4E is less wide than earlier 4E. My guess is that New Balance has many subcontractors, and each one has their own size for 4E.

i have been a new balance customer for over 25 years always loved the shoes i just bought the last pair on line and not at the warehouse what a disaster the worst quality i have ever seen when i think of quality

First let me say that I have had many pairs of new balance running shoes and absolutely loved them and I'm running a pair at present as well. So when I was looking for a plain black walking shoe of course I ordered online with new balance. However this walking shoe did not match my running shoe positive experiences. The shoes are stiff and heavy and actual work to walk in. I was actually very surprised that sibling like this would have passed their inspections and performance testing with people. I recommend new balance enthusiastically most of the time but this particular shoe should be avoided.

Bought 9.5, it was smaller. Ordered 10 size it was bigger

sent them back, I want 706 but I was told it isn't made anymore and there is no replacement.

I have worn New Balance walking shoes size 11.5D for many years. They have always fit perfectly with little or no break-in. This pair is much too small. I did not immediately return them because I wore them for a day or two thinking they only required break-in, but all they did was make my feet ache. I cannot wear them and I cannot return them because the return policy says they must be in "new" condition and I tried to wear these for a couple of days.

Bought to replace worn out walking shoes but that's are not any better. Unbelievable that these shoes are pure junk, staying away from any and all New Balance products!

If you thought the 813 would be a replacement for the 577 you FAILED. I loved my 577's, the 813 don't fit the same they are tight around the toes and the arch. The Velcro straps look like wings when you are wearing the shoes. they are uncomfortable to say the least.

The size is not proper. I ordered 9.5 it was small, then ordered 10 and it was big. I wear 9.5 for all my shoes and never had this isse with big brands. Their customer service is also the worst.

I have to return these shoes because of the safety issue. New balance should consider selling these shoes. It is too dangerous because these shoes were easily taken off. When I stepped down to cross the street, I fell down twice. The second time, the car almost hit me after falling down. I was disappointed with these dangerous shoes. Even I returned these shoes, I still didn't get any response from New balance, I am very disappointed with their customer care too.

Because of my foot issues I've only been able to wear the 928v3 Men's Walking Shoe. Apparently, it has been discontinued. Instead, I purchased the NB813 because, according to your website, it has very similar qualities. The 813 does not feel anything like the 928v3. It lacks the cushioning effect of the sole of the 928v3. I've wasted my money and would like a refund. I've resorted to returning to wearing old pairs of 928v3s.

Just for walking . But the show ripped apart after 2 weeks . So don't know if design or bad assembly

Do not like the lenght of the straps they are to long and the tongue wants to slide down Liked the 577 better

Returned them. The material was too stiff and hurt my husband's feet. He loved his old new balance sneakers and was very disappointed in these.

I bought the 813 on a suggestion of a friend. I am a big fan and long term buyer of the 990 series running shoes. Sorry, the 813, even though half the price of the 990, is uncomfortable as a walking shoe. It doesn't have the sophisticated comfort and support of the more expensive model I am used to. I won't be buying it again.

Great stability but no cushioning. Not great for being on your feet a long time or for long walks.

My husband needs these because he wears braces and these are the best fit. It would be wonderful if when he needed them we didn't have to wait 6 months to try to get them

I think the shoe is very nice but it did not fit me. The MW813 is too wide in the heel and is way out of the SL-2 last specification, which calls for a narrow heel, which this shoe is built upon. The 8.5, 2E was too big, and the 8, 2E was too small. Also found the white model seem to fit better that the black model. The black had sizing consistency problems with some too big, and others too small. Some black shoes had one shoe bigger than the other shoe. I ended up returning or giving away whatever I had. It was very disappointing to me because I had a pair of MW811 and MW812 shoes that fit fine.

I have being using NB 813 Rollbar for the last 20 years. I have noticed over the last 3 pairs,black or white how this product has become inferior to the original ones. The heels ware out faster than before. The soles blister up in 3 to 4 places on either shoe which causes the sound of air leaking out as you are walking. After approx 5 hours my left foot starts to tingle and fall asleep. This used to be a good American made product now they are made in Indonesia and you can feel and see the uppers are of inferior material. With in a month of wearing N B 813 one can see where the uppers will crack.

Had to return. Was very narrow for a 6E shoe. Very tight in the sole as well.
