I bought this backpack for my son for school. He loves it! He says it is the best backpack ever! It holds all of his binders and really likes all the pockets and compartments. It holds all the additional stuff he takes with him in between classes. THANKS North Face for amazing products. You really do your homework on making great products.

Initially, I bought a Borealis Backpack from North Face which I have used for 2 years. Entering my senior year, I thought it was time for a change. The Borealis is great, is small, its very "high school", but it lacked something that I needed more of- SPACE. THIS BOOKBAG IS PERFECT FOR THAT- not only that but the asphalt grey/tnf black pairing is fantastic. School hasn't started yet and already so many of my friends are complimenting me on my book bag and asking me so many questions regarding it! Before with my old book bag, I was able to store a few folders and binders and have to carry a few more- NOW ALL OF MY SCHOOL SUPPLIES FIT IN THIS WONDERFUL BOOKBAG! and YES, it can be used for school too! It's extremely convenient- especially the laptop holder!!! I could go on and on- I am thoroughly happy and pleased with my book bag and the quality that the North Face never fails to produce!

This is the only backpack I found that will easily fit two two inch Caseit binders plus a lap top and a lunch box with plenty of space for books. It's a Northface so I hope it holds up as well as the one I bought for my son two years ago... He would still be using it but it just was not big enough.

I use this pack for pleasure travel. I carries my electronics, my kit, and a spare pair of shoes with no problem. It fits under the seat in front of me on airlines and gives me ready access to my IPad and head phones. I have searched for many years for the carryon back sack that would do the job and this is it.

I like the size, it has a ton of sections, pockets, and is overall light weight, with great non-rip material

I love my new pack. I saw the design at another retailer but not in this color. I was able to go to the North Face site and they had the color I wanted.

The best backpack I have ever owned. I am a senior executive in a large business, and I frequently have to walk to meetings across a very large campus. I carry my things in this bag; laptop, notes, papers, etc. and it looks and carries great whether I am in a suit or in khaki's. Plus, it's great for the occasional overnight trip (I could carry enough clothes for 1 to 2 nights) or for hiking in the great outdoors. It's made of tough, durable materials and it doesn't feel heavy even when I have it packed full of heavy stuff.

I had a 20 year old North Face backpack that has seen such extreme situations as a D+ getting bumped up to a C-, the first time a girl rejected my request for a date and who can forget the time I tripped running to catch a train. Yet I digress. After 20 solid years Old Green Eyes, as I like to call her, started to rip at the top and I called The North Face customer support line to see if we could get her into see a backpack surgeon. I spoke to a very nice gal, her name escapes me right now, and she directed me to send my bag in for inspection. Hopefully the backpack surgeons could stitch her up and get her back on my back. I received the news that the backpack surgeons did all they could but it was the end of the road for my first love-ly backpack. I spoke to the warranty nurse and she informed me that they did all they could do. To help my mourning, the warranty nurse offered me her condolences and store credit, which brings me to the birth of my Router Backpack. It arrived immediately warmed my heart. I immediately put it to use by taking it for a stroll around the urban jungle of Los Angeles. I could tell it needed to see some real nature and took it to Lake Tahoe and let it's little legs run. We plan on doing more hikes in beauty nature settings. Thank you to the good people at The North Face for

I have owned numerous backpacks through the military and law enforcement. All served a purpose, but this piece does something that the rest did not. The bag has all the function and ruggedness of a tactical bag issued by the government, but also keeps a discrete appearance. In today's climate being able to have the ability to blend in is essential without having to sacrifice function.

I haven't used this bag yet but will be using it tomorrow as a carry on for my vacation...as well as on the vacation. My initial thoughts - very well made and thought out. Everything on the bag you can tell has evolved from feedback. The improved handles, the tablet pocket, and the linings. I was about to get last years model but decided to hold off and I am thankful I did due to these improvements. I would recommend this from what I have seen of the bag so far...here's to many journeys with it

This is my first owned backpack from NF. First time i used a technical pack from NF was when i borrowed a bag from a friend. I've never had a chance to do 'real hiking' until i got invited to climb the 3rd tallest mountain in the Philippines. I was pretty impressed with the quality of NF bags per se so i decided to buy a Router backpack for my quick get away and fun climbs. It's not too big, not too small. It's my all around bag! Definitely happy with the quality and design. I got the bag with Forest night green colors. I didn't expect it has 'stabilo' green materials in the inside as the website only showed the actual colors for selected Routers only.
I just hope that there will be Router backpacks for women so there will be more fun colors to choose from and has custom fit for women. And please do include the pictures of actual bags' interiors going forward. Nevertheless, i'm happy with what i got. Who knows, maybe i will buy another technical pack from NF if i become more active with long hikes in the future!

Perfect for traveling with a 17"laptop. Great for business or school. Many versatile interior and exterior pockets. A little cramped when laptop on board with a single text book. Overall great pack!

I used a NF Surge for 7 years. A great pack but not ergonomically good for my back. The Router is much better for my back - a very comfortable carry. I use it bike commuting and walking to work, to carry my MacBook and papers for work, in addition to a change of shoes for the office, etc. Typical NF high quality and good looks. My only complaints are the full zipper on the notebook pocket, which is a weak point, and the horizontal zip pocket on the front, which I wish was concealed. On a scale of 1-10, it's a clear 9. Well done, NF!

This is a great backpack. It has a ton of room inside, without looking huge and bulky from the outside. I bought this backpack as a new one for college. It is much better than my last backpack because it has enough compartments and pockets that I can organize my books, pens, pencils, calculator, laptop etc. with that being said, I believe this backpack may be too big for some people if you are just looking for a school backpack. I am a geology major so we take a ton of trips to different areas and out in the field. This backpack will work well for storing the things I need for a great field experience. I also plan on using this backpack for traveling and hiking trips In the future so I'm happy with how big it is. If you're just looking for a backpack to carry books and stuff to and from school I think one of the smaller north face backpacks would be a better choice for you.

Really stylish bag, but my books kept getting lost at the bottom sice it was so tall. I picked it up since I'll be commuting to university now. Really great on the back but I had a hard time getting stuff out. Laptop sleeve it's very well protected either. Other than that, it's an excellent bag
