This is a very warm, very stylish winter coat. I know I can wear it in a snowstorm in Montana, a freezing rain in NYC or a cold blustery day in New England and I will be toasty warm AND completely dry. This coat looks great on. The waist can be cinched in to show off my figure. It has many pockets. There is a place for everything. Zippers run smooth and it's guaranteed for life by North Face. How can I go wrong?!

For anyone who resides in Canada or elsewhere that receives a lot of wet snow and hail: Don't bother spending $700 for a Goose. The Tremaya Parka will do for you what the Goose can't in spite of its hefty price tag: Keep your down insulation very warm and dry. I hardly write reviews, but I've been so impressed with how the Tremaya Park's held up with -12 degree Celsius weather (-20 with wind chill). I don't even need a scarf since the jacket zips up to my chin without adding discomfort. I should also note that I'm slightly anemic and struggle with findings coats remotely adequate in providing enough warmth. (The Goose is only recommended if you live in areas in which moisture and humidity don't exist.) I'M FINALLY WARM FOR ONCE. The magnetic buttons are a win, as they greatly help in retaining warmth according to my findings on the internet (lol). The tight, fleece sleeves stretching past the jacket's cuffs are key in preserving heat as well. The Tremaya's also a heck lot better looking than the Goose. Its fitted silhouette and waterproof material create a very sleek-looking parka that melds function with fashion almost perfectly. Just invest in this piece. You seriously won't regret it.

4.5 stars but I gave it a 5 as I can work around it's only con. I love this coat! Pros: I actually wore this on a snowmobile and it was warm and windproof. I have also worn it walking while it was snowing heavily and never felt chilled or damp. Last night it was -12 and I was out with the dogs for approximately 20 min and never got cold. I love the two way zipper for versatility and comfort while driving. The hand covers in the sleeves are great! I get lots of comments on how pretty the coat is both with and without the hood. The hood has an adjustment on the back if it's falling too far forward. I set mine to the tightest setting and it's perfect. The magnetic snaps are perfect, no lost buttons and they close themselves. Length: I wanted a longer coat for walking my dogs in the snow. The length is perfect for keeping out the wind and cold on my upper legs while walking. Cons: Sizing - The sizing tool told me to order a medium, after reading reviews I ordered a large - (I am 5'7" 130 lbs and curvy in the bust and hips area). It is tight across my shoulders, snug but not tight in the bust and quite large in the hip and leg area. Due to the shoulders it would be difficult to wear any bulky layers.

This coat is amazing! Not only is it full of warmth and protection from the all of the outside elements, but it is the most stylish jacket I ever saw. Full of the cutest details that not only give this coat the "wow" factor, but also have a great purpose too. I love the fact that after you zip this coat up it has very strong magnetic snaps that close all by them selves. After just having hand surgery that helps me a lot. The sleeve snap down detail along with the pull down extra hand/wrist coverage assure that no cold air will ever get up your sleeve. The sleeve pull down is also a safe guard just in case you ever find yourself without your gloves. The extra chest hand warming pockets, the great waist snaps all give you a great shape and stylish detail in this very warm jacket. For me one of the best features is that it is rain proof too, no need to worry about the weather in this jacket!!! Thank you North Face for making the Tremaya Parka, a jacket for life!

My husband bought this coat for me and I loved it so much I bought it for my daughter. We are avid Football Fanatics and it keeps us very warm during all those Giant Tailgaiting Events. In addition it is a great coat for all of the inclement weather we have in the Northeast. Love the Coat

I love this parka! It's cozy, wind resistant and has already kept me warm in Toronto's early blast of negative temperatures. I'm even finding myself excited to go outside because I know I'll be protected from the harsh elements! I am 5 '6 and a half, 135lbs and I debated forever between the small and the medium, as they both technically fit. I was worried that the small felt 'snug', the way a new pair of running shoes feel when you first put them on, but after a while the down just 'molded' to my body and now every time I snap those magnetic buttons it's like getting a warm hug from North Face! I love the red colour and even ordered the Cable Knit Mitt and Cable Minna Beanie in vintage white to complete the look. Also, a big thank you to the Toronto Yorkville North Face store for being so friendly and helping me find the perfect winter coat for years to come!

Northface's Women's Tremaya Parka is amazing! I have only wore it two days now and am a huge fan. It has been very cold in WI already and this coat has kept me so warm. The hood definitely helps brace the wind on your face and it is very comfortable. Five stars from me!

I had been regretting this purchase just because of the price tag but it is beautiful. Warm and stylish I am 5'1 112lbs and the extra small fits like a glove. Well-built I couldn't wait to wear it today in the 10 degree weather and I didn't feel any sort of wind or cold wherever the coat covered me. The mittens are helpful and the magnetic closure is awesome!! I love my very expensive parka!! Lol I also love all of the pockets.

TNF does not temperature-rate their outerwear so I had no idea whether or not this parka would be warm enough for northern Ontario, but it kept me comfortable even down to -40. I was also considering a similar parka from Canada Goose, who does temperature rate, but I've always done well by TNF and decided to take a $500 chance. I love the magnetic buttons, as I don't have to fumble with snapping them with two layers of gloves on. Very windproof, and the hood is protective and well-articulated so I can turn my head and still keep warm. I bought last year's version and I see that two of my quibbles with my coat have been addressed in this year's model. First, there are now "huddle" pockets at chest height, which mine is sorely lacking, and the external belt will do a better job keeping out gusts than the internal belt I have in my coat. If I were buying this coat today, I think I would be even happier with it than I am with last year's version, which is saying something. This is not an athletic coat and you will not be happy if you go out snowshoeing in this, but for commuting or going outside in the bitter cold, it's an excellent coat. And the red is very cheerful!

This coat is exactly what I want: very warm and stylish. I especially love the waterproof shell and magnetic buttons, which make it perfect for the winter and will keep you dry as well as warm. This coat is worth the money and I am so pleased with it.

I had gotten this parka for birthday end of December 2013. This was best gift I have ever gotten. I live in Winnipeg, MB, we had the coldest winter this past winter which also gave best testing results. We had over 3 months of over -30 C temperatures and I didn't feel cold wherever jacket covered me. It is wind proof, water resistant and vary stylish parka. I recommend this jacket over and over again. The only thing I was sad about that navy blue was discontinued when I got mine, I still like red but color doesn't matter as much as quality and warmth of this parka.

Super warm coat! I purchased this coat to wear during winter carnival in Quebec. It performed wonderfully - it was even too warm at times when we were walking a lot. The only disappointment with this coat is there is not a zip close vent in the bottom back. This would have been a nice feature during periods of activity.

I love the look of this jacket. I've already received multiple praises about it being stylish. However, it doesn't keep me as warm as I would like, especially for those cold winter nights. I also wish they added thumb holes in the inner liner for my hands and a warmer liner for the pockets. Besides that, it's a great overall jacket.

I love this jacket! I live in ND and we've had temperatures as low as minus 20 this year. The best part is the magnetic closures/snaps. The hood is great, as it can be adjusted. The only criticism I have is that I'm 5'4 and weigh 120 pounds and had to get the large size. I could have bought the medium, but I wouldn't be able to wear more than a thin sweater underneath it. Otherwise I would have given in five stars overall.

Overall: I purchased this coat three weeks ago, and I thought I would "break it in" a bit before I decided to write a review. First, I'll start by saying I really love this coat. I got the "Rosin Green" in a size M. I'm 5'11 with a slim build. The medium is roomy in the waist, but I like the adjustable strap on the side. It pulls everything in, and you don't look like you're wearing this big heavy coat that does nothing for your shape or body. Arms: As I mentioned, I am tall with a slim build. The outer arm just about fits me, but the built in glove, lol, if I can even call it that, forget it. It pretty much just acts as an inner shield that protects my wrists and arms from getting cold. I really wish they would have added a thumb hole or something, because even if the glove feature was long enough, I don't know that I would have used it all that much Hood: I like the hood, but I wish the outer fur lining was fuller. Length: The length is good. I was worried it would be short for me, given my height, but its perfect. Pockets: The two side pockets at the front is probably the most disappointing thing about this coat. The zipper opening is waaaaay too small. The depth is good, but the opening is just annoying to access at times. Front Zipper: I haven't had any issues with the zipper so far, and I really like the magnetic closure feature. This is the warmest, most expensive coat I have ever purchased. Overall I am happy with my purchase, but there are some design changes that can be made by NF to make it even better.
