I have been so excited about this purchase. This bag is awesome, has tons of organizational compartments, looks great, and is jam packed with features. It has definitely been the topic of conversation to many folks that have seen it in use. The comfort and capacity of what this bag offers is ideal for me. While this bag is 400D Coated Nylon, I don't feel confident that my belonging would be completely safe during a rainstorm. That to me is the only trade off with this bag which I did know ahead of time from purchasing, so I guess it's really not worth complaining about.

It has been great for my travels. I do a lot of driving and flying and this helps me keep all my stuff accounted for and is comfortable to have strapped to my back.

This is the best, thoughtfully designed computer backpack. Thank you, Timbuk2 you've done it again.

I commute with this bag daily and it is great. It keeps its shape when full or empltt and does not get all saggy like a loaded diaper. Lots of pockets keep my things organized. Light to moderate rain are no problem - I have had no leaks. Just walked eight miles in Manhattan with a full pack and it was comfortable all day. Very happy with this bag!

I use this every day, and it has not let up on me yet. I would have loved for it to have a similar rain protection in case we see any more here in California, but otherwise this works great and gets lots of envious stares

Awesome for travel. Especially if you are on a short trip with just this bag. Fits great under seat on plane. Love the laptop section, very front pocket for keys/work id/bible, top pocket for sunglasses protection, big section for clothes/lunch. Great for commuting on train. My favorite bag ever. Definitely will buy more products!

I use the command backpack everyday commuting to work, it securely holds my laptop and everything else I need and is super comfortable. The nylon exterior is tough and overall feels very well made... Also it looks really cool!

I'm a commuter that takes the bus and walks and this backpack has worked really well for me! I was tired of carrying multiple bags and now can just use one bag!

This backpack was exactly what I was needing for a week long business trip. It served as my carryon and helped me comfortably carry around my laptop and materials while attending a conference. Only minor complaint is that the description stated you don't need to open up and remove your laptop while doing through TSA security. Wrong! Tsa not only wanted me to open up my bag... But wanted my laptop completely removed and in a separate bin. Not necessarily the fault of Timbuk2... Just not an accurate statement given the nature of our airport security and how vastly different the rules seems to be for each airport.
The product it's self is stellar though...I own 2 other Timbuk2 bags and love them both. Each serve a different purpose and each have been through hell and back and have held up as if the day they were bought. Couldn't be happier.

I'm not sure I've ever laid eyes on a backpack produced with such immense thoughtfulness and quality.
Every week I notice a new reason it was designed the way it was, and I can't say that I have a single bad thing to say about this backpack.

My awesome wife bought this for me as my H.A.L broke down after about 4 years of service. We call it the whale as it can swallow down almost anything!
I used the H.A.L backpack before this and thought that was the best, swallowing all that I can throw at it. This is so much better, I get more compartments, it looks better, the straps feel more cushioned and I feel it can fill just about the same as the H.A.L! I now carry it often to work, outings and to church!
The only con was the front main compartment zipper. It was hard to zip at the top.

I've had my Command backpack for almost a month now, and I am so happy with my decision about getting it. I had a Timbuk2 messenger bag (which I also love) but I found myself needing a little more room so I wanted to give a Timbuk2 backpack a try.
I primarily use this bag for work; I wanted something that was professional looking as well as practical and that is what I got in this bag. It has plenty of space for me. I read some reviews prior to purchasing complaining about the laptop storage being in an inconvenient place, but I really like how the laptop storage is designed because I know my laptop will be protected. If I'm in a hurry my laptop easily fits into the main compartment, so I am glad I didn't let that review turn me off from this bag.
My Yeti fits into the side mesh water-bottle compartment, which is good because it is too wide to fit into the one on my messenger bag. I also find this backpack to be super comfortable to wear and it has a side handle to grab the bag which I also really like.

The bag is simple yet stylish. It has a ton of useful compartments. My only complaint is that the bottle pocket on the side isn't deeper. Great bag all the same.

I have carried this bag for over three years and absolutely love it. My first one was well loved and started having a few seam issues which Timbuk2 customer service promptly replaced. I love the second one even more, the fabric is a perfect mix of form and function. I can travel for 3-5 days, with all of my work gear, toiletries and even a suit in this bag. Yet, it's not so big that I don't want to use it daily. I would be lost without this piece of gear, one my many Timbuk2 purchases, but by far and away my most favorite.

Great bag, but needs a few improvements.
It looks great, holds everything needed for travel, fits under airline seat, TSA friendly...
I travel often for work and would like the bag secure on my carry on suitcase. I also have the Commute messenger bag and would like the handle pass through available on this backpack.
As a work around, I added a clip strap to the side grab handle to clip on to my suitcase handle.
The side grab handle is also very thin and needs some additional padding due to the typically weight of laptop, chargers, phone, etc. I added strap padding to address this.
Last, the shoulder straps could use more padding and I've added shoulder padding as well.

I started looking into backpacks with a lot of space for traveling. I came across this bag,and in spite of the lack of reviews/information out there, I decided to take a chance and purchase this bag and I haven't regretted it. The capacity and organization of the bag is impressive. The build quality is great, and the bag maintains a really slim, professional profile, especially when you cinch the straps on the bottom.

I bought this to replace the old worn out backpack before a 2 week family trip to Japan. Used it daily and found it s size and features to be perfect. Haven't gotten a chance to confirm it's weather resistance yet but i would definitely recommend.

I LOVE the amount of pockets and compartments on this backpack. I have 3 Timbuk2 backpacks and this is by far my favorite because of the number of pockets. I also really like the texture and stylish design of this backpack. I can carry it even when I am dressed business professional because of the design on my job. Thumbs up and hopes this lasts a long time.
