I bought a pair of these today and didn't get to try them on first, due to it being curbside pickup only at REI. When I tried them on at home the right one felt a little tight. The foot bed, beneath the inner sole had been poorly constructed, it had ripples or bubble up in the toe area, making it smaller and uncomfortable.
It's going to cost me $8.50 to return the defective boots and I still need boots. Quality control was non-existent on this pair and I wonder if it's any better on the rest. I don't think I've ever bought defective shoes like this before.

Shoe fell apart after a single winter of use. Stayed waterproof for about a month then the sole started separating.

I bought these shoes two years ago and only wear them three months during the Winter months. After six months of wear, the sole separated from the treading, causing the shoes to leak and fall apart. I wish there was a way to share a few pictures of these "Like New" shoes with a defective sole. Timberland refuses to repair or replace the defective shoe and feels no duty to stand by their workmanship. I used to own Timberland shoes that last 5+ years and now they last less than two years! Buyer Beware!

The pair I bought fit like a glove, so they are comfortable to put on. But their ankle support is quite soft and lacking. Now that I've worn them in to their comfort-softness, I suspect they will lead to shin splints.
Quality Control seems lacking: First pair I tried had both shoes marked as size 11. One was more than a half-inch shorter than the other. This pair was better, but I wouldn't say they are exactly the same size.
Waterproof? Nope. A step in a 2" deep puddle resulted in wet feet. And the other day, I walked for 10 minutes in moderate rain, but using an umbrella so it was just the occasional drop and mist that got to the top of the shoes. Both feet were soaked two minutes into that walk. I have never had less waterproof shoes...even mesh-topped shoes have taken longer to make my socks wet.
I was going to give this shoe 2 stars because I do like the look, the initial comfort upon putting them on, and based on appreciation for the use of recycled materials. But I figured this boot had only been described as water resistant, which means very little and would just be of regular levels of disappointment. Now I recall/see it is described as Waterproof...drives my rating to the bottom.

After only four hours of wearing this shoe my feet were already hurting. They are boots, so I figured that I would wear them a few times to "break them in." After a week of wearing them it only got worse. Not one to give up, I thought maybe I would try and get new insoles for them and see if that was the problem. Much to my dismay that didn't work. I gritted them out for about two a a have weeks. Finally after my feet were toast and my lower back started hurting I decided to go back to my old sneakers. I'm a big chef and am on my feet all day so I know my feet take a beating, but these shoes offered no relief. I really hope Zappos will take these back and give me a credit. I can't do anything with these shoes.

I know, it's not the smartest thing to do when buying boots online but I tried my luck. Boots came with scuff marks all over them to the point that I had to immediately ship them back. I decided to just go into a store and buy the same pair which were 10 dollars cheaper.

In less than one month of use, these boots proved to not be waterproof. Very disappointing considering they were not cheap.

Bought this pair less than a year and it was fine during dry weather but as soon as it started raining forget it this pair did not live up to its name, Mailed it to Timberland warranty department since September and I still have not gotten a reply from them. Poor customer service. I would expect a little more from such a big company.

The sizing is off by a mile. I ordered a 13M and couldn't even slide my foot into the boot. Apparently the Chinese sizing lasts are of by at leeast two sizes.

Living in a big City, I purchased these boots for their modern look mostly. The fourth time I used these boots, while tying the laces, the Timberland logo on top of shoe's tongue shred apart, as if it were a sheet of paper in a shredding machine, which gives you a good idea of the quality and resistance of its materials. These boots looks great, but if you're looking for balance between price and durability, definitely these ain't for you. For the reputation the company has, I expected a minimum of quality. Needless to say this is my first and last pair of Timberland boots.

Living in a big city, I purchased these boots just for fashion. The fourth time I used'em, when tying the laces, the Timberland logo on top of shoe's tongue simply shred apart, which gives you a good idea of the quality and resistance of materials. These boots looks great, but won't survive over a couple of weeks of normal office work (there's carpet on my office floor). For the reputation the company has, I would expect a minimum of quality. Needless to say these are my first and last Timberland boots.

Well, I went to my local outdoor shop and they had these boots. I tried them on and loved them. Since buying them a week ago the rubber toe cap on the left boot is peeling off an the stitching on the inside is tore. For the price I paid I expected to get A LOT more out of them. Needless to say this is my first and last pair of Timberland boots.
