The fit snd size were good, but the materials look/feel cheap!
Fake leather, plastic lining the inside. What happened to Sorel quality?

Zappos customer service was excellent in every way - ease of ordering, quick delivery, easy return process and quick refund to my account. The boots however were terrible. And I tried two sizes but both were too narrow and the piece of fabric up the back of the boot cut into the back of my ankle with every step. Keep up running a customer friendly business. Sorel needs to work on their quality. It has slipped.

The back of the boot is poorly designed.. The back slouches forward and just rubs on the ankle. Causes blisters. Very uncomfortable

Does not keep your feet warm in the snow. Runs a little bigger than true size. Very clunky.

They are not comfortable and are being returned. The rubber part rubs on your heal and comes up so high it rubs on your ankle bone. Cute color, but not comfy at all

I love Sorel boots, but this one didn't fit right on my feet. I ordered my usual size (7.5), but my toes rubbed the top of the boot yet the top of my foot had so much empty space. Overall, just didn't fit right unfortunately.

Seriously so heavy and clunky. I cannot drive in them, I can barely even walk in them without feeling like big foot

I live in Ohio which has ornery winter weather: snow, slush, cold. I'm a birder who is outside in all kinds of weather even in winter. Some outings I might stand for long periods but often walk quite a bit as well. I ordered these Sorels along with the Columbia Ice Maiden II boot to compare. I usually wear a 7-7.5 but have a high arch & somewhat wide feet so fit is often a problem. I ordered a 7 in the Sorel and was happy with the fit but was disappointed in a few things I didn't notice from the description/photo. First, the felt liners are NOT removable even tho the description stated they were. I have a very old pair of knee-high Sorels (no idea what style) with the traditional removable liners which I prefer. Second, I didn't realize the plush collar on the Winter Carnival is not continuous across the top of the boot--there's a wide gap at the top of the laces. This seems like a design flaw--snow could easily get into the boot over an inch below where the plush collar is located. My guess is stepping into 6" or more of snow might begin to be an issue. This would also allow water to enter. Third, although these boots are quite comfortable, they are on the heavy and clunky side, similar to my tall Sorels. Although that weight/clunkiness was not unexpected, I've decided to send these back & likely will keep the Columbia boot as they offer higher snow protection and are lighter for longer walks/driving. My old Sorels have always been warm & waterproof so I would presume these Sorels would be, too, but since I did not wear them outside, I can't vouch for that. Time will tell if the Columbias are as warm/waterproof as my old but trustworthy Sorels.

I have walked around my yard to supervise my children playing in the snow. I didn't walk in the snow and my feet were cold. However the size is exactly as stated. They fit big so order accordingly. I didn't return because the receipt says I am not allowed once they have been worn. I was just testing them out but now I am stuck with expensive cold foot boots. Haven't worn since. Not my first Sorel's. I loved my last pair.

I bought these boots Dec. 19th, 2019, There are rips in both boots as shown in the pictures I am very disappointed. I was hoping to get a few more years out of them before having to replace them.

The differences between half sizes is enormous. I bought the 9.5 and 10 to try out, and my toes are hitting the front of the 9.5 but in the 10 my heel is lifting up way too much causing the skin to rub. These are super wide as well! Way too large overall. Also, the laces come untied after like 5 minutes of walking.

I bought my normal size, they were too small. That being said, they felt like wearing ski boots even though the size was too small. I returned them.

When I received these in the mail I tried them in right a away only to be terribly disappointed! They run SO small and narrow! I first tried them on without socks and could hardly get my foot in them. I wear a 7 so I bought a 7 due to other reviews and I think I need to size up to an 8!

I'll start by saying this review is my personal opinion as hundreds of girls at my university own these and adore them. I originally bought these shoes because they are super popular and I thought they were cute. However, they are not warm enough for Michigan winters in the slightest and lack insulation. Usually, I'll wear a pair of thick wool socks in winter boots and my feet will stay warm in sub freezing temps however, with these shoes, I can wear up to 3 pairs of socks and my feet will still be cold. I also am a jeans girl and don't like the bunching that occurs when you wear jeans with these boots. The tread on the shoe is also not adequate for Michigan weather. I will continue to wear them begrudgingly and only recommend them to Floridians.

These boot were uncomfortable. They are clunky and heavy. The ankles are stiff and are angled in such a way that the boots keep you constantly leaning forward.

I got these boots after my old boots got a hole in the bottom of them. I live in Alaska so the idea was to find a pair of boots that work great in the snow and ones that would keep my feet warm and dry. After reading all of the reviews on these ones I decided to get them. They do run about 1/2 larger than your actual size. Like I wear a size 6 and probably should have gotten a 5 1/2. My problem with them though is that all the reviews saying they keep your feet warm are not so accurate and when I get home at night the heel area is always soaked and I'm still not sure how it happens. Also, if you are looking for a slick proof boot these boots are NOT right for you. They do not have great traction at all! They are cute boots, but they don't fair well against the Alaska weather.

Nice looking boot but was disappointed when I tried them on. The shaft is made of fabric and the felt liner inside was slouchy. It rubbed the back of my heal. I got a blister just walking around the house in
the boots. Would not recommend these boots.

I have been on an odyssey of winter boot research and shudder to think of how many hours I spent online hunting/reading through reviews, so when I made my purchase I really, really wanted to love these boots. The good points: they are solidly made (though a little clunky to walk in) offer excellent insulation from the cold/rain/snow, and appear to be a boot that could last many winters. But alas, it wasn't meant to be. The main reason for the low rating and my return of these boots is as others have commented: the ankle area is disproportionally designed, resulting in constant rubbing and some terrible blisters at the back of my ankle. To note: I do not have particularly thin or thick ankles, and have never experienced this type of blister from rubbing. I tested two shoe sizes, tried re-lacing it to varying degrees of tightness, experimented with wearing thin socks, thick socks, cotton socks vs wool socks...nothing worked. I ended up purchasing the Merrell Tremblant boot, which has been perfect for me. As an aside: Zappos customer support has been fantastic throughout the whole process, and continues to earn my loyalty.

I love the classic look of the Sorel winter boot. I really wanted to keep these as my new winter/shovel/snowshoe/hike boot. They slip on like a charm, and, feel very comfortable, as long as you aren't going anywhere. But, they are heavy, clunky and very stiff while walking, with my heel lifting for every step. I know the stiffness would eventually be reduced with wear, but, they were so heavy, I couldn't imagine hiking for long in them... had to return. Fortunately, with Zappos, that is an easy process.

I don’t know how anybody walks in these! They’re super cute but they are so stiff and clunky, and every step I take my heels lift off the bottom of the shoe. I really wanted these to work because they are so adorable, but I could never actually wear these.
