The most comfortable hiking boots I have had. No break in period required, the boots were ready for the trail right out of the box. I absolutely would and will buy again.

Purchased 18 months ago. Shoes have held up. Waterproofing works well but the downside is the lack of ventilation.

I use this boot in a state park, lots of walking back and forth. Comfort is nice! I don't know how they are in the rain or wet conditions. Color hides the dirt that I walk through.
Rating 4 four because I don't no how long they will last before I need another pair.

These boots fit true to size and felt good on my feet from the first day I wore them. Would recommend these to anyone looking for an ankle high hiking style shoe.

I've bought several pairs of Timberland in the last 6 month online and offline. They are still durable and fit my needs very well - exactly like this pair does.
Why I put 4 star - because of production quality. Please refer to the attached photos From left side everything looks good, from the right side - poore quality.
I will fix these gaps myself, but this is not acceptable for the brand new boots.

I just brought a pair because the fit and the look was just what I wanted. Of course these are cheap shoes. Anything glued and not sewn is not going to last. That's the reason the best hiking from Europe are sewn and have replaceable soles. They are built to last. Where can you find them? No where. These are the best value for the money from the cheap junk sold in the land of the free. By the way, why can't the company tell you the country of origin before you buy. China is polluting the world. I'd rather buy products from any place except China.

Great boots, with one flaw. These are high quality boots at a very reasonable price. The leather is substantial but supple for new boots. It's a simple and classic hiker style. The sole is the grippiest I've seen on a hiking boot. They run very close to true size, perhaps slightly large in length and width, but since my hiking socks are thicker than my everyday socks, that works great. They were comfortable right out of the box, and I expect they would get even more so with use. The collar was well padded and shaped well for comfort around the ankle. The light brown color looked really good for hikers/work boots as well. But... I'm not keeping them. I really wanted to, but there is a seam that runs along the outer side of the boot right over the distal end of the fifth metatarsal - that knobby protruding bone that sticks out just below the little toe. If it was just a seam in the leather, I think it would soften over time and be fine. However, there is a rigid reinforcing piece sewn into the seam that is quite hard. You can feel it with your fingers from inside the boot. After wearing the boots just walking around the house for a half hour, I had a definite sore spot there. I think only one other reviewer mentioned this, so very likely it just has to do with an individual's specific anatomy. But still, the boots I ended up keeping had a seam also, but it was placed farther back on the boot and did not rub this sensitive area. Just something to be aware of when trying boots. If this seam doesn't press on the end of your metatarsal, these would awesome boots.

I've worn timberlands for years and they've all been great. These are my first wide and they feel great even with orthotics. I expect these to last years as my previous boots have. They are very comfortable.
