I have other shoes but these are my favorite. I can tell the difference in the quality of the leather and craftsmanship. Very comfortable and run true to size. Definitely recommend these shoes. These were my first Allen Edmonds and will definitely be buying more pairs.

A beautiful and classic shoe. I have a hard to fit foot with wide toes and high instep, long heel ball and short heel toe. It's hard to get a balmoral to fit and these fit like a glove. The 65 last has a lot of toe box room but the lower cone makes it a little narrow on the big toe size of the foot. Recommend y'all check out the 108 or 201 lasts if you have a foot like mine.

These are my fourth pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. I wear them almost everyday to work. They are very comfortable and have held up well. Allen Edmonds shoes are the best in my book.

Picked up the walnut recently from Rich in the San Francisco Embarcadero store. Wear them once a week with blue suit and matching belt . These are quickly replacing my loafers on the weekend with jeans. Clean lines, no uneccessary adornments, makes a statement without trying.

High quality craftsmanship. Very comfortable on first wear. Great looking shoe for the office and business casual wear.

The Carlyle is a classic looking design that is perfect for any occasion that requires a suit. The fit is slightly different from the Park Avenue. The cut of the shoe around the ankle is different. Thus, I suggest trying them on before buying. The Carlyle is a great shoe, and a timeless design.

I got a pair of these in bourbon about a year ago for my wedding an I've been very happy with them. The plain toe design really makes this shoe stand out; for better or worse, most dress shoes out there have a cap toe, a medallion, or some other embellishment. The subtle change on these, generally viewed as a more formal shoe, makes them stand out without being loud. They are great for suits and dress pants, but I wouldn't wear them casually.

Very durable shoe. Has worn well for the first ~50 days of use with minimal scuffing. Good support, and runs true to size.

I have the Carlyle in oxblood and, like all the Allen Edmonds shoes I have purchased over the last 27 years or so, it fit perfectly from the first wearing and is a beautifully-crafted piece of footwear. Clean lines and limited detailing make it a good all-around shoe, suited for dressing up or dressing down.

Comfortable, looks good, can wear with a variety of styles and for a variety of occasions.

I currently have the Carlyle in black, and will most likely order at least another pair in another color. The shoes are very comfortable (fitting my feet like a custom glove), and are equally at home matched with my business suits and more formal tuxedo. Their sleek and uninterrupted streamline contours compliment my overall head-to-toe appearance with just the right amount of subtle modernity. Having just returned to the U.S. after spending eleven years in Great Britain, I can also add with some authority that the Carlyle would be the PERFECT shoe for Commander James Bond to wear with his Royal Navy officer's uniform (or Savile Row bespoke suits).

I was looking forward to these shoes arriving and they did not disappoint. They look great and I wore them comfortably the first day - they always break in so well.

The Carlyle in walnut are absolutely beautiful. I had to buy them once I saw them in person. I receive compliments every time I wear them. And they are my most comfortable pair of Allen Edmonds. Highly recommended!

I wanted a "classic" look in a dress shoe with a lighter shade so I went with the Carlyle in walnut. I own multiple AE shoes and know their quality and this one is no different. Fit, comfort and style are all top shelf.

This was my second pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. My first was a graduation gift from a family member. I have had that pair for over 12 years and only required one sole replacement from wear. This is my second pair and I couldn't be happier. The immediate feel of comfort you get when wearing properly made leather shoes is indescribable. No blisters, no discomfort. They fit like you've been wearing them for years but show the perfection of what a new pair of shoes looks and feels like. I have recommended all of my professional friends to wear AE.

Shoes are high quality and have an excellent, simple look. Look good with dress pants or jeans.

These Oxfords were a gift for my son who was just about to graduate from college. He needed a pair of shoes for an interview at graduate school, and his sneakers wouldn't have made much of an impression. These shoes are absolutely beautiful. The quality of the leather and the craftsmanship are superb. I grew up in my grandfather's shoe shop. Trust me. You won't find a finer shoe than these Allen Edmonds.

I ordered these shoes online. They arrived in a timely manner. They looked like the ones in the photos, but they were a bit longer than my other size 10 dress shoes, and didn't have quite the same fit. I have not worn them yet. I'm considering going to a retail store with them and seeing if I should be in a different size or width.

Bought the shoes around three months ago and wear five days a week. The color stands out, the shoes are breaking in nicely and the leather is aging beautifully. On a side note, I had to exchange the shoes through mail multiple times in order to get the right fit and the customer service was high quality.

I ordered the wrong size (9 instead of 8.5) as these fit a little bigger than most shoes I have had in the past. The customer service was impeccable and found me a shoe my size within a one-day notice and covered for shipping charges. I can't be more thankful to their team since it was for my wedding overseas. I couldn't have made a better decision. They were so comfortable that it did not feel like I was wearing dress shoes. The only reason I am taking away a star in quality is, after my trip, I have noticed the leather on one of my shoes has a spot that is deteriorated. I have got in contact with the store I bought it from through email and I am sure I will hear back soon enough. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone who wants class with comfort.
