I ordered the black in both a small and a medium. Medium was too big, small was little too small on the hips but since you can unzip from the bottom it gives me the little extra room I needed so I decided to keep the small.

I bough this for my mother. She loves the coat and the color. She didn't want anything black, instead wanted a more vibrant color, which this offered. The coat is very warm and completely water proof, so it's an all in on coat for everything she ever does. She loves it. Only down side is that there are only 2 pockets and they have small openings.

I like this jacket. It's very warm. Good color. Sometime it bunches around the face but overall great product

So glad I selected the red Tremaya. Always felt pretty and weather protected. It was an amazing trip, white Christmas and all. Never experienced the cold as I am from Miami. Thanks to proper clothing I was able to enjoy the walks through the woods, on the frozen lake, at the tree farm, in temperatures from 1-20 degrees in upstate NY. Also handled the rain and cold wind in NYC's parks and streets. Wear size 6-8, 135 lb. Bought M. Fits snug. Did not wear heavy layers. Movement not restricted. Comfortable. For bulky sweaters suggest size larger than normal. Giving this 4 instead of 5 because of zipper concerns though I managed fine. Also know this cost is bulky and heavy to carry when not wearing. Still loved it. One of best things is the magnetic closure. Sure makes dressing in the cold fast and easy

I bought this coat to keep me warm on blustery cold days. I like to wear sweaters under my coats, but not with this coat. I originally bought the small but it was tight! I am 5 foot 3, 115 lbs. How anyone's arms can fit into the small I have no idea. I am athletic but my upper body is thin (including my arms). The medium gave me more wiggle room - but not enough to fit a bulky sweater underneath it. LUCKILY the coat is super warm so I don't need the extra layer outside. I agree with other reviews that the zipper is sub-par. It has to plastic since there are magnet buttons. I love the magnet buttons except when I get stuck to metal things. The magnets let me easily close the coat without having to fumble with the zipper. I am gad there is a lifetime warrantee as the zipper will likely have to be replaced. TNF should rethink the zipper quality.

the jacket overall was a great purchase. I still did not test it in the very cold weather but so far it is warm and very stylish. I would suggest to get a size up, as I originally ordered size S online, but it was too tight and short on me. size M is fitting much better, even if there is still a bit of movement restriction, but I assume this is also because of the fitting style of the jacket.

This was an early Christmas gift. It's really warm, has many pockets for storing items, has a very nice magnets instead of snaps, and fits great.

I live in NYC and needed a stylish coat that was built to keep me warm as I commute to work and am often outside (no car). I was willing to invest in a good warm coat, but only if it wasn't dry clean only, had a bit of style and could actually get wet without damaging the overall longevity. I am a solid size 6, B cup and 5'4 and 140 pounds. I took a Medium in this coat, which is the same size I wear in my other NF jacket. I tend to not wear bulky sweaters ever--too much warmth on the subways under a thick coat makes me overheat--and wear thinner knit sweaters with layers. The coat felt tight at first, but has loosened up a bit and is very comfortable. I am in pretty good shape for my size, and am used to wearing more fitted clothing so the overall fit of the coat does not bother me. I can see why other reviewers comment on this--the coat is a bit heavy and a slimmer fit overall, which I love. The magnetic buttons are great, and I rarely use the zipper. It's great to open or close up the jacket when I need to, with little effort. I got the olive color, which is a much warmer and deeper color in person, and I am very happy with it. I wear it with a gauzy infinity scarf to keep the collar a bit away from my face, which is a stylish and practical solution. I researched a bunch of coats before pulling the trigger and am very happy with my purchase!

This coat is really warm, and the material on the shell is great. The shell material seems much thicker and durable than some of the other similar coats from TNG (arctic down, etc). I also like that it is slightly longer. It is quite heavy, and if there was a way to lighten it, that would make this coat even better. Finally--and this is a big one--I wish it came in better colors. I don't really care for any of the limited colors that are offered, and wish there was a more feminine color available--navy blue, or purple....

Great coat. Very warm and stylish but they have definitely made their sizes smaller. I had an arctic parka in the 2X and it fit perfectly. I could even fit snow pants underneath. Don't think I'll have room under the Tremaya in the 2X to wear a sweater if needed.

I bought this on sale during the holidays and I love it. I wanted a longer length winter coat with a hood and this fits the bill. Love the pockets and double zipper but the only thing I disliked is the sizing. Based on The North Face size chart I was a medium. I even have other jackets from North Face that are a medium. But this coat was way to snug, especially in the shoulder area. I ended up with a large and it fits way better. Im 5' 5", bust measures 37" and the large fits comfortably well although I do feel like the shoulders are more narrow than most.

Needed a very warm, long parka for walking the dog. This winter looking to be cold. My husband bought me the parka in a medium as usual size for me (5'4", 130 lbs), but felt too restrictive in the shoulders, had a hard time raising my arms up. The rest of the sizing was fine, but for how expensive this coat is, I want 100% comfort, warmth, and style. Went up to a large and felt way better. Tested it out this morning with wind chill around -27 C and was perfectly comfortable.

Really like the fit and look of this jacket. I was sick of always being freezing in the winter so I decided to splurge and get a nice North Face. It's worth it! The only problem I am having with it is the zipper being finicky? Maybe it's just mine, and not a deal breaker, just sort of annoying having to take an extra min to zip my jacket up.

This coat is beautiful! I really, really wanted to love it. It really looks and feels like a warm, well made coat! It's just too tight. I even ordered a size up and the shoulders/sleeves are super tight. The sleeves weren't long enough either, and I'm only 5'4".

I purchased this parka very recently, so I cannot say how it performs, but I will say I am 5 10, and quite slim, and that I got size M and had to exchange it for a size S, which is surprinsing because I had always been an M in North Face jackets (but again, I am quite thin, so this might not apply to you) I would say the sleeve length is OK, but just OK, I wish the sleeves were longer, but that's my doom, no sleeve is ever alright for my arm length. So far the parka seems nice and well-made, but the weather's not been as cold as it normally gets here, so I will be back with more comments :)

This is a great coat but not true to size. I traveled to a different state to try it on but it was not carried in the Northface stores. I'm going to reorder an XXL which I have never had to do but the coat is just too nice to give up on.

Perfect for cold winter weather in New England. I normally wear a small. It had to size up to a M in this. Still a good fit.

Jacket is really cute and great quality. Love the magnet buttons/snags that cover the zipper. The only problem is that it is way small. The "built in mittens" made my hands little stumps that I couldn't move and overall the sleeves were way too short.

I live in Newfoundland, Canada, an island in the North Atlantic. Winter lasts 6 months out of the year and goes from wind chills of -30C to 0C and rain. This parka was great and suitable for all conditions. I stayed warm and dry. I did find that it wasn't breathable, and I was easily overheated when the temperature was above -5C. However, I was thou roughly pleased when the conditions were cold and the length was great to keep the wind off my back.

I've had this coat for a year now and wanted to reflect on its function against Canadian cold weather. In my experience, this jacket can withstand temperatures dropping as low as -15 degrees Celsius with windchill up to -30. (Canada has had days as frigid as -20 without windchill, and by then, you need to layer with heat-tech undershirts.) I do wear two layers underneath on these -15 degree occasions, which includes a thick sweater and a cardigan on top. I notice that my torso is always toasty regardless what I wear, but I mostly layer to retain heat in my arms. If you're looking to only wear thin material during extreme cold weather, then this jacket isn't for you. The Canada Goose may match your needs except I was told that those jackets are recommended for humidity/moisture-free weather; such is not the case in Canada (or at least in Ontario where I'm from). While I wish the Tremaya had greater down in the arm area, I read the same issue for more expensive coats like the Nobis and Goose, as the down isn't as evenly distributed throughout the arms as it is in the torso. Perhaps this is something manufacturers could look into for the next iterations of coats in the future. (Seriously, I don't care how bulky it'd make me look - just keep me and my arms warm!) For what it's worth, though, I can't complain much. The hood is large enough that it blocks out the wind, and I never feel the wind slip through my jacket thanks to the magnetic closures and tight fleece sleeves. My Tremaya keeps me very dry in wet snow (infamous Canadian weather), thus retaining warmth in the jacket's down. I also get a lot of compliments for looking sleek in it.
