I wear a 9, sometimes 9.5. I could not get this boot on without practically taking the laces out. It was so tight and small that I double-checked to see if the box didn't say Size 6 instead of 9. Order up at least one size! They were cushy and not heavy. And the front end does turn up like the photo suggests, even when you have them on..

I missed out on these last year so I was excited when they became available in 10 since reveiws said they run small. The area where the toes sit is almost impossolible to slide your foot through because its so tight. The width reads medium and in a 10 I never have problems because I leave a little wiggle room. These feel like theyre 2 size smaller in width. I'm going to try for an 11 because I want these so bad but I am almost sure I'll have the same problem. Wish me luck!

Based on reviews I ordered a size up.They were a size too big. Was going to exchange for my regular size, but ultimately decided not too because I feel the ankle opening is way too big and ordering a size down won't rectify that problem. I do have narrow ankles and calves. They are what I was looking for, just didn't fit right.

I really love the look of these boots but they run small. Normally I take a 8.5, but in these boots a 9.5 was even too small. I will give a size 10 a try if someone returns one as there are no more in stock.

Have been looking at these for several months and decided to finally pull the trigger. I wanted to love these, but am sadly returning. The leather at the top is very stiff and even with socks, I'm not sure that it would soften. Also, they have a tight, narrow, fit across my toes. And this definitely would not improve. Sorry, Sorel. Love the look, just not so much the fit. :(

These do run small, I think it is due to the toe area rounding up and felt tight. They are cute though! I hope my size comes back in stock!

I have pretty wide feet. Usually Sorels fit me, but these are quite a bit more narrow that other Sorels that I have worn. They are cute but I had to send them back. If your feet are narrow or average you might be okay.

These shoes are cute and seem very waterproof. They really are a full size small (a 10½ fit my 9½ feet just right). I returned them because the toe curls up and the laces were pretty stiff. I am not sure that they would be comfortable enough for long walks in the snow.

These fit weird. I ordered my normal size, a 7, and holy moly they were way too small. I ordered a full size up, an 8, and I thought they were still too small, so I tried an 8½. These were too big, so I guess I fit in the 8, but they feel snug. I was looking for an easy on/off shoe that I could just quickly put on to take the dog out and run errands, and thought these would be good for that. However, they are kind of pain to get on.

Shoe just isn't very comfortable. The leather is quite stiff and cuts into the back of my ankle. Maybe it would wear in with time, but it just felt icky on my foot. Also, no arch support at all. I wear a 7.5 with a wide foot. Besides the ankle/arch support, it was otherwise true to size. It was also a pain to slip my foot into and the loop at the back was too small to easily slip my finger to help it get one. Not a fan.

Awesomely cute boot but really does run small. I normally wear a 9, read the reviews so ordered a 9 1/2 - which needs to go back - no wiggle room at all so thick socks are a definite no no!

Order up! After reading the reviews, I played it safe (I thought) and ordered a half size up. I am usually a 9 and ordered a 9.5. They fit, but were very snug and my toes would have been cramped with a thicker sock. That being said...loved the style and everything! I re-ordered a size 10 after giving these to my sister as a gift.

My heart says, "Keep them, they are so cute!" , but my brain says, "Return them and hope Sorel redesigns them to fit better." I have them same comfort issues some other reviewers have commented on. I went a half size up and I have more than enough room in length but they are too snug across the widest part of my foot. I don't have wide feet. Also, the front turns up a little too much, but I think I could get used to that if it were the only issue. I also think there should be some padding around the ankle area for comfort if you don't want to wear high socks.

Found these to be really cute but they are at least a whole size too small. I normally wear an 8, I ordered and 8.5 and they were still too small.

Now these are cool shoes. They look stylish without trying - perfect for the slushy weather that awaits us. They do run quite small, however. I normally wear a 7.5 and even the 8 feels snug. I tried an 8.5 which length wise is perfect but is too bulky at the top. I am sticking with the 8's.

I typically wear a 9 or 9.5 and I ordered these in a 9.5. They were far too tight without socks, with any weight of sock they'd be too small. I exchanged them for a 10.5 thinking an entire size up would provide ample room for socks and still be comfortable. My big toe still touched when I put the 10.5 on, and the shoe looked a bit awkward. I have a wider toe box which worked against me with this shoe. I also live in the Colorado mountains where heavy snow is an issue so foot warmth (thick socks) is key. I think a person with a normal to narrow toe box living in a place with little to moderate snowfall or mostly rain would have great success with these Sorels. They are mega-cute and I think once the leather is worn in, they'd be great!

I love Sorels and own many different styles, but this style curves up at the toe and feel awkward. I even ordered a 1/2 size up, but the curves up at the toebox makes it feel like the shoe is too small or will rub and cause blisters. I am returning these.

I have multiple pairs of Sorel boots and normally love them, but not these. They looked so cute on the website, but when they arrived I was disappointed. They look and feel cheap and way overpriced! The rubber sole looked different on the shoes and the workmanship of these looked sloppy and cheap. They were not comfortable on and between the flat sole and the stiffness of the leather. The elk color is also much prettier on the website than in person, much darker. I returned them! If you are on the fence, do not buy!

I want so badly to power through with these boots but good grief they mutilated my ankles. I ordered a size up and they are not snug in the footbed at all, the ankle openings are wide but VERY stiff. Within 3 blocks, my ankles were raw and bleeding. For 2 weeks now I have been nursing these welts which are still quarter sized. They are super cute but I doubt there will ever be a day that I can wear these without preventive bandaids and wool socks.

These are cute but they are not warm or easy to get off. The leather strap used to pull them on ripped on day 2:(. Also the soles don’t have much grip. Am disappointed.

I was excited for these, but they were too uncomfortable! Outside of the normal need stiffness of new leather shoes, the top edges were slicing at my legs from the get-go, and wearing on the knuckle of my big toe. I ordered a size up and they were too big -- but I think my normal size would be too narrow once I added an insole. (Ordering a size up may work well if you wear these with winter socks.) That being said, these have a great look that seems very versatile (from hiking to trekking to work on a miserable day). These ones didn't work out, but I'd try other Sorel boots in the future.

Cute but they are so stiff around the ankles that there's no way they'd be comfortable enough to walk any distance. Sadly they're going back.

I purchased these boots directly from Sorel in the Fall of 2014 to replace a pair of LL Bean boots that I had been using since high school (10+ years). The LL Bean boots are still in perfect condition, but I wanted something a little lighter. The Sorel boots fit and function well (a little slippery on wet surfaces, which isn't ideal for a rain boot), but after 2 years of light use, the rubber has split and the top part of the boot has separated from the bottom. If I had worn them constantly, I might expect this, but they were only worn to walk the dog around the block in wet weather and to work on rainy days where I would immediately change into dress shoes. Since they've held up so poorly with very light use, I will not be purchasing this brand again.

I love the look of this rain boot compared to others in the category. Beyond looks, it was all disappointment. The shoe fit true to size lengthwise, maybe a tad snug. But it was far too tight across the ball of the foot. The Sperry Top-Sider Saltwater is much better fitting and more comfortable by a factor of at least 10. I really wanted to keep the Sorel, because I like the look a lot better than the Sperry. But it's so uncomfortable!
