Let me start by saying that I LOVE Sorel boots. I have several pairs and LOVE them all. I wanted a shorter rain boot and liked this look the best. I read the reviews and purchased a size up - I bought a 9 when I usually wear 8.5. I looked ridiculous in them, like clown shoes. So I returned them and got a 8.5. I liked them at first but when I tried to wear them one rainy day (with socks), I couldn't walk because they were so uncomfortable!? The seam where the leather part meets the rubber on the top of the foot and in the back near my heel were both too tight. It also has some kind of padding on the inside which I am sure would keep your feet warm, but it doesn't help the overall fit of the boot. I am still a SOREL fan and won't hesitate to buy from them again but sadly this boot didn't work for me.

I bought these after ttraveling with a girlfriend who wore them. I ordered a size 7 wihich normally in Sorel is standard for me. I received this style and suffered a calf cramp trying to put it on. Plus it looks a little silly in smaller size. Returning and hoping size 8 works out

I was sent a half size smaller than I ordered and I wouldn't have liked them even in my size because my heel still slipped when i walked in them. From the picture it looks like the back curves in but inside it's straight up and down. I have a narrow heel so this wouldn't work even with thick socks. Also, when I put a pair of shoes or boots on I want them to feel comfortable right off the bat. These were stiff as a board. I don't want to pay this much money for something I have to bide my time and limp around before they feel good on my feet. I went thru that in my younger years and now I'm much older with no patience left to suffer needlessly.

Very cute but too narrow for my foot, I think even if they were a size larger the back of the boot would dig into my ankle.

Great looking boots...but it's stiff and hard as a rock. Not very comfortable. Not sure if it'll stretch and if it will get softer in the long run, but I'm sure it'll give you lots of blisters breaking them in.

Based on some of the reviews I ordered a half size up expecting the shoe to run small, however they were too big. The shoe ran true to size for me. I find Sorel shoes to be all over the place with the fit in general. In the pics the laces are tucked in which I didn't realize, so with the laces tied in the front they looked too much like high top sneakers rather than boots so I'll be returning them, but overall, these are cute and comfortable shoes if that's the look you're going for.

I am a size 6 but zappos recommended I order a whole size bigger because the show ran small. So I ordered a 7 and it was huge. So I then ordered a 6 1/2 and it was way too tight. Not sure this shoe will fit anyone properly

I wanted so much to love this boot. I bought it in a full size larger, after reading other reviews. They were weird - not just uncomfortable, but had noticeable defects in the stitching and where materials come together to the point of causing discomfort when worn. I ordered one pair and the left shoe had an uncomfortable bulge on the top laces but I REALLY wanted to love them so I ordered another pair to see if I just got a bad boot. I actually ended up buying 4 pair from 2 different stores in the search of a right and a left shoe that were wearable. I ended up returning all 4 pair. Very disappointing but I'll find another duck boot to love. I decided that I shouldn't have to try that hard to convince myself to keep a pair of boots.

Ordered these firs tin 9, then 9.5. When the 9.5 arrived, where the tongue connects to the shoe was incredibly stiff and rubbed the top of my foot. Needless to say, returned both and am trying the slip on style Out'N About Chelsea for reference.

Definitely needed a full size up in these boots. I am usually a 6-6.5 and ordered a 7. They were too tight and would need a 7.5 however, the uppers of these are very stiff and didn't seem like they would "soften" with time and posed to be uncomfortable. So back they go and the search for low winter waterproof boots continues...

I thought these looked so cute on the site but they are without a doubt the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever put on my foot. I feel like I'd have to develop callouses on my ankles in order for them to not rub them raw. Definitely returning.

I wanted to love these boots so badly. They are cute and perfect for rainy days when you don't want the wear the much heavier winter boot styles. However, wear this hits your ankle is painful and uncomfortable. Perhaps the leather gets softer with wear but I couldn't imagine having to wear them like this is the meantime. Also, order up at least a full size. I'm a 7.5 and had to order the 9

These boots look super cute, but were super uncomfortable. As recommended I sized up from a 7.5 to an 8, but the fit stilL wasn't right- the width is quite narrow and the back really cuts into your leg.

I bought these boots to wear in between seasons. I wanted to love them so bad...but they were painfully uncomfortable to wear. I ordered the elk color in my true size 6. They were adorable on! But the height of the shaft hit directly on my ankle bone, which caused them to rub blisters on my ankles as I walked. I ended up exchanging them for a different pair of Sorels. I'm assuming that this problem would have been solved if I sized up.

I was looking for something to wear when it wasn't snowing ( moving to Maine) . Thought I would give these a try. They look good in pictures but they're awkward on. I love the color but when I try to lace them they're uncomfortable, start scraping my ankles, just not as cute. I ordered a size larger based on reviews and I was actually able to get them on. If I had ordered my regular size (8.5) instead of a 9.5 not sure my foot would have made it in.

Sooo super cute and appear to be very well made, but the sizing is all kinds of weird. Most of the reviews I've read here and on other sites say they're a full size too big, so that's what I ordered. I'd say it's really more like a half size too big-maybe not even that. They looked like clown shoes on me. Also the back of the boot (made of a very thick, stiff leather) rubbed painfully on my ankle and leg, even with thick socks. Sadly returning.

I followed the advice to order a full size larger but these are too big for me. Hard to tell if they would be comfortable because my foot is sliding around in them. Might be better to just order 1/2 size larger.

Loved these out of the box. I bought both the navy and the black (because I wanted to try two different sizes and see the different colors). I bought one pair that was a half size larger than my usual size and the other was a full size larger. Both fit, but the full size larger was much easier to get on and off. Whereas the half size larger I definitely had to wiggle my foot in for a solid minute, but they were okay once on. Both colors were really nice, but I ended up returning both due to comfort. If I were to keep one, I think I would have gotten the navy. Unfortunately, the heel (achilles area) was incredibly uncomfortable. I took 10 steps, and was like, heck no. I even tried to put on super thick socks, and still found them uncomfortable. Maybe they would eventually break in, but it just didn't seem like it.

I really wanted these shoes to work. I love the way they look and think they would make the perfect rain boot. The fit was not right for my foot. I ordered a size larger than I usually would as other reviews suggested. My toe was at the very end, almost too small and the width was way to wide, resulting in a too short and too fat feel. I walked around the house in them hoping it wouldn't bother me. I tried different socks. In the end I had to return them and continue my search for the perfect rain shoe.

I really wanted to love these boots as they are very cute, however they didn't work for me. The top of the boot rubbed against my ankle, even when wearing thick socks. The leather is very stiff and even after a few days of wearing around the house, they didn't soften to the point where the rubbing stopped. I was so bummed as they seemed like exactly what I was looking for. They also run small, I needed a half size larger than normal and for thick socks would've needed a full size larger.

Boots are so cute, but terribly uncomfortable due to height of boot. It hits right on the soft part of my ankle and with every step rubbed a sore. I quickly realized I can only wear these with thick socks. So I should have gone up a full size instead of only a half size.
