesh now looks cheap. And while the shoe is cheaper than it used to be so is the quality. I also bought the GT 2000 and same issue. So they are going back and no idea what to buy at this point.

I love Asics but found the soles to be extremely firm. I wore the a number of times thinking I needed to break them in. This did not help and caused my feet to hurt so much I couldn't run in them.

These shoes look great, but are not comfortable at all. My feet ached after the first time I wore them. I usually love Asics shoes, but these did not live up to my expectations.

Runs short - need a half size larger. Not much cushion between you and the pavement. Returning these.

I love the look and feel of these shoes. However, after about 20 minutes, the arch of the left shoe dug into my foot and caused a lot of discomfort. Back they go, but I really wish they were comfortable for me.

I purchased these in a wide width and my foot doesn't even fit in the shoe. I've never had an issue before. These shoes are going back.

I ordered these shoes and they were extremely comfortable. However, they had these spots on the side that looked like pant. I called Zappos and got to exchange them. I got the newer ones in and they still have spots! Customer service associate tried telling me that it did not sound like a defect. Now I have shoes that look used. I am never ordering from Zappos again.
