These are very cute boots, love the contrast of the canvas, sherpa, and rubber textures. The red color is truly a candy apple red, love it for winter! I returned these boots, however, because they ran very large - they were so wide, I couldn't manage walking in them even with thick socks! The sole is also exceptionally stiff, so I felt like I was clomping around with no control over my feet. If you are tall or have smaller feet, these might be better for you...but as a Petite girl, they were just "too much."

These were replacing my current pair of sorels and were warm and good quality but were way too big! I had to return and will have to find locally to try on before ordering my new pair. I'm excited to wear them this winter. Love Sorel!

I work on a wooded 13-acrea school campus and I live on a 10-acre farm. I was hoping for a boot that would be versatile in look and use to transition from touring families on our campus and into the office. This boot kept my feet dry and warm but was a bit too bulky and structured for everyday use for me. The structured nature of the lower portion on the boot caused my Achilles tendon to hurt while driving my car. These boots have a low heel - which I love and find hard to come by. Sorel was a boot brand recommended by Katy Bowman of KatySays. She specializes in body mechanics and posture. She has written a book about how important shoes are to our overall health. That's what drew me to check this brand out in the first place. I am in the process of returning the boots and the CSR is working hard to recommend a boot that might fit my needs better.

Love this boot. Casual enough to wear in any context, and stylish enough to bring together any winter outfit. I got mine in Dark Seas, so it gives a little pop in the winter snow. Super warm. definitely water proof. great quality. Definitely runs half a size or so large.

After doing extensive research on how to keep my feet warm in a new climate (new to me), I found myself back with Sorel, coincidentally the last place I purchased winter boots 25 years ago. At that time the Caribou was the only option and I remembered it was a bit heavy. The Winter Carnival packs all the protection and padding of the Caribou but is notably lighter. I sacrificed the beefy sole and traction of the Caribou, but it hasn't made me feel less stable (the winter carnival sole is ridged). Perhaps it's because I'm older, or because Maine is really cold, but my toes are slightly cold after standing in the snow for an hour with my kids. I may need to wear liners with my wool socks. Otherwise, the cordura upper fabric is tough and won't tequire as much care as leather, and the styling is cute for a clunky boot. I'm really pleased with the purchase and would do it again!
