Customer Reviews New Balance MW813 Hook and Loop

I already had a pair of the same shoe and wanted to get another pair. I have swelling in my feet and the Velcro hook and loop gives you more adjustment because I couldn't get my feet into any of my slip on shoes anymore. The one thing about this type of shoe when I went to order another pair of them they were out of stock so I bought another name brand shoe that was hook and loop too. The problem I found with those shoes was the Velcro didn't run the full length of the straps and there wasn't enough of the mating material to hook the Velcro to so I sent them back. I had put a request in to be informed when they had the New Balance shoes back in stock but never received one but any time they sent me a email about a deal they had going I would check to see if they had the shoes back in stock. When I got this last email I checked to see if they had the shoes and they did so I ordered them. The deal they were running was spend $100 get $40 back. The shoes didn't quite meet the hundred dollars so I started to look for something else and when I found out they sold wallets too seeing I needed one I picked one out and it turned out to be a win, win for me with the $40 off I got both the shoes and wallet for even cheaper than I had paid for the first pair of the New Balance shoes I bought.

I ordered this shoe 3 times on Amazon! And 3 times the order was messed up! Prime try on for a week.The boxes were always ripped so I taped ‘‘em up. The tissue paper was full of holes and in worse shape! The order slip, box size label was correct but the shoe in the box was not what I ordered! 3times. My daughter says “Mom! Zappos is the best! “ She was right! Brand new shoes, new box, tissue paper, quick fast delivery! Never again Amazon for shoes!! Zappos Wowee!

This style works fantastic. Will buy more of these.

I bought these for my dad who is 92. He was looking for a comfortable shoe with a wide toe box that would be easy to slip on and off. This shoe is working out great for him. He says it is very easy for him to get on and off and feels great on his feet.

I buy only New Balance 8xx or 9xx series sneakers....in Black. I used to buy the lower numbered models, which are fine shoes but they lack the one thing that I need... "The Rollbar" which is essentially a wedge shaped piece of hard plastic sandwiched into the front heel of the sole. It is excellent in keeping your foot straight as well as keeping your ankle in the right position and stable. I have weak ankles and a spongy sole will tilt my foot in a way that causes me to slam my ankle on to the ground and cause painful injury. The rollbar has essentially eliminated this issue and has helped me keep my weight properly centered, thus eliminating injury, less back pain and better posture. The only bad thing I can say about New Balance shoes is the insert is of low quality, The good thing is that they are removable. I would suggest getting a good orthopedic insert and discarding the OEM ones. Avoid Dr. Scholls, They creak and squeak so loudly is like having a Circus Clown horn in your shoes. I started using inserts from a company called "Walk Hero" I purchased them from Amazon and even though they felt hard coming out of the package, they are nearly prefect of foot support and are completely quiet with good arch support and a nice deep heel cup. Turns the already near Perfect New Balance 813 into an even better shoe! good stuff. I hope someone gets value from my review!

NB hook and loop shoes are great if you have arthritis in your hand. They fit well and are a great walking shoe.

NB shoes fit and feel great, they are true to size and width. Very comfortable.
