I've worn these shoes for eight years now on the advice of my podiatrist (with a custom orthotic.) My new pair required no break-in period - still the great shoe it always was.

I needed a pair of ultra supportive and comfortable black athletic shoes. Found them! I recommend these for overprontors and those who use custom orthotic insoles. Good ol' Zappos and good ol' Asics.

This is my 1st Asics purchase. My top reason for trying them was that they are available in my hard to find size - 12. I typically have to go with wide width due to the toe area being too small but then the rest of the shoe fits too loose. These fit perfect in regular width. They're lightweight and super comfy for everyday wear. I didn't purchase this pair for running. I will definitely purchase Asics in the future and as always Zappos is my go to for shoes. The best customer service and please continue carrying my size!

There's a saying, "If the shoe fits wear it." I'm an 11.5 narrow. These shoes are still too wide, but they are the best I've found. Good arch support (I still use orthotics), comfortable, nice style. I got them for cheaper thru Zappos than from the Asics website. (Can I say that?)

Love my new Asics. Cute, good support, nice arch. Have not needed to put my orthotics in these. Nice price too!

I have wide feet so Asics have been my go-to workout shoe for as long as I can remember. I wore out my last pair so I went looking on Zappos for some new ones. I really wanted a pair of workout shoes that were all black, not clunky, and lightweight. These are perfect. They fit well, don't make my small feet look huge and fit well in my suitcase for when I'm on the road for work. I purchased a 7W.

These shoes are awesome! I spent more money on these shoes than I have ever spent on sport shoes before but they are worth every penny. I did have to order a 1/2 size bigger than normal though so I could wear cushioned socks.

Pros. Support high arch! Support ankle instability and my mild arthritis. I can even wear my bulky ankle brace with this. Front, top and outsides solid black. Feels like they'll last at least a year or two of solid use. brand consistently produces this quality of shoe. My best pair of sneakers was from Asics for these reasons. Then I tried Nike's, Pumas, and professional suggestions. Asics is the only professional suggestion that should be given. Cons: Not all black. I never understand why companies stray from solid black. There's white on the back heel and inside. Sellers should show a picture of this. It feels like false advertising. I wanted and black shoes for work. Overall: Worth the comfort and support I feel kind of unprofessional with the white on the shoe. But nothing beats Asics when it comes to my problems. So I cross my fingers and hope people don't notice.

I love Asics! They are just the best fit for me and my feet. I walk over five miles a day and really rely on my Asics to keep me going comfortably and pain free. They were comfortable from the start. The Asics GT-1000 4 did the trick and the pink glow/indgo color combination is gorgeous! I am so thrilled that I treated myself.

They are so light. Comfortable I work on concrete all day and even the first wear they felt great. I also want to mention Zappos. I received my shoes the next day!

Great shoe-light weight and very comfortable! Can't say enough positives about the order from Zappos. Had to send the first size back and they sent the exchange size out the day I put the return back in to UPS...very impressive service!

Great shoe for working out! I have wide feet and they fit well and don't make my feet look like "Flintstone Feet"!

I purchased the 8N and they fit well, I usually wear a 7½ or 8 in tennis shoes. I love being able to get a narrow width.

Asics have always been my 'go to' shoes but these just weren't as comfortable. When you put a new pair on you should be able to say "AHHH" that didn't happen. They felt worn out.

I love asics. They are very comfortable and supportive. This is my 3rd pair. I don't run but I do cardio classes and lift weights and they are perfect for that. Highly recommend them!

This pair of shoes is awesome! The GT 1000 are good for low arched feet. I have a white pair also. I walk quite a bit each week, and the support for my arches is wonderful! I am very happy with this style. I love the all black look! Many friends have complimented me about this style. I have narrow feet, but with style a B width is good.

At 8 1/2, I need a shoe with some stability and I love the help you gave me in getting it. I added some black and white shoelaces to create a very cute shoe.

Fits true to size (I'm a size 8 with high arches) and very comfortable for me personally. I tried on a size 8 at the store but they only had a wide and they fit totally different (too small). As always, I am impressed by Zappos speedy delivery and customer service!

This is similar to a wonderful show Asics made that was perfect and I missed. They made a few improvements, like the heel which is more shock absorbent. You will love it's non-skid sole, it's cool breathable material, and it's light weight. An exceptional shoe, an exceptional fit, super comfort, and great price thanks to Zappos.com!

I am so happy with these sneakers. They provide great support for walking. Because of Zappos I was able to order them in a half size and wide - stores do not stock these odd sizes. I shall stick to Asics from now on.

These are good looking and well constructed athletic shoes, but they run a half size short. Also they have a high, stiff area on the inner sole that I guess that is meant for arch support, but on me it falls somewhere near my heel and is very uncomfortable. It was so hard and weirdly located that I thought I must have failed to remove a piece of packing material! On the other hand, as always, Zappos' service cannot be beat.

Love these. Usually buy Nike air Pegasus, but feel like quality of the sole material has deteriorated. These feel great so far.

These are true to size. They were lightweight and comfortable from the first day I wore them. They are a good bargain. They come in attractive colors and good quality. I always wear Asics because they fit my narrow feet well with my orthotics but these are really comfortable!

A very comfortable shoe. I wear a 9N street shoe. In an athletic shoe I size up to 9.5N. Two years ago I bought the Asics 1000 2 in 9.5N and it was a perfect fit. This model runs short. 9.5 was too short. 10N is perfect.
