Bought these shoes because I believed that they would work as waterproof shoes for golf. So farthey work great. The shoe soul is similar to the street golf shoes and indeed they work great on the golf course.
I have recommended them to friends.

I've had few pairs over the years, they continue to get better. My favorite shoes for outdoor activities.

I'm happy with these shoes. Fit is about as expected. There is more room in the toe box than some models which is something I needed. Arch support is minimal which I like. Fairly comfortable out of the box and getting better as they break-in. This is my second pair of North Face sneakers and the first pair is holding up well but I like the style of these better.

Great shoes! Hiked several days in a row in western Maine. They had never been worn before, had no problems.

In work on a boat and wanted a water proof shoe. BUT also need comfort and support. The day I got them it rained super hard and kept raining for 3 days I stayed dry and comfortable. On top of it got lots of complements.

I used these for a canoe trip to Ontario. My feet stayed dry. The soles were stiff and kept my ankles from turning. Arches are nice.

I compared these to a few Merrell models and ultimately decided on these. So far so good. These are classy enough that I wore them at a trade show which means I can get away with having only one pair of shoes on a business trip. The support is great for a long day on the feet. After the show I did a quick hike in the hills and they performed as expected. The gore membrane keeps the feet dry even in all day wear.
I'd also recommend:

Amazing fit and stability. I've owned over 2 dozen hiking boots and shoes over the past few years and these are amazing. Realizing that everyone's foot is different and different brands tend to fit better than others, the moment I put these on I knew I had to buy them. I have a pair of North Face Snowsquall Mid Boots as well and those are also incredibly comfortable and stabile and have always kept my feet warm.

Very good overall product overall. They are very sturdy (look very long-lasting) but at the same time are very comfortable. They are pretty protective (not like a boot, of course) but very light.

Slush water doesn't seep into shoe. Vibram sole really "hooks-up" on packed snow. One pair of Merino wool socks, the shoe fits perfectly.

Good shoe for the money especially with real Goretex- those clones don't usually work well in my experience. Looks good for trail shoe and fit was spot on. Sole is grippy. I don't get the poor insole though??? Fairly easy fix--just buy a quality insole. It hasn't felt overly hot to wear but weather to date has been moderate.

Used basically for walking, occasional hiking/dogwalking. Waterproof is good for winter. Hard to find a shoe that fits my wide foot. I like these for wearing all day. Usually for heavier hiking I will wear something that tightens up a bit more. A little more cushioning would be appreciated.

If you know your size in Nike then get a half size down with these shoes. They are more wide than Nikes too. I wore them during a snow storm and they seemed to have good grip and my feet stayed dry. I haven't worn them extensively yet hiking or doing yard work so I can't comment on that, but they are comfortable shoes and look good. They are a no brainer buy if you catch them on sale.

I get out about 4-5 days a week for casual off-road hikes; the shoes are perfect for that purpose. They seem adequately waterproof and are relatively comfortable. I'm not sure they have the support for longer, more rigorous hikes but I did not buy them for that purpose. They are exactly what I wanted and needed.

I like the shoes and they hold up well. However I have noticed that some of the stitching has come apart and I've only been wearing them for a month. Use to be better quality.
