My husband has tried to wear this shoe numerous times. He has had bloody heels as the shoe is inflexible. He thought he could break them in but it seems impossible. These Brooks are no good.

Junk junk junk! I've only had these shoes for 4 months and one of the holes (forget the proper name) where the shoe lace goes through ripped out! Mind you, I only wore these shoes at work and sit most of the day with a few trips to the gym (light cardio). Absolute cheap junk and poor quality. 4 months and it's useless??? $150 down the drain just like that. Brooks really dropped the ball on this model of the Beast. I wish I could exchange them at least but really who can exchange "used" shoes? And it's only the right side foot. Never again.

These sizes are at least a full size too small. Ordered my size and a half size larger, returning both. I'm done, easier to go to store.

This is the third pair of Brooks Beast that I've owned. The previous two were easily the most comfortable and durable athletic shoes I've worn. These suffer from a slight redesign issue. The heel support rises up higher than previous models and I'm going through a rough break-in period. It's very firm and high up on the achilles tendon. I may need to take a razor blade to the heel support to make them wearable. The previous models required no break-in whatsoever. They were amazing right out of the box.

Nice for wearing but lousy quality of materials -mesh on top had hole within a few wearings. Pulls most socks off of your feet.

I have owned the shoes for 2 weeks and I dont feel they are as good as the last generation of the Beast. The last set were heavier, but had more support and corrected my step better.

I confirm that this year they are much more narrow than they have been in the past. I wore Beast11 4E and Beast14 4E that I ordered now are painfully tight. Have to return and look for other brands since there is no 6E width.

Brooks Beast was good until 12, after that become worse every year. I was one of Brooks Beast fan more than 12 years, but now for sure, I don't recommend to any one and I promise you threw away the money. Thank you for looking!

Brooks Beast 14 are not comfortable and they have to fix the problem. I have worn these shoes for over 10 years. This is first time that I have a lot of pain in my feet when walking more than 30 minutes.

Beware!!! These shoes I thought were perfect in every way possible. Great cushion, great motion control for over-pronators, and they work great with or without orthotics. Huge problem which was a deal breaker for me, after wearing only 4 times, on the treadmill no running at all, the eyelets on both were ripped through from the laces. For the price, you would think Brooks would put some reinforcement in the eyelets to prevent this or some heavy stitching. I cannot be the only one this has happened too, the shoe was hardly used, the workmanship is poor in this respect. Sad, because this shoe is perfect in every other way.

I have always loved my Brooks and have had Brooks since I found them in 2012. Sadly, their shoes implants fall apart soon. I have been told three months is normal wear for everyday shoes. I do not exercise. I use my shoes to get from my couch to my car, to work in a desk and back to the couch after. I have had to return other Brooks for this same issue. I will be returning these too.

Brooks has failed, this toe box is ridiculously small for a 4E - the shoe loses width at the pinky toe and crushes it - packaged poorly so the toe box is crushed when you remove it from the box. They have ruined the women's version of this shoe as well.

I have owned three previous pairs of Beast 12's (loved them) and could not wait to try the Beast 14's. What a disappointment. First of all they run at least a 1/2 size smaller that the 12's and the support level felt entirely different. I should point out that I wear a size 15 and have very flat feet so finding the right shoe is quite the challenge. The Beast 12's were it! After 3 months to trying to and get used to them I am giving up. My feet absolutely kill me after wearing these for even a half day. So... back to the experimental stage. Stuck with $300 (2 pair) of shoes I can't wear. My fault, should have returned them after a couple of weeks and not feeling comfortable. Very disappointed Brooks took a perfect great shoe and ruined it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Extremely disappointed with this model of Brooks Beast '14. I've owned previous models of Beast shoes and by far the quality on this newer model is more poor. I've only had the shoes for four months and and they're already ripping on the top near my pinky toe on both shoes. Seems like the material in that area is of poor quality. This is the first Brooks shoe I've ever owned that has done this. Unfortunately Beast is the only shoe I can wear to the arch support for my feet so that means I'll have to drop more money in less than 6 months. Very disappointed.

I have been wearing Brooks for more years than I can remember. This redesign is horrible. The toe box is shallow and less wide (even with extra wide shoes) and causes instep pain. Brooks design team - you messed up with this - rethink what you did!

At this price, these should've been the best running shoes I've ever owned. But size 13D (normally my size and width) is too tight in the toes and loose at the heel, even when tied tight. Returning and not bothering to re-order a wider shoe -- hitting an actual store today to try pairs on.

I have wide feet - and 99.9% of sneakers are NARROW. The Brooks Beast was the only one that worked for me, until this one, which is narrow even in XW. Seriously, Brooks - what were you thinking?
