Customer Reviews New Balance MW813 Hook and Loop

I previously had the NB 847 shoe and it was great until the sole came apart. These looked very similar with same review ratings and were $ 20.00 cheaper so I thought I'd try them. The first problem was the length was longer -- same shoe size 9 4E -- and I had to add heal pads to prevent excessive slipping on the heal.The width was good but length was long in both shoes. The second was the type of shoe strings used will NOT STAY TIED. When walking the dog at a local park I had to retie both 3 times within a 1/2 mile loop. Replace the shoe strings before trying to do any serious walking. With heal pads and new strings the 813 is actually a good shoe. With different string I would give the shoe a 4 Star rating.

Great walking shoes. The only suggestion I would make would be to try to lighten them. They are just a little too heavy.

I need size 14 but narrow width. 14 D is too wide. Is there a narrower width available? I added additional inner soles and the shoes work for me.

Casual shoe for daily activities. Prior to wearing this new pair, I was having a tendonitis issue in my right thigh. Since wearing and alternating to this pair, no pain!

I USE THESE FOR WALKING EACH DAY ABOUT 4 MILES. VERY COMFORTABLE AND EASY TO "TIE" WITH THE HOOK AND LOOP. ALSO SAFER!!! NEW BALANCE A GOOD COMPANY FOR ME OVER THE PAST TEN YEARS OR SO.

Shoes came just as expected. Fit well and feel great.

I use it for my everyday shoe. I enjoy the comfort of the Velcro model and find it much more comfortable than the lace model. I have been wearing them for the last 15 years. I have not been as pleased with the durability of the last couple of pairs, but will give them a couple of more tries. The soles do not seem to last as long. For the first time I had side of a shoe come apart and the internals between the sole and inside of the shoe fall apart and come out the side.

I have worn these shoes for 12 straight days and they are so comfortable. I will be purchasing more shoes.

I am on my feet all day at work. Moreover, it is on a concrete floor. My feet are not tired at the end of the day.

I wear a 16 D shoe but I could not get my foot into it even with a shoe horn.

The tongue on the last several shoes was too narrow and on the last purchase was it was not even. It flipped up on the end. Sorry, this seems like you are trying to save money at the buyers expense.

I always buy shoes for my son first, as I did this time, Now I bought myself a nice pair of shoes that all my friends admire, sounds like I'm as poor as a church mouse, but I'm not really, just like to do nice things with good products. .

I've used an earlier version of these shoes in white (#577) for general walking and gym exercises for more than five years. They have worked well - my only minor complaint was the top strap velcro section was too short for my wide feet so I had to add another scrap of velcro. I wanted a similar shoe in black for more general use, so I ordered #813 which looked on the web the same as my earlier shoe. Since my feet measured on the borderline between size 10 and 10-1/2 I ordered the larger size. I received the shoes several weeks ago - they fit well with my normal athletic socks, and the top strap has been made longer.

Seem to be good shoes. I trust new balance that they will last for awhile because I've only wore these a few times.

Use for casual wear and walking. Shoe has good feel and support.

These shoes were purchased for the difficult to fit feet of a woman suffering with peripheral neuropathy and spasms. Thank you New Balance for making a shoe my mom feels comfortable in!

No complaints except for the pattern on the sole of the shoe. It is a very tight pattern and lots of sand and dirt can get in it. It takes a brush and some time to clean the bottoms of the shoe. The former pattern was much better for wearing in dirt and sand. It cleaned up quickly.

These shoes are very well made. They are also the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

These shoes are comfortable, durable, and fit like a glove. This is my fourth pair but surely not my last.
