Have and love Mephisto Yael shoe in metallic leather..very comfortable. Same style Yael in black suede didn't fit the same nor have the same comfort level.

I loved the look of this shoe, but it did not provide the support in the arch that I needed. It also rubbed the side of my left heel. I am sure that this would not be a problem for everyone and recommend that you do try it, as it is a beautiful looking shoe!

I expected a better made shoe for this price. The leather seemed thin and the tongue had an almost cardboard feel. The cushioning was less than Merrell. And they squeaked. I can get better for less.

Quality and comfort I expect from Mephisto. Hopefully the suede will continue looking good. The sparkly shoe laces add fun to the shoe.might have preferred leather instead that I could polish.

These shoes are expensive. I have heard that the brand Mephisto is great for comfort. These shoes are comfortable, and allow me to be on my feet and walk long distances for several hours. The heal felt like it was cut low, I wasn't used to that, but with my no-show socks on it wasn't a concern.

Great shoe, but could have done without the weird sparkly houndstooth pattern. Sole is wonderful, did feel a little hard (not much cushioning). Returning because I needed the 6.5 which is out of stock. Not sure if I would keep if they had my size because of the sparkly pattern and the cost.

An attractive, well-made shoe, but Mephisto's sizing is erratic at best. Runs small. Order a half size larger. Had to return these b/c of that.

Nice looking shoe, however, the foot bed feels harder, less cushioned than other Mephisto lace-up models. Uncomfortable for my feet. I returned them.

fit is right, not enough arch support for me

I loved these shoes and hated to send them back, but they were just too narrow to wear comfortably. I wear other Mephistos, such loafers and sandals in this size and they fit fine.

Too large.

7.5 was too large for my foot. Khaki colorwas more green than tan. Am returning.

I have aging wide feet so I ordered up half a size and fit is spot on. This shoe is quite attractive and sporty. However, I need good arch support and this is where the shoe let me down. Love Mephisto brand and have been wearing them for years but, IMO, it seems their quality is suffering with the newer styles and materials.

I ordered a half size up and the length and width were spot on. Really nice looking shoe with a fair amount of support in the toe and heel. However I need more arch support and was surprised at how little is available in this shoe.

I have narrow heels and wider toes and these fit, but you can see that the toes should be wider for me. I also have high arches and these shoes don’t have an arch, but they are relatively comfortable for the office. I haven’t had to walk all day in them to see how they support, but not too bad for a day at the office. The footbed seems to be rather hard (not squishy) so if you’re looking for squishy comfort these are not for you.

Nice shoes, but when I walked in them with socks on the heel seemed to slip out a little. This would proove troublesome, so I returned them. I was surprised, as Mephistos usually fit me perfectly. I ordered instead a pair of flat all suede Mephistos with a slightly thinner sole, and they are perfect for walking, which is what I wanted.

These felt a bit stiff out of the box, but would probably soften up with wear. I returned them because they’re a bit too sparkly for my taste.

Loved the look of this shoe and it was comfortable, but had to return because it was too narrow. Unfortunately they don't offer a wide - i would have ordered that.

Shiny trim was too much for me. Otherwise a very nice looking shoe.

I really wanted to like these shoes, and the sole support was great. However, the upper was really rigid, and gave me blisters THROUGH SOCKS across the tops of my toes. I've never had that happen before! Love the brand, couldn't keep these shoes. :(

Ordered a half size larger based on other reviews but had to return as it was a half size too large. The style of the shoe looks too much like a bowling shoe.

I have two other pairs in this exact same style. They are both very comfortable. I don't know what they did, but in this color/material it's like a totally different shoe.

I have worn Yael for years. This shoe was a huge disappointment. The shoes were so narrow I couldn’t get my left foot into the shoe. I have tried this shoe after ordering direct from Mephisto. Both the shoes from Zappos and the pair from Mephisto had problems with the holes for the laces. The hole was not completely opened making it impossible to get the lace through. Really unfortunate changes to what was once a great walking shoe.

I have had several pairs of Mephisto Yael since 2014. The first two pairs were the best walking shoes ever. I wore them both out eventually. I have since ordered 3 more times, hoping to duplicate the comfort and support of those first pairs. The later ones are just not the same. In fact they aren't even all that comfortable. I will not be ordering from Mephisto again.

I tried both the 6.5 and the 7. It was like the three bears, it was either too big or too small, neither regrettably was just right.
