Depending on brand, I am normally an 8.5 Medium width shoe buyer, so I ordered an 8.5 B in this style. The glowing reports of outstanding comfort, particularly when on ones feet all day, were too strong to resist - plus, it comes in Red! This shoe is huge, perhaps a size too large, and wide, particularly in the toe box. The Mary Jane strap would make a slightly too wide shoe stay on just fine, I'm sure, but this feels and looks like a clown shoe. Given the width, and the size of the toe box, I'm not sure a smaller size would work for me. If one had an issue with bunions, I'd still recommend trying this shoe, but start with at least a half size down from your usual size, and perhaps a B width.

Beautiful shoe but much too stiff and tight in the forefoot. I ordered my size, even though it is supposed to run large. I have a fused big toe joint and this shoe presses directly on top of the joint, even without using my orthotics. I'm disappointed because my old Keen maryjanes have been my stalwart sore-feet shoes for 4 years. Unfortunately, these shoes are not an adequate replacement.

I've had two pairs of Keen mary jane's very similar to these, and both fit well and were extremely comfortable straight out of the box. However, these were awful. They rubbed the top of my foot on both feet and though the bottom of the shoe felt comfortable while I was wearing it, my arch hurt afterwards (though that may be because I have fairly flat feet.)

I have never ever had a size 11 shoe be too big, but this one was. I ordered a 10½ and my heel still slipped out. The shoes were massive. Keen is so undependable in their sizing, their shoes vary greatly. I have some Keens that I like a lot, but these were impossibly large.

I bought these to have a shoe similar to the Keen Toyah Mary Jane, but in a different color from what I have (they quit making the Toyah MJ), but found them to be a cheaply made but not less expensive imitation. The fit is not near as comfortable -- the heel cup comes up too high and the shoe feels more narrow overall. The shoe is stiff and cardboardy and the lining is an uncomfortable synthetic fabric (as opposed to the Toyah's plush leather lining). They are really cute though, so too bad I had to send them back.

I agree with some of the other gals reviewing this shoe. Oh so cute, great room in the toe box (especially for those that can have any pressure on your toes). However, I almost thought I was crazy until I read the reviews when my heel slipped right out. Impossible for me to walk in, and I think if I got a 1/2 size smaller it would not solve the problem. Adorable shoe, they missed the mark on a good Keen fit that they are known for.

I still own a pair of mary jane style Keens that I purchased more than ten years ago—the Keen Sydney II. I could tell immediately that this new versions was no where near the quality of the old one. In the Sydney, the area around the ankle bones was cut into a lowered V-shape to give the ankle room to maneuver. This new Presidio was too high on the sides and cut directly into the outside of my ankle bone the minute I stood up. Ouch!! And my ankles are average—nothing large or strange about them. The Sydney was made from a softer, higher quality leather that molded itself around my foot. This cheaper, plastic-hard leather of the Presidio (if it is leather) is never going to soften up or be comfortable where the top of the shoe meets the top part of the foot. It is rock hard like a plastic cereal bowl. In the Sydney, this top part was also much longer, covering more of the top of the foot, which makes the shoe more comfortable as well. Not so in the Presidio. And the insole has some kind of cheap, plastic layer on top that reminded me of a colored ziplock bag. The sole seemed okay and the strap was substantial enough, though the Sydney had extra padding on the strap for comfort. I hoped, based on other reviews, for something even remotely like the older Keen—but not so. Love Zappos but hate the new Keen! Will certainly avoid this brand in the future.

I have bought these shoes in the past...same size. Now they now longer fit. It is annoying when you find a shoe you like, then they are manufactured differently or to different specifications. Now I can no longer buy this shoe type..

I love, love, love my Presidio lace-up shoes which I have in black and in the waterproof red and gray. So I bought the Maryjane shoe in black in size 6.5 (the same size as the lace-ups I own). But it was too big. My heel comes up in back. I read the reviews and found that you need to order one half-size smaller. So I ordered this shoe in a size 6. (keeping the original order to compare---good thing). Because when this shoe arrived, the box is marked size 6, and the shoe is marked size 6 (although the tag is frayed), but the shoe looks like a size 8 or 9. So I am returning it with a request that please open the box before sending and make certain that you are actually sending me a size 6, which I hope will really fit!

super cute. good fit in the length - but the elastic is too stretchy so the strap doesn't hold your foot in. expect to slip out the back like a clog.

I wear a 7.5 in every Keen shoe I've ever owned. I ordered these and they swamped my feet. I compared them to my other Keens and they were almost an inch longer. Sent them back for a smaller pair. The new ones fit lengthwise but were very wide even by Keens standards. The heel slipped terribly but when I cinched the strap to fix that it rubbed my skin and cut into my foot. The worst part was that it rubbed and pressed down HARD on my big toe bone. 5 minutes of walking and the bone was aching. I have to agree with what some others said about them looking like clown shoes. You'd think as wide as they are there would be no way they could rub there. Sadly these will be going back.

What a disappointment! I literally wore my last Keen mary janes until they split in half, and this new incarnation is just not cool. I normally wear a 9½ and those were giant. I exchanged them for a 9and those were so tight, my toe was jammed up to the edge! Plus the insole in the shoe is this weird material that felt icky against my feet. Total bummer.

The size 5.5 were too big, and the size 5 even bigger. I can't figure that one out. The width was also larger than normal, but that doesn't bother me, living in NYC and having swollen feet in the summer. Keen doesn't make a size 4 on this style, not that I'd order them. Something is off here. But I saved the money!
