These are beautiful boots. I love the style and that even though they are wide calf, they don't look it. I normally size up by 1/2 with boots, but I found those to be far too large. After one day of walking around, my one foot felt a bit pinched, so I wouldn't walk long distances in these.

Had to purchase the wide calf since my leg is still swollen from knee replacement surgery! I love these boots..so comfortable. My foot tends toward a narrow(or it used to when younger) so I got the med width. They are perfect in every way. The calf measurement is closer to 17" than 16". I bought the black and whiskey and wish I hey had the gray in wide calf too! As always, Zappos was sure to get them to me overnight!

Best boots ever! I've also had these in brown for over a year and they are still the perfect boots. No wear in the heels, soft and comfortable for walking around all day! Love them, and as always, excellent Zappos service.

Love these boots! I have a 17" calf and these fit comfortably all day! They are quite stylish and I plan to buy another pair in a different color. I have been trying to find a comfortable, stylish boot for years that fits without having to force the zipper up. I am 5'9" with athletic calves and these work - and the price is doable.

Great boot! I was a bit skeptical of buying at first because I am a curvy 5'3, 200Plus lb woman with large calves, but to my surprise they fit, are comfortable, stylish and are of great quality! Thanks Zappos.

I usually wear a 10-10.5 depending on style/brand.I have 17" calves...one slightly smaller than other and average width feet. I've NEVER found a pair of tall boots that fit my calves comfortably without looking restrictive at top. I ordered a 10.5 wide calf in these. These were perfectly comfortable with thin socks with room to wear thicker ones if I want. I love that the ankles are nice and slim fitting. What baffles me is that there are gaps at the top...so i'm guessing the circumference of these boots are closer to 18. I can't decide if I should try the regular calf ones. I'm used to such a snug fit with my boots, I don't know if it's a good thing or not I can fit my fingers in there after being zipped up. Not sure what I'll do. But I love them!

I love these boots. The fit i s slightly narrow on the foot. I have very athletic calves and the top of the boot fits loosly. There is plenty of room for leggings or jeans. I love the color of them as well.

This is one of the most stylish and elegant boots available, particularly in a wide calf. The heal aligned zipper almost disappears when closed, and the zipper clasp is more of an an accent. The whiskey color is deep and rich, particularly owing to Sam Edelman still using full grain leather when many other names have gone to less quality leather while charging substantially more. These boots will last indefinitely and never go out of style. Whether you are a value conscious consumer or not (and I am) these boots have it all going for them.

I love these boots, they are really beautiful leather and the toe/heel are not as dark as pictured. They do run a bit narrow though, so even though I went a half size up, I still feel like I have to stretch them out more.

These are the best boots I've ever owned. I bought the been pair last year and they are extremely comfortable; I actually did a 5 mile hike in them without issue. I love these boots so much I bought the black as well. They are fabulous for fluffy girls with larger calves. The fit is amazing. I do wear a 7 1/2 typically and bought an 8 in these.

I adore these boots! My friend had some, I tried them on and fell in love so I had to order my own! The leather is very soft. The upper calf is actually wide, good for jeans. The lower calf is not as wide but does work. There is a tiny bit of extra room at the heel but this is usually not noticeable with thicker socks. I think a half size down would have been too small overall. I got an 8 and am usually a 7½-8. I debated getting some Fryes but could not dive in due to price, these are much more reasonable and I am thrilled with them!

I ordered a regular size 8. That was too small in the calf I can usually fit in regular boots. I had to order wide calf and size 9. The 8 was snug but the 9 fit great. I love the boots. These are very classy boots that are comfortable.

I'd been failing at rationalizing the cost of a Frye boot and searching for a nice, classic riding boot for months. Im so glad I found this boot! In fact I like it so much I bought a second pair! Yes, they are narrow, but friends, leather stretches. It took me about a week of wear, but worth it. The leather is supple and look is classic. Im 5'4 and have athletic calves (15 3/4-16 in) and these are perfect for me. No calf bulge, no weird, extended calf gaping.

These are great winter boots, the olive/grey color goes with almost everything. They are a bit narrow, and the first time I wore them they felt very snug, but after a few wears they were great.

I decided to order half a size larger since I usually like to wear my boots with thicker socks. I am very glad that I did. They felt very snug in the foot bed when I first put them on and I probably could have gone a full size larger. The leather is so soft and supple that they stretched just enough and now feel great, but I still cannot wear too thick socks with them. There was very little to no break in period at all for these boots and were easy to slip on with the back zipper, even with my high instep. They are very classic and stylish and I have no issue walking in these all day. I am also glad that I went with the wide calf because I enjoy they way they look with a little extra room. My only issue with these boots is that the leather is so soft, I worry about scuffing them because I have a tendency to be hard on shoes. Overall, I am very happy with these boots and as long as the leather holds up, I will wear them for a long time to come.

These boots are as pretty as the picture, the color and style is what you see. Most wide calf boots that I have purchased several, are tight calf boots. These boots fit my 16" calves with jeans inside easy, no struggle. Size 9 not short at all, roomy toe bed but a little tight across the instep, loosens some with time and the next size would definitely be to big. I really enjoy wearing these boots we look good together.

It's been hard to find a wide calf boot that didn't make me look like I had cankles. These are it. Love them. The leather is so soft!

What a great boot! I've already been wearing the boots and love them. I have small ankles and wide calf and these books fit perfect. They aren't too big all over they actually are fitted at the ankle and fit my calf nicely with room to spare- I've also been able to wear these boots over jeans comfortably which will be great when it gets colder. I love the look and the leather is so soft! These are a seriously great find!!

I love these boots!! Last year I bought them in brown so this year I had to have them in black. The wide calf is awesome. I have plenty of room for leggings or skinny jeans and even a boot sock if I wanted.

I love this boot. I really do. I have a very tiny foot 4.5 and apparently enormous calves. I dance a lot and like to eat hamburgers. These boots were tight and difficult to zip. However I managed to zip them up. I do believe they will stretch with wear. The footbed is very narrow. I didn't have an issue with the width but I can understand how others would find it too narrow. These boots are beautiful I plan on ordering the whiskey color as well!

I am a dancer with 16" calves. This is truly the first ever pair of boots that fit. As in, I could get the zipper up over the bottom part of my calf (some "wide" boots are too narrow at the bottom part of the calf), and all the way to the top without any problem. Usually, I have got the zipper in a death grip, trying to get it up over my calf - I have actually got a teeny tiny bit of extra room. It does flare out a bit at the top. They can be bought in W, but Zappos does not carry them. I would love to see them carry W in this version - I would be all over it.

I love these boots I have not purchased yet boot after searching for stylish boots I decided to purchase these. In my opinion they are more stylish then the Frye Boots at an affordable price. BTW can someone tell me the name of the music playing in the background of this video, I write music and love the sound? Thanks Sharon
