These boots are beautiful. I bought them the this fall and got a ton of wear out of them during fall, winter, and spring. They are extremely comfortable and have worn really well. They are expensive but worth the price, I would highly recommend them.

I love these boots. I have muscular calves from running, and these are roomy enough to give me lots of room around the leg in the boots to make my legs look skinnier. They're a little narrow in the foot, so if you order your true size, don't plan on wearing a thick sock. If you have wide feet, I would recommend sizing up.

I will start off saying I'm a valued Vip Zappos member for life. I love shoes and these are my 3rd pair of Sam Edelman Boots and I just love the fit the style and they work for me. I wear them with skirts, dresses and leggings and skinny jeans.

Love the boots. Fit for a wide calf is excellent. Went up a half size as others suggested and it was perfect. I've gotten lots of great comments. Can't wait till I can afford the brown ones too!

Very happy with this purchase! Leather is soft - great quality and style. Fit as expected according to other reviews on my hard to fit/athletic 16 inch calves. Can wear these with leggings or skinny jeans easily. I think they would work well for anyone with calves between 15.5 - 16.5 inches, but everyone is different. Worth a shot if you've been trying to find a leather boot with a wider shaft. Glad I tried - definitely keeping and will consider future Sam Edelman purchases.

I love these boots. I purchased them last year and wore them all winter, I purchased a second pair last December, and just purchased a third pair from Zappos as a back up. They do not last forever, maybe three months, but I wear them everyday. With leggings and oversized sweaters on the weekend, and suits and skirts on the weekdays for work. I cannot say enough good things about them. It is hard for me to find boots that fit my calves the very first time I put them on, and these fit perfectly.

This was my first pair of Sam Edelman boots...I simply love them! The are extremely comfortable and are 'the real' wide calf boots! I've always been skeptical about ordering boots online but these were perfect for my 17.5 inch calves. I will definitely purchase another pair.

Wow, they weren't kidding about wide calf. It has a zipper on the back and I didn't need to use it. That being said, BEAUTIFUL boot. feels like butter in my hand. But needed to return for the regular version.

Finally, a sleek wide calf boot with a fitted ankle; it's not just big everywhere. So happy with this purchase! Very impressed with the softness and shine of the leather.

I love these! My calves are large but my ankles are not and its hard to find boots that feel great all over but these really do. I also wanted a boot that I could wear all day and these I hate taking off.

I searched high & low for a pair of boots like these. They are awesome! The minute I put them on I was in love! Comfortable, good looking, wearable with leggings, jeggings so, or jeans. Many compliments!

I freaking love these boots. I have larger calves and they fit perfectly. I even have room for jeans! Runs true to size. Will need to add cushion insert if you plan to wear them all day long, though. Very classy and looks expensive.

First of all, I searched everywhere for boots that I loved and that weren't extremely pricey. This was no easy task. I personally wanted to strap around the ankle. I wanted it open like this style. I looked at Frye, among others and then came to these. I made sure to read all the reviews that I possibly could. I am so pleased with my purchase! The boots are perfect. They are exactly like you see in the images. I typically wear a size 9 1/2 in regular shoes and 10 in boots. This is due to my calves being muscular/fat...whatever. They measure at a 16". I ordered the 9 1/2 in wide calf and the first time I put them on the feet did fit a little narrow but after a couple days of wearing them, that took care of any discomfort. The weekend I received them I wore to a FSU football game...we parked and had to walk about a half a mile to the stadium. They are super comfortable. I am not kidding. Then it rained the whole day and my boots actually got wet. They are leather so they were fine but to my surprise my feet still remained dry and warm on the outside. By now, I have had these boots for about a month and a half and I still love them. I wanted boots that were going to last, decently priced and they go with everything! I get so many compliments on them! I'm sure as you can tell by reading the other reviews this boot really comes out on top and comparable to other brands. This was my first purchase with Zappos as well and they were easy and the boots came within a couple days for no cost at all!

Classic riding boot style with sliming lines and excellent calf width. Easy to tuck in jeans with back zipper. Immediately comfortable. Love these boots, exactly what I wanted.

Love these boots! I've tried on several pairs of wide calf boots and most were too tight to zip, but these fit perfectly. They're so comfortable and look great! I will say the M is a bit narrow, but I think the W would be too wide. I think the leather will stretch out a bit as I wear them. Highly recommend these boots!

I just got these boots for the winter and really love them! I am 5'2" and have always had trouble finding taller boots that fit well, and these are perfect. I usually wear a size 7-7.5 in most shoes, but got the size 8 in this boot to give a little more room for wearing thick socks and tights. I am glad that I did, the extra space in the foot allows for layering for the winter without feeling too tight. They also zip up fine over jeans. I got the boot in whiskey and it is a great color, goes with everything. Beautiful and very well made boot!

Very stylish and cute boots. Wide calf is perfect in my opinion - wide enough to wear over a pair of jeans and if over leggings then I can wear cute boot socks. Love them!

This boot is beautiful! Purchased the whiskey color. Such a nice color! The wide calf is perfect (I've got 16 1/2" calves). True to size. No breaking in needed, wore beautifully the first day, all day! Couldn't be happier with this purchase! Kudos to Sam Edelman for a "true" wide shaft and for making their normal tall boots available in the same style with a large calf option! And of course Zappos for their awesome service!

I tried on a lot of wide calf boots and I loved these from Sam Eledman! They have the same look as the regular size boots and do not gap at the ankle.

These boots are great. Top quality, great fit. These go great with the rest of my dominatrix gear.
