I love my northface bag so much. Everything from the design to the all the specs. I would recommend it to anyone just because its so versatile.

I like the new design, and I'll be using it for the 2015-2016 school year...but I like the old design better, which I used last year, the new one is a little bigger and less like a school bag and more like a travel bag...but I still enjoy it and think its comfortable and will work well for carrying my giant history book around :)

Great Backpack at a reasonable price. Does everything I need it to for college and is very comfortable.

Bought this bag to use for daily use and for travel and in my short time using it, have loved it. Plenty of space for everything and very comfortable to wear.

Things I like: 1. Super comfortable. The ergonomic design really stands out. I can hardly feel the pressure even I stuffed it. 2. Nice lined pockets. They are very laptop/pad/glass-screen friendly. They are gonna be the perfect home for your valuable stuffs. 3. Durable. It's a North Face, so~. 4. Looks cool. It has a wild but stylish feeling. Things I don't like so much: 1. It feels a little rigid. The whole backside feels like a plastic plate. You can't bend and put it into smaller space. But I think it's part of ergonomic design so it can relive the pressure on your back. 2. The main compartment could be thicker. Once I put two 800-pages hard-cover textbooks in it, it reaches its limit. If you need more space, it wouldn't be your perfect choice.

I purchased the backpack for my 6th grader. After we ordered it we saw several people carrying it while we were traveling. I was worried it would be too small for her for school. It arrived and I couldn't be more pleased. It's the pefect size, and is equipped with the just the right amount of compartments. She's only 10 years old and intially wanted either the Surge or Recon. I had to talk her out of the Surge because I thought it was too large for her. We settled on the Borealis and we both couldn't be happier.

Bought this for my daughter who is starting high school. She loved it. Very we ll made.

I would definitely recommend this backpack! As a college student I walk around all the time and it's the perfect size to hold everything. It literally is a life saver!

I received this pack and went for my first hike with it last night and I loved it. It was comfortable, roomy, and lightweight. I hardly noticed that it was there. I would recommend this pack for day hikes or carrying anything heavy. The colors are attractive and the pack it's self is very dependable. It carried snacks, water, jacket, and bug spray with plenty of room to spare.

It is very nice but it's a little expensive

A great backpack for school, work, and travel. It comfortably holds everything I need for both school and play including my computer, tablet, water bottle, textbooks, and supplies. The back support truly distributes the weight and makes the backpack feel lighter.

Daughter is thrilled with this back to school backpack and is planning to use it before school starts on her trip to Colorado! Plenty of room and she is already getting it organized.

Really gotta give it to NorthFace on this one!! The pack is perfect for traveling and commuting. I take it everywhere and anywhere!!! If your a bicyclist you will love it!

This backpack is great! The colors are bright and vibrant. It has a spot for everything I put in my pack back daily as a college student. The shoulder straps and back padding are comfortable. Overall the bag is great! Fits my laptop, books, and I love the fleece lined pockets for my phone and sunglasses!

I bought this backpack for my daughter who starts college in the fall. We were looking for a backpack with enough room to hold her books and laptop as well as having comfortable straps for those treks across campus. An added bonus is that it is stylish in the colors my daughter loves. We have owned other North Face backpacks in the past, and they have far outlasted other brands we have tried. School starts in a few weeks, so time will tell if this backpack holds up to the wear and tear of today's college students. I am sure it will in light of the other TNF backpacks we have owned.

This backpack arrived days before a hiking trip to Colorado so it was not previously worn in. The backpack was great for the hikes as it was comfortable and had the space to bring everything I needed. No breaking in needed.
