The coat was what i was looking for. It holds up to the spring weather. I do wish the sleeves were a tad longer, but my son is part sasquatch and that is a personal preference, as i have to shop big and talls at times. It fit his shoulders and until he outgrows it we are satisfied.

Was looking for the perfect soft shell jacket and found the Ascender II with a hood to boot. It's the right material weight combined with warmth to wear as a layer. Takes the edge off cold windy days. I'm 6.6 and this jacket has the right sleeve length to not need the Tall model.

I love this jacket!! It has a soft wind blocking layer along with a hood. It's the perfect option for a windy and/or rainy day.

My boyfriend had this jacket for many years and was overdue for a new one. Its his favorite jacket of all time year round

I was looking for a waterproof jacket, that fits well, looks good and delivers in the rain. The Ascender exceeded my expectations and has once again reaffirmed why Columbia Sportswear is my go to place for all outdoor apparel.

Great product, fit is perfect, looks great too. The pockets zip, which is great for public transit rides, bike rides. The material is partially waterproof, which is great for the northeast, random showers etc. Drawstring waist helps keep me warm, fleece lining is comfortable and warm. It is easily machine washable too, which is great because I wear this after the gym. I love this jacket!

This is a well made jacket. It fits well and is super warm and comfortable.

Made out of quality material, hood is adjustable. It is slightly small on the torso (so mine is one size larger than what I usually wear) but that may just be my preference for shells.

Great fit and versatile and comfortable when warm you don't get hot medium worked for me I'm 5'5 175

I bought this for my son and he loves it. The fit was perfect and the styling great for an everyday jacket.

I wanted something I didn't have to layer. Something warm enough but not so heavy or thick. So far the jacket beads water off without a treatment like nikwax. Even in heavy wind the jacket performed great and really takes the bite out of the wind. The fit is perfect with just enough room for an under shirt and wool mid layer. The hood adjustment works well. However, the only downside to the jacket is there's no draw cord for the hood so you can't cinch the hood to fit. The only adjustment is how far forward the hood hangs. Other than that it's perfect. The outer part seems tough enough to handle everyday use with no problem.

Exactly what my husband wanted. I ordered the same jacket in green and they are perfect for chilly, rainy days.

This jacket performs superbly given its lighter weight material. This is my second Ascender soft shell jacket. My go to for weather down to 30 degrees.

Good product beanie ran a little bit big but overall a good product
