I like the cut and fit of this jacket but if you're looking for a fleece that is closed off to wind then look elsewhere. I don't know if it's the intended property of the fabric weave but it lets even a gently breeze through. In some circumstances this could be beneficial so just be aware of this if you want it as a feature of your fleece. It makes it difficult to recommend honestly as if you wanted to really make use of it in slightly wet and windy conditions you definitely would need a waterproof shell and not rely on it to keep out even the smallest breeze or dampness.

I really like the covert cardigan jacket I purchased in 2014. Fabric and fit was excellent. The cut was perfect in allowing free movement, but still being trim and not baggy. I don't have big biceps, but the design of the 2015/16 product changed slightly and the upper arms are simply too tight. I don't know why Arcteryx did this, but I had to return the jacket because it was simply not as comfortable as the 2014 model.

The previous similar product I bought (2011) was better made. I appreciated the lycra part at the end of sleeves. This is a good product but frankly speaking neck too tight: it is impossible to close. it fit -3 cm in comparison with the previous. 4 stitches also not so well done. What i mean: it is a little "cheap" figuring product considering your brand positioning and the use which is urban style and so to be used in offices etc.

I just wore my jacket for the first time and it was around 25 degrees. A slite breeze and the air just went through the arms but the torso felt ok. Definitely not ment to be warn alone. Good quality, looks great! I will throw on a shell plus this and see how it keeps me warm.

A decent looking everyday-use fleee. Great warmth for everyday use, for hiking I prefer a fleece like Delta SV jacket. The quality 5 years ago just seemed better. Now the material looks abused after a few months. The sleeve length is also very short. (The Caliber Cardigan fits much better in my opinion)

The fit is terrible. I'm 5'5" and 130 lbs(size 6).I ordered the medium. The armpit and sleeves are too tight and the body is too big and wide. I can't even fit the Rho zip lightweight base layer underneath comfortably. My other items are a size medium (in a base layer and vest) and are a bit roomy on me. What is going on with the designers??

Lovely sweater that I was looking forward to wear but the sleeves are way too tight! I'm looking for COMFORT in a fleece jacket, and this was extremely uncomfortable to wear. The sweater is truly so beautiful and I love the colors, but unfortunately, I had to return.

The Arc'teryx Covert 'lightweight'' jacket is not a well designed jacket . Your arms do not slide into this jacket easily if you are wearing a long sleeve cotton t shirt. This jacket is 100% synthetic making it really hot and not at all cool even if it is lightweight. If you are going to wear a synthetic t shirt underneath this jacket you will overheat and be very uncomfortable because your body will not be able to breath from all the synthetic fibers of the t shirt and jacket. The 100% polyester fabric is not smooth it is rough on the skin, if you have sensitive skin this jacket is not for you. I thought polyester would be smooth and gentle on my skin it is not. Since this jacket is so hot to wear, it needs under arm vents/zippers to keep the wearer's body cool. Also, I am small in size but have long arms yet the arms on this jacket are much longer than needed for a size medium. I measured my bust as 35 inches. According to your size chart a 35 is a medium, I bought 2 of these jackets in different colors both size medium, they are too large. I am a caregiver to my 93 year old father, I am too busy and tired to start a return request authorization on both therefore, I am stuck with two scratchy, too hot and too large, covert jackets.

This is my third covert (cardigan + 1/4 zip) purchased recently. Love the new style; a little more roomier that allows for better movement and supports different base layers. Quality and warmth are 5/5. Always order M, inspire of being 5'4" and an athletic shape. Excellent coverage. Use mainly hiking and around town.

Nice fit, looks good, but the excessive piling is a deal breaker for me. After a couple of wears it looks very cheap. Unacceptable for that price and for sporting the Arc'teryx logo.

Very good mid layer / casual outdoor fleece jacket. Fits very well and has reasonable warmth. My major issue is the pilling that occurs all around (arms, back, front). After 2-3 months of wear (no washing), I'm a bit embarrassed to wear this as a casual outer layer (still perfectly fine as a mid layer).

I will be echoing most other reviewers on this product -- this jacket pills like crazy after only a few wears. It would be a great jacket, but the pilling is significant and makes it unsightly to wear out in public. I would also like to make other potential buyers aware that I opened a product service request for this jacket, and I was told that it is not covered under Arcteryx warranty, and that this appearance is normal and to be expected. Ridiculous considering the price.

I own three of these and they are durable, warm and fit great. Issue is the zipper gets stuck on the small flap at the chin, making it difficult to zip completely.

I have an old one of these from a few years ago that fits me perfectly, which is incredibly hard to find so I thought I'd buy another one. However I was told that the fitting has been updated and now the same size is far too big, and the smaller size has too short of arms. I'm disappointed, Arc'teryx is usually my go to for well fitted clothes. Other than that, I'm sure it's a great sweater, but I'll never know because of the now poor fit.

Like many of the other reviews mentioned before me, this sweater jacket piles quite a bit. I'm not sure if it's the revised model or an existing issue. Upon my first wash it was somewhat noticeable and each wash after only made it worse. I've begun to mitigate this by washing the jacket inside out. Also worrying is that the fabric near my elbows seems to be wearing out from leaning on my desk after only a month of use. That being said, it feels fantastic and far better than say, the Patagonia equivalent, which is why it's disappointing that the exterior fabric isn't holding up that well. If I were able to go back, I'd purchase something else from the ArcTeryx inventory instead.

I loved this jacket. I am a smaller guy and I was so happy to have a found this handsome jacket that comes in XS -- Then after wearing it for a few weeks in the shoulder season and it started to pill quite terribly. I pretty disappointed because I was so happy to have found this jacket (it breathes well, feels amazing and has great design lines) but now I am disapointed because the pilling is so bad I don't wear it anymore. I have other sweaters that are much cheaper that have held up much better to pilling.

I have been collecting Arcteryx Covert Jackets & Hoodys for several years now. Each year I look forward to adding more colors to my wardrobe, however, this year unfortunately the new colors are not to my taste. The Sedna Heather & Arbour Heather in particular are too dull and I already have the other colors. I don't understand why the Men's covert always have these amazing colors and the women's are either way too bright or too dull! I loved last year's Men's Covert Jacket Yukon & Arun colors. I wished the Yukon was especially brought in for the Women's as well, but instead this year unfortunately I will not be buying any. Please Arcteryx bring more fun colors to the women's covert jackets & hoodys. Women love these as much as Men and we deserve more fun colors! Would love to see a Hoody in particular in the Yukon color, as well as light baby blue, heather yellow & heather green! Also, this year's Jacket & Hoody has a strange fit. I am a normal Size 8-10 & Medium in other clothes but for this brand, I always buy a Large and the fit is amazing, however, I purchased the Crystalline Heather and had to return because the color is not a light lavender as originally pictured (more grey) and it was very loose & longer then all the others purchased previously.

I'm a Arcteryx loyal customer. I bought the black color a few weeks ago. I only worn one day for a local hiking. after one washing, it had so many pills and lint roller did not help at all. The material has something wrong with it. May be different color would not show these pills.

Ordered this in size small which is my usual size in all top items. However, the new fit is really weird. The shoulder section is perfect, the arms are very tight and the stomach is very large. I know they wanted to make a more modern cut for the covert, but this is not flattering at all and not oversized in the trending way. I was looking forward to replace my covert cardigan that I had lost, but I am now a bit confused as to how to replace it now that the fit has changed and does not suit me at all.

My most beloved item of clothing for many, many years. Now ruined. I believe I have about ten of this formerly perfect cardigan. The new fit is horrible. Boxy, unattractive, too short, and - worst of all - the sleeves are so tight it is impossible to where anything underneath the cardigan. Sorry, but you have lost one of your most faithful costumers.

This was my favourite fleece but the zipper broke-it just fell apart. The fleece itself is in perfect condition but is useless without a zipper. This is an expensive fleece to have the zipper malfunction.
