I have three pairs of the Saturday Trail pants in the same size as the ones I ordered. The newer pants fit tighter in the legs and shorter in the crotch than my originals. Consider sizing up if you've previously owned this style.

I want to live these pants andnin many ways I do. I love the fabric, the fact that they are well made, versatility of wearing to hike or work, and the side pocket. But I am returning my last 2 purchases because of where the waistline sits. Muffin top more than any of my other pants. One inch higher would solve this. And personally, I like outside back pockets, not hidden pockets. Makes the underwear line a bit more forgiving.

Pants fit and perform great but the stitching is coming undone.

The waist on these pants was lower than I expected, but was okay. The fabric was thinner, but also okay. I had ordered my size in Long.... but unfortunately the pants were mis-labeled, as the inseam was only 33" (should be 34.5"). I returned them, and reordered. Fingers crossed that the new pair are actually Long! (BTW, customer service was great!)

A few years ago I bought these in an 8 gray and tan and they fit great. Were my favorite go to pants...both the capri and full length. Bought them in green and tan in an 8 and they are way too tight in the legs and waist. Will be returning and sizing up. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the larger size will have a better fit!

I buy these Saturday Trail Pants all the time and they are always comfy and fit well. They have changed, not enough to send them back but enough to make them not as comfy. The waistband is now made out of a stiff, non-giving fabric. Making them tight and uncomfortable around the mid-section. I wish they would go back to the old soft and slightly forgiving waistband they used to have. I am 5’ tall and weigh 108 lbs and have always bought the 4S.

These are great pants, but they run very small. My daughter and I both had to go up 2 sizes.

I love the style and material but the waist was too tight for me. Usually a size 8 is roomy but these pants were just snug enough to give me an unattractive “muffin top”. I’m not very curvy, 5’7” long legs and short torso. I did return them. Thank you Zappos for your spectacular customer service!

It technically fits, but it is so tight that I wouldn't wear in public. It isn't uncomfortably tight, it just shows far too much in very awkward places because of the fit. I selected based on measurements in the size chart. Disappointed I have to pay for return shipping and wasn't able to exchange for free.

Daughter normally wears a 6, I ordered an 8 because Columbia runs smaller than other brands. They were too small, ordered a 10, still too small. Must be this particular pair.

Generally, in Columbia pants I am in between sizes 2 and 4. I am 5'3" and 110 lb. I ordered these pants in size 4, expecting them to be loose in the waist like the other Columbia pants I own. These arrived by mail and when I tried them on I couldn't even pull them closed enough to button. The other pants I purchased at the same time, the Aruba roll up pant in size 4, fit loose, just like I expected them to. Keep in mine when ordering these that you may need to order one or two sizes larger. I really like the style of these pants, but haven't decided if I want to try ordering them in a different size and be responsible for paying for return shipping, again, if they don't work out.

These pants seem well made and functional. Unfortunately, the legs have stretch, but not the waist. They fit, but I think would be uncomfortable wearing while hiking with no stretch. I returned them.

After reading other reviews, I sized up to a 12 from my normal size 10. When my pants arrived I was excited. The fabric seemed awesome with good stretch and durability. I pulled them on and they were great and then I could BARELY button them up! The waist was still easily a size 8 but everywhere else (butt and thighs) they fit me fine. They're going back and I'm debating ordering a 14 but I don't want them to be much bigger in other areas so I may just try to find something else.

I bought a pair a year ago and they fit perfectly. These are way too tight and shorter than the ones I already have, so I will be returning them.

These pants are comfortable. They seem to fit different than the knee pants in the overall fit and feel area. The front pockets I have to say are useless. Everything falls out of them and they are so shallow that not much fits. The side pocket is ok. A little small by my standards. I like to use pockets, but womens pants never make them useful. I dont understand why. Other than this the pants are great for summer work or pleasure

I purchased a size 12 and a size 14 and I couldn't button either pair. For reference, I wear a size 12 in all my jeans. I have a pair of Anytime Outdoor Boot Cut Pant in size 6 that I've worn for 5 years and they still fit. I thought these were the same pants because of the fabric content but they are not. There is NO stretch in the waistband and they are cut for a small booty. If you've got a bigger butt, carry weight in the middle or both, I don't think these will work. If your a build straight with slim hips and narrow waist, they should work. I love the material but this style just didn't work for me.

The run small, so order at least a size up. The waistband is really scratchy and uncomfortable. They are very thin, so choose your underwear carefully. Obvious pantie lines as my mom would say. Nothing would keep them from wrinkling. It looked like I slept in them. Overall, I did not like this pant.

I've got quite a bit of Columbia Omni Shade which I purchased from store and I love it for the sun protection it gives me. During the virus crisis decided to order online, and I must say I'm not at all happy with the fit and feel of these pants. They run small, and since I'd already pulled off the tags and washed, could not return. Although I doubt at the moment they are accepting returns. I'll wait till I can go into store. Seems like they changed the cut of these.

I love the fabric of these pants! They feel light and have awesome movement, and they fit really well around the waist. I ordered a size up from usual since many of the reviews said the pants run small. However, they unfortunately fit kind of weird around the crotch area, which is never a problem you want. Overall, the reviews of these pants are great, so maybe it was just me and my weird shape, but at least for me the material bunched up around my upper thighs and was not flattering. I returned them, but maybe they'll work for you.

So I bought this and then I wish I had read the review about running small rather than believe their size and fit. I usually wears a size 2. But this size 2 does NOT fit me at all!!!! I can barely squeeze in to button and gave me a horrible muffin top!! The problem is this pants is low rise. It sits below your belly button. I would definitely size up!!!! Otherwise the style is nice. It stretches and with nice pockets.

I wanted to like these pants, but they just didn’t fit right. I had to size up 2 sizes and the pants fit in waist, but rise was too short. Not comfortable. I’m 5’5 120 lbs. ordered size 6.

It would have been a great pant if the 3rd world manufacturer followed the pattern for fit (may be the pattern is wrong?). I normally wear a size 2 (everywhere but at Columbia I am a size 4) and, after several orders, I settled on a 6. Major issue with size, f.y.i. Other than the weirdness of the sizing, the pant is of good quality and function. Recommend only if you have the patience to experiment with sizes.

I have 2 pair of the pants from a year or so ago. LOVE THEM!! Ordered same ones....same size 16L. They have totally changed the waste cut. They are MUCH smaller in waist. So very disappointed. They are great pants....loved that they come in Long. Will continue to wear the other 16L's until they fall apart.... but will be returning these. Great pants....just be sure of your sizing (don't depend on ones you had in the past). Sad.

I have the Capri version of these pants in a 12 in two different colors and love them, but this long pants version was much smaller in size and length. I almost wonder if they were mis-sized. Also, I ordered a long inseam but these were too short once paired with shoes. Usually a 34” inseam is sufficient, so these must be shorter than that. Not sure how that would qualify them as long, though. (I also didn’t see anything on the pants that identified them as long, so maybe I was sent the wrong version?)
