Great for airports and travel. The bag sits well on my shoulders but could do with better padding for comfort. An internal holder for a slim water bottle would be great, along with the popular key clasp in the inner pocket. This bag looks great and moves well wherever I go. Great buy!

The pack is used as a daily commute and International Business Travel holding my worldly electronics, clothing, comfort items and valuable personal belongings. There are pockets for everything and I like that very much once I get the hang of the layout. It's swing out notebook and tablet pouch is the greatest - easing the pain of going through international airport security that makes TSA looks like Sunday School Kids. I would wish that the pack is more weatherproof as I like in Asia and travel in all weather - I now cover it with a third party pack cover. I also wish to have horizontal compression straps to make the pack smaller and more stable when running with it.

I use this primarily for travel. Of course, I love the TSA-compliant feature since I carry a laptop, an iPad, and a Kindle. Zip open, zip close. Easy. What remains amazing is the amount of stuff you can fit in it. Used to be that jamming a jacket or hoodie in a pack meant the thing looked stuff, and was stuffed. Now, I actually have extra space. From a style view, it doesn't look like back-packy, but is subdued. Very cool. For me, the perfect travel pack. One really minor thing is it doesn't have a clippy thing in the pockets for your keys. I added one, because otherwise it was always fishing around in the pocket to find the keys.

Purchased item, as I needed to carry a 15" laptop everyday and my previous bag was not large enough. I have been using the Command for 3 weeks. I take public transportation about 90% of the time. The Command was what I was looking for: great protection for laptop, enough room to pack a lunch, paper files, a small book. I like the option of the carry handle, as there are times when wearing a backpack is not appropriate or convenient. Comfortable to use. Enough pockets for me and size is about right for my needs. On warmer afternoons, have stowed down vests that I wore in the mornings under jackets. Never in a downpour with it, but in light rain and snow, gave good protection. I would highly recommend it to friends and I would purchase again for myself. Price is good for what you receive, even a better value on sale when I purchased. Constructed well, sewn well also. Hopefully will last as long as other Timbuk 2 items I have purchased over the years.

I got this bag when I was visiting San Francisco a couple years ago, it immediately stood out from the rest; they actually had the premium cordura version for cheaper but I still cashed out for the all-black nylon version. I thought it felt lightweight and durable. It became my faithful companion at all times, going on trips to Scandinavia, my Master's studies to Arabia, and back home. Even took it to a job interview which I ended up getting. This bag is amazing in many ways. I'm a faithful bike commuter all around, biking through the arid desert in arabia with groceries on my back while keeping them fresh, or just transporting valuable documents and a suit+change of clothes for a quick job assignment. The compression straps make it versatile while still looking amazing. Figuratively this became my best friend, transporting my heavy bulky workstation (lenovow520+charger) and later a macbookpro with no issues, either on a daily basis or not so frequent half the world away back-home trip. Withstood all this with negligible wear: This bag was solid. Perhaps not the most waterproof bag, but it will hold on for a few minutes with no worries. The straps are a bit funky, having to turn them to access the laptop compartment, but I can tell you that carrying a ton of stuff, this bag still felt comfortable on my back, practical, and I can't say that of other bags, were standing in the desert sun for 2 mins. makes you sweat, this bag kept it's cool. Plus the weight distribution is infallible, very important while cycling (had bad experiences on the past with other bags). Compartments for everything. Laptop and documents, Bigger everything storage, smaller front sized one for books or whatever, quick one for important stuff (charger or whatever), PADDED GLASSES POCKET EF-YEAH, and a cool front one for quick access to infinite haribo gummies and kindle and headphones and handy buff scarf (you never know where your flight connections will take you). Seriously, you can fit anything you can, and will need on a round the world flight. Essentials and a bit of extras. There is not enough praise on this bag, it's seriously cool looking, discrete, stands up when placed on the floor. Handles are SOLID. Seriously, get this bag, you will not regret it. Unfortunately I got this bag stolen recently when I got my car broken into while in Mexico. Seriously, the guys took the bag but not the rosetta+philae space mission memorabilia from a scientific conference at the international book fair in guadalajara, sad thing is that I had some books still inside, I will miss you forever my faithful companion, after two years I still thought you looked brand new to me. You couldn't have come soon enough and you left my side adventures before time. This bag is taller rather than wider, this makes it look sleek on your back, instead of the ones that look all bulky and wide sticking out of you like a boulder of sorts. No, this thing stays aero on your back: Boom! It may be a good idea to mention I'm 6ft tall, so it does feel nice. It will fit underneath any flight seat, and trust me, I've gone to embraer minijet lengths to get where I need to. After a while you can master the art of doing the zippers silently, specially useful in school or office settings while stealthily leaving early. Seriously, I loved this bag so much my girlfriend is jealous after reading this review. She even got one of her own too!

Traded my LL Bean book bag for this pack. It holds just as much in a slimmer package. I miss the little strap for the keys. Otherwise great, lighter, and more sophisticated than my LL Bean bag. I can carry my laptop, iPad, kindle, and knitting with plenty of room for a jacket and work stuff.

As a travelers backpack this an outstanding product. Highly recommend. The only improvement I would suggest would be a better strap on top that could work with a roll aboard.

I shopped long and hard for a backpack that looked good, worked hard and held all my gear. After buying a number of packs, this comes closest to 'perfect.' The funny thing was, even though I had purchased (and used) a number of other bags and packs, I found this one while standing in line at Starbucks. I sought it out online and bought it. It's now my 'go to' pack for travel as it's roomy enough to carry all my electronics (gadget guy so I have a lot) and even a pair of pants, shirt and jacket. I'm extremely happy with this pack and it's versatility.

I bought this to use for my work laptop and also for gym clothes as needed since i go to the gym after work. I commute by train or car depending on the day. this bag is great for trains, it's close to your body and you bump into others less with it, yet there is still a lot of room inside. it's classy and sleek, looks good. compartments are well thought out good zippers i'm happy

Great and comfortable bag. I don't think all of the fabrics are waterproof but I opted for the gray waterproof finish and it passed the test in Portland, Oregon. Getting the laptop in and out is a little odd, but you can really pack this bag to the gills and it stays relatively comfortable.

Backpack is well built, sturdy but stylish. The amount of storage space and available pockets is amazing, exactly what I needed for work travel when bringing the laptop.

I really appreciate how well designed and made this bag is. For instance the lap top section is located differently than most bags I have tried, because it as far back in the bag as possible, the bag feels more comfortable than any I have ever tried. The attention to detail and high quality construction is evident in all aspects of the bag. I am very happy with this product, it exceeds expectations.

The photos and videos of this backpack don't do it justice; I was worried there wouldn't be enough organization on the inside of the pack, but there is just the right amount. This bag is perfect for my daily commute, with enough space to pack all the essentials while still being small enough to be easily manageable on a crowded ferry or BART train. A++, would buy again.

I needed to replace my plain messenger bag with something stylish and spacious, this bag fits the bill. I mainly use it for my laptop but it is a perfect weekend travel bag. The bag is very spacious after you extend the bottom straps. The additional pockets in the bag is also excellent. Overall, I am pleased with the bag.

I've been looking for a good three-day bag for a couple of months and finally snagged the Command. It easily fits 4 changes of clothes, a pair of shoes, and some toiletries and my electronics. It looks good, is pretty comfortable while wearing and is very well organized. I love this bag!

I use this bag when I travel, and I've used a lot of bags. This one is by far the easiest to use when flying/traveling. Just unzip the back compartment and your laptop is now solo and you don't need a bin! I usually stuff my backpack with lots of various items and it'd be a PITA to pull my laptop out once I had perfectly packed my bag... this bag prevents the chaos that would ensue as I would try to repack my bag on the benches after TSA (oh and the 2-3 times I've walked away without my laptop since it was in it's own bin and I occasionally would forget).

My husband asked specifically for a Timbuk2 pack as an anniversary gift to replace a pack from another company that was falling apart. He likes this one so much that he's using it every day to and from work, in addition to when he travels. We're very happy with this gift.

I'm a consultant traveling 5 days a week and this bag is awesome. It is lightweight and gets smaller when its not full, but can accommodate a LOT of stuff. There are enough pockets but not too many pockets. I have the military green color and I love it - finally I don't have to just have a black backpack for work. The only thing I wish this bag had was a smaller, cell-phone/wallet sized pocket that was accessible while wearing the bag.

It's a solid pack with as much room and carrying spaces as you're going to get in a pack which may be carried on a plane. Very well constructed, it has nice storage spaces for everything you're going to carry on a trip or around town. It also has TSA friendly notebook storage. I strongly recommend it and other Timbuk2 products.
