I have the Storm low waterproof and enjoyed them so well I purchased the Hedgehog as a second low hiker. This shoe is very stylish and a great looking shoe, but I did not purchase it for style. It has several features that make it a serious hiker. First of all the sole is good and stiff and has excellent traction. Second the Gore-Tex liner is waterproof and it breaths very well so the shoe is not hot. Some waterproof shoes tend to be hot. The shoes are comfortable, but did not feel soft or comfortable until they had been worn a few times. If you want a softer shoe get one of the trail running shoes such as the Ultra 109 or others. This is my third pair of TNF low shoes and so far they have been very durable. If you are looking for a low waterproof hiker, give the Hedgehog GTX a look.

I'm a nurse and a martial artist with a very busy schedule. I only use what I know is going to work in my very fast paced life. Got to admit I love the style of these shoes, but what I appreciate even more is their sturdiness and comfort. I wear these shoes daily no matter what activities I'm engaged in, and my feet thank me for it!

This shoe not only looks great but is very functional for walking trails, hiking, and/or everyday use.

I spend many days hiking the AT through rocky NJ and this shoe has always served me very well. It's also comfortable enough to wear as an everyday shoe.

Excellent shoes! the only thing I dont like is the gray color they used for the mesh (I would like black instead). Very durable and comfortable

I Bought this shoes for my Dad, He really likes North Face but his favorite pair broke ( almost 3 years not bad North face not bad) , so i decide to buy him this pair in all black and gray they look really cool, thinking on getting one pair for myself

JUST LOVE IT

I bought these for my 11 year old son a few months ago. He wears them all day, every day. He even does his PE classes and running in them. I was so impressed with the Hedgehog durability and performance, I bought a pair myself. They are a bit stiff for my road running, but I would wear them for hiking and any other use. I love that they have Vibram soles.

I marked that the shoes feel wider, I did not buy a wide, but this shoe fit me like a wide size, which is great. I typically wear a wide, and have a very hard time finding any trail/hiking shoes in a wide. Its a great shoe, light, and breathes well, I did not feel like my feet were overheating in a shoe that doesn't breathe. So that is great given the waterproof nature of the shoes. I have a bad ankle that the shoe rubbed on a little on the outside, the ankle cutouts might be a little high for some. Moleskin cured that issue for me.

I bought these for everyday wear to replace an older pair that were still serviceable but looking ratty. The store had my size but not the color but we able to ship and North Face was very responsive when seasonal shipping delays slowed things down - I needed them in time for a planned trip. Very happy with both product and helpful, responsive service.

Are use the shoe for day hikes, casualwear, and to work and from time to time. This is an excellent shoe that is very durable and comfortable with a little break in. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested.

This is my second pair of North Face boots. I have a pair of winter boots that I absolutely love, and have been looking for a good set of light hikers. I tried Merrel, Oboz, Solomon, and several others, but never found anything that fit quite right or had the sturdiness I was looking for. I wanted something tough, comfortable enough to wear every day but able to tackle trails and rocks on the weekend. I live in Utah, 10 min away from some amazing hikes, and my Nike's just weren't good enough. They bent, they were meant for running, and had almost NO arch support. These North Face shoes felt amazing since I put them on. Can't believe it took me so long to find them, especially since I already had winter boots that I love.

I bought the high top version for two cycles (eg 3 years each) when I used to hike the Grouse Grind. Last cycle tried the CDF8 version and liked it better for day to day use. Walking to work in the rain, working out in the gym. Comfortable and wear like iron.

Great for hiking, wet weather, everyday use, durable

I bought theses for everyday wear. So far their great from the car to work and in the rain. I have worn them to the game where I have been standing all day. Very comfortable.

Use this everyday. They usually lastme up too three years of wear.

Daily use walking around up & down stairs they are water resistent light on my feet the only downside to them is if you drop something on your feet you will feel it 100%
