After buying 3 pairs and experiencing blisters in the last 5 months, in all fairness, it is good choice for beginner, short distance ( less than 3 miles with no hills) hikers or walkers.

Purchased for my son for hiking, he has worn them twice and the sole is peeling away at the toe, coming unsewn on the heel. For the money you would expect better quality.

I paid a lot of money for these and for them to be falling apart already is unsatisfactory.

I bought these boots for work as my old boots that I have bought for years were discontinued. I only wore them for about a week before the rubber toe piece began peeling away from the shoe. I was unable to return the shoes because I didn't have a receipt. So I tried to get my moneys worth anyway, and after two months the shoes are tearing at the seams, lifting from the sole, and the rubber piece at the toe has peeled back. I am very disappointed in timberlands customer service and return policy. I was told that the seams were warrantied for a year, but only with a receipt. I understand this policy, but I had proof of purchase with a bank statement and they would not honor the return. Long story short... KEEP YOUR RECEIPT or go with a company that stands behind their product.

After checking online, I have selected 3 pairs of shoes from Timberland for my size of 7. I wear 7 in size with Adidas, Rebook AICS etc. I used this pair of shoe for a walk to see if it fits and comfortable. It started hurting my big toe and index toe. This is the same size but the shoes are bigger that other company shoes and I could not wear. So I returned all the three pairs. Yesterday this pair of shoe was returned back to me with a letter stating that they do not accept the return if it is "damaged, washed, altered or worn ". I have question to the company " How do you know if it fits and is comfortable ? And do you still consider a quality shoe when it wears with one use ? I talked to the costumer service and the guy repeated the same thing. I asked him to find ways to get my money back and he said to donate or give to a friend. It is ridiculous. What is that 60 days return period ? Is it to keep in your home and return after 60 days ? This is the first time and company I have seen who returned the product back to the costumer. I would still like to hear from them and take back their shoes and refund my money back.

I bought a pair of these today and didn't get to try them on first, due to it being curbside pickup only at REI. When I tried them on at home the right one felt a little tight. The foot bed, beneath the inner sole had been poorly constructed, it had ripples or bubble up in the toe area, making it smaller and uncomfortable. It's going to cost me $8.50 to return the defective boots and I still need boots. Quality control was non-existent on this pair and I wonder if it's any better on the rest. I don't think I've ever bought defective shoes like this before.

Shoe fell apart after a single winter of use. Stayed waterproof for about a month then the sole started separating.

I bought these shoes two years ago and only wear them three months during the Winter months. After six months of wear, the sole separated from the treading, causing the shoes to leak and fall apart. I wish there was a way to share a few pictures of these "Like New" shoes with a defective sole. Timberland refuses to repair or replace the defective shoe and feels no duty to stand by their workmanship. I used to own Timberland shoes that last 5+ years and now they last less than two years! Buyer Beware!

The pair I bought fit like a glove, so they are comfortable to put on. But their ankle support is quite soft and lacking. Now that I've worn them in to their comfort-softness, I suspect they will lead to shin splints. Quality Control seems lacking: First pair I tried had both shoes marked as size 11. One was more than a half-inch shorter than the other. This pair was better, but I wouldn't say they are exactly the same size. Waterproof? Nope. A step in a 2" deep puddle resulted in wet feet. And the other day, I walked for 10 minutes in moderate rain, but using an umbrella so it was just the occasional drop and mist that got to the top of the shoes. Both feet were soaked two minutes into that walk. I have never had less waterproof shoes...even mesh-topped shoes have taken longer to make my socks wet. I was going to give this shoe 2 stars because I do like the look, the initial comfort upon putting them on, and based on appreciation for the use of recycled materials. But I figured this boot had only been described as water resistant, which means very little and would just be of regular levels of disappointment. Now I recall/see it is described as Waterproof...drives my rating to the bottom.

After only four hours of wearing this shoe my feet were already hurting. They are boots, so I figured that I would wear them a few times to "break them in." After a week of wearing them it only got worse. Not one to give up, I thought maybe I would try and get new insoles for them and see if that was the problem. Much to my dismay that didn't work. I gritted them out for about two a a have weeks. Finally after my feet were toast and my lower back started hurting I decided to go back to my old sneakers. I'm a big chef and am on my feet all day so I know my feet take a beating, but these shoes offered no relief. I really hope Zappos will take these back and give me a credit. I can't do anything with these shoes.

I know, it's not the smartest thing to do when buying boots online but I tried my luck. Boots came with scuff marks all over them to the point that I had to immediately ship them back. I decided to just go into a store and buy the same pair which were 10 dollars cheaper.

Bought this pair less than a year and it was fine during dry weather but as soon as it started raining forget it this pair did not live up to its name, Mailed it to Timberland warranty department since September and I still have not gotten a reply from them. Poor customer service. I would expect a little more from such a big company.
