I was stumped when it came to rain boots because my calves are athletic and a bit larger than standard rain boots would allow. These are PERFECT! The adjustable back does the trick. I'm glad I paid the extra money for these as they will last a long time (my aunt still has her Hunter boots from 20 years ago and loves them!). They are comfortable and the glossy finish makes them a little dressier than the standard matte finish. So glad I bought these!

Thank you Zappos! I wanted to get these boots for my daughter for Christmas. The cranberry color is new, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I called Zappos, and they said they did not have any in stock, but expected some be coming in. They emailed me the next day that the size and color I wanted were available! My daughter loves them! The color is beautiful and the adjustable strap is great. It makes the fit at the top narrower for a slimmer fit. She usually wears a 7.5 so I got her the 8. They are just a little big, but with socks they are fine. And the quality is wonderful!

I love these boots. I read so many reviews about these before I finally bought them. I tried on some no name boots like these and they weighed a ton. I was concerned, but I still wanted to give these a shot because they're so cute. Turns our they're not heavy at all. Second concern: the cost. I can honestly say I will get a lot of wear out of them so it's no longer a big deal to me and I don't have to keep cleaning them like with my Uggs. Third concern: Classic or Adjustable? I went to Nordstrom and tried on the classic. I have 14.5" calves and they were tight around them. I only had leggings on too, so I decided to go with the Adjustable. Definitely size down. My running shoes are 7.5. I have regular shoes ranging from 6s to 7s, but when I tried them on, the 7s were way to big, even with socks. I got the 6 and they fit perfectly. Again, I love these boots. They're cute, comfortable, and practical. I live in northeast Ohio. It's either snowing or raining, so these are perfect.

The item was received before the original promise date. This is not my first purchase with Zappos and I have to say, I am more than pleased with their customer service! The boots were perfect!

The navy gloss is gorgeous. I was given the matte original for Christmas. I liked the color, but was not sure if it was the one. I ordered the adjustable back only because it appears to be the only style in which the navy gloss finish is available. It was truly love at first sight when I opened the navy gloss box. I knew the mattes had to go back; they are nowhere near as compatible with a variety of outfits (dressed up or down the gloss fits the bill). It immediately elevates any outfit. Even if you are wearing sweats. My calfs are on the thinner side of normal, so I did not need the adjustable back. I have the boots on the tightest setting for adjustment.

I love these boots. They are comfortable and my go to when it's rainy or snowy. The combination of these with the Hunter boot socks is warm, dry and comfortable.

This was a gift. I am returning it because the young woman would rather have a boot for warmth and not rain. But the boot is lovely. She is a size 6 and the size 6 fit perfectly. Also, the adjustable back was great. It was fine for a person with a wide calf to tuck in jeans. I have never tried the non-adjustable boot. I would recommend this boot if you want style and good looks in wet weather.

I bought these boots for my mother for her birthday. She is a size 6.5 but I purchased the size 6 based on Zappos reviews. She said they fit perfectly. She walks her golden retriever every morning and appreciates these boots in wet and sometimes slushy weather when her dog loves to walk through muddy and wet puddles.

Fabulous boots! Just the right amount of gloss and a great fit. I have them on the tightest adjustment, but it's nice to know I can loosen w/ bulkier pants. They do run a little big.

Absolutely amazing! To start off, what's not to love about Hunter Boots? No way better to stay dry and stylish on a rainy day. I had previously purchased a pair of the tall gloss ones, unfortunately my calves are a bit too wide and they fitted to precise, so I sold those and got these. I loved the fact the are adjustable and fit my large calves perfectly and have extra room for them. Now I can wear them with jeans or leggings or thicker pants and just adjust the width. Gotta love them, couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I ordered these after sending back the Hunters original which was tight on my muscular calfs. (I am 5"'8", 145 pounds). The adjustable fits great and I would recommend them to anyone who wants the practicality of fitting your jeans in your boots if you do not wear leggings or tights every day. I also would recommend measuring your calfs when deciding which style of Hunter boots to order. I love these and am keeping them. Also I found the 8 to fit perfectly and I am typically an 8½ or 9 in footwear.

Awesome boots! Love the color the fit was perfect even with thick socks. I wear an 8 usually and bought an 8.5!

Great boot. I wear an 8.5 typically and the 8 is perfect. They do run small around the calves. I never have problems with the calves in regular dress boots, but these were way too tight so I went with the adjustable back. Recommendation, don't purchase too large, you will feel like a clod hopper walking around.

From Burberry to Bogs and everything in between I finally found a pair of rainboots that fit! I'm 5'9 and a size 10. Ignored everyone on the reviews and ordered size 10. They fit perfect. These boots look fantastic and fit way better than the $400 + boots. I'm sold! Thank you Zappos for being so awesome!

If you need a wider top of boot, this is the one for you. Other styles weren't wide enough for an athletic calf, but this is adjustable and perfect! And with all the rain last week, priceless!

LOVED these boots. I had my eye on them for a year. Tried a pair of the original (w/out Adjustable back) and it was not comfortable enough for me. The adjustable backs do work for me. Honestly, I do not bother adjusting the buckle though. Work great w/jeans. My girls ride horses so they keep my feet warm and dry at the barn. I am looking at getting a fleece insert for the winter. We don't get much snow but get a lot of slush so I am hoping these will also be my winter boots once I get the insert. I ordered my normal shoe size and it fits great. My only problem is driving w/them. Not so easy so I take them off in the car.

I want to echo what the last reviewer, Caroline, wrote. I actually had to go through 3 orders to get the right fit with Hunters (which made me really wish I had just gone to a store for efficiency's sake, but I love Zappos so much that I just kept trying new pairs and returning). I started out with the Original Back Adjustable in a size 9 (I'm normally 8.5) and was swimming in them, even with the socks. Then I tried the Hunter Original in a size 8 and the foot was great, but I could barely get them over my calves, which are muscular but I'm not a heavy person. Finally, I went back to the Back Adjustable in a size 8 and it's perfect but honestly, I could probably even size down from there, they are still fairly roomy in the foot. So basically, unless you have very slim calves, you want the adjustable back (plus they're cute) and you almost certainly want to go down a size. Also, in all of these boots, they come to the back of my knee (I'm 5'4") so bear that in mind!

I cannot wear the Originals. I liked these quite a lot. They are narrower feeling in the heel than Originals or Huntress, which is good for my narrow foot. Ultimately returned them because I didn't like the Hunter logo, and so I decided to seek out alternative waterproof footwear.

These boots were for my daughter that has muscular calves and the adjustable buckle did the trick! I am a size 10, and purchased her a 10. However, when I tried them on, I found them to be a little snug in the foot. If these had been for me, I would have needed the next size up. My daughter is a 9.5 and these fit perfectly for her. I guess I am trying to say that I found them to run a little small. Zappos was great! Quick delivery and always great to have free return shipping if you need it!

Yay! Finally! Thank you Hunter (and Zappos) for an adjustable boot! My calves are 16.5 (5'11) and I bought 2 pair of boots and returned both. These boots are perfect. I ordered the size 11 which is what I normally wear - and they are not too big and I feel that I can easily wear thicker socks with no issue. Thank you for finally offering a great looking boot that doesn't painfully squeeze your calves!

Love these! Can't wait to wear them!! I love that they have an adjustable strap in the back so depending on the thickness of socks or because I'm pregnant if my calfs swell I can wear these boots no matter what!! I originally ordered a 10 I am a normal size 11 and I saw reviews to order a size down but they were too small so of course I call Zappos and they ship me an 11 right away along with a return label for my 10s. Simply fabulous all around! Just bought some cute tall socks to wear with them as well. Can't wait to make them a staple in my fall fashion.

I was a little bit worried about buying rain boots that are so expensive but my last pair I rarely wore just to walk the dog and they developed a huge tear within a year so I thought maybe I'd spend a bit more money and get a better product. These are sort of a greenish/grayish color and not so glossy that they're frightening. I am normally a 6.5 wide and bought a 7M and these fit my feet just fine. The ankle is formed though so it's not an easy on/off situation (see below). Pros: -looks good, has good foot support (has a squishy foot bottom and isn't completely flat), fits me just under the knee at 5'4 and 14 inch calves, feels comfortable to walk in with the hunter socks cons: -really hard to get off if you're not wearing the tall socks with them...hopefully these "break in" a bit more but yeah that's the only con so far, the ankles are formed so if you're looking for something to just put on and off this is a little...more involved but they have great traction and probably won't fall off of you if you're doing farm work or actually walking in deep mud

They fit ok, run a bit large and don’t have the perfect fit around the ankle. They are the highest though and that’s why I bought these as I am hiking with the dogs in Florida and therefore needed the highes I can find without going for fishing boots/waders
