While I have a narrow heel, it's not that bad that I frequently have problems. But I could walk out of these without untying. Cute though. I was sad to return them.

Fit & size we’re ok. Not much of an arch support in my opinion. I am returning them because they squeak and are very noisy. Ugh!

An odd shoe. I have wide, small feet with a bunion. Tight in toe box and too long in overall length. Not worth the price.

The shoes are exactly the shoes I have been looking for and couldn’t find in any store.

My first time trying Mephisto because they are pricy. Absolutely love the look, fit, and comfort. So glad I tried them. For me they are a cut above my other “comfort” shoes.

These are a true medium width. I was hoping they would be wider, so have to return them. They are either a little stiff or they are higher around the ankle; probably just need to break them in.

As with all of my Mephisto Yaels these were perfect and exceedingly comfortable and for that reason I decided to buy them at full price and not wait for the sale. Cost me over a hundred dollars more but my bad - at least I have them!

I had ordered this shoe previously and felt it was too snug so I returned it. I ordered the Rebeca style which is VERY comfortable, but I kept remembering how the Yael had looked. I reordered it and this shoe felt much better. I have difficult feet and I wore the Yael out of the box on a trip in Canada. It is a winner! Looks great and is comfortable.

I love the appearance of this shoe, but it is too narrow. I tried 1/2 size larger and this did not solve the problem. So I will be returning.

Expensive shoes but all I expected from it. They are so comfortable and stylish. I wish they were a tad more narrow but that is a regular width so it was to be expected with my foot.

Lightweight and fits perfectly true to size! I wore these all over my hotel in Vegas and walked and worked out in them. The price was good and is wonderfully up to Mephisto’s standards.

Great fit and love the bright color! Hoping the soul stands up to my pounding walk!

I love these shoes! I ordered two pairs and really liked the looks of the other (more expensive) shoe but once I put these on - I knew this was the pair for me. I have problem feet - high arches, neuromas, etc.. These shoes fit like a glove - I love the feel of them. I got them for walking - they have less padding and cushioning that the New Balance shoes I used to wear but my body and feet don't seem to miss them... Very happy with these shoes and this transaction!

I have this shoe in a 91/2-so comfortable and attractive too. Unfortunately I now have to wear a prosthetic brace w/ a larger orthotic. I hoped the 10 1/2 would work but I will have to try a larger size.

Ordered a 40 (9.5 USA) and it was a little roomy for the toes. Width good. Arch moderate. All features which I liked. The reason for the return was that the shoe was too flexible. I have a condition call ledderhose disease and my shoes need to have a stiff sole, yet have some cushioning. These were too flexible in the mid sole area (shoe can twist and flex). I need to have sole stiffness so not to exacerbate the pain in my feet. This is a problem for those with plantar fasciitis also. The less my arch area flexes, the better for me. It is a beautiful shoe, and I wish it would have worked for me.

I have several pairs of Yael in different colors. This is my second pair of the black pearl calf-bucksoft oxfords. I'm still wearing the first pair, but they have been so comfortable and look so elegant for oxfords that I ordered a second pair to have when these wear out (if they do!) I have multiple foot issues and lower back pain, and these make walking almost fun again. They were comfortable right out of the box, and I initiated them on a city trip where I needed support as well as a stylish look. Even with a generous toe box, the shoe is shapely, not clunky. The bucksoft material was immediately forgiving yet hasn't lost shape or its fresh appearance after 3 years of wearing. Great shoe!

Fits fabulous, and a nice color, neutral. i have a pair of these shoes from 2 years ago and wanted a second pair, but did not like the glitzy things they were showing, then this one came out. It's soft, great support. Watch out for the size chart. I am a 9.5 and that usually is a 7 and this is too, but the chart says 6.5. It's wrong. I got them a day early too, sent out for delivery at 12 noon for some inexplicable reason....thank you again for everything! The search is over......

This is really one of the most comfortable and good looking shoes I've ever had. I took a half size smaller, even with my orthotics. The heel is a little roomy and one might like a heel pad inserted. They make my feet look smaller compared to the usual sneakers.

Vert comfortable & true to size fit.. good alternative, nicer looking then ordinary sneakers or running shoes with same comfort for walking all day.

Attractive very comfortable walking shoes.. more stylish than sneakers. Metallic leathers very nice.

This is a great walking shoe. Wore it in New York and D.C. Walked, walked, walked. It fits comfortably with a light sock. The arch support was great without putting inserts in. It also looks snazzy. I bought the taupe color and it goes with everything. Bought a bag to match. Looked great with all my black traveling clothes. Received compliments from strangers. Highly recommend.

I've taken two trips in two different pairs of Mephisto Yaels - they are supremely comfortable right out of the box. I walked 5-6 hours a day in them. The toe is slightly tapered so they don't look too much like bowling shoes. I can't say enough good things about this shoe!

I have had these for about three weeks now and have to say that I absolutely love them I've been wearing them every day to break them in for a trip to Europe and have to say that I really was not a break-in. I have been able to walk in there without difficulty. They are expensive yes but very well-made and will work perfectly for my trip.

I'm a narrow and I could lace these up to fit well! Cute laces, too! They do have a hiking look to them, but they're great for all-around winter shoes in Santa Cruz. I normally walk most days, so I need something supportive to wear every day. I'm not going to go around changing my shoes when I want to walk. And I wear them in the Sierra in the summer when I hike daily at 8600 feet. I got the graphite grey, which I don't see offered right now. They are very good-looking, not too obtrusive.
