Bought this a year ago and I'm really happy with it. It's heavy to travel with but great mat besides that, very important with good grip for me which it has :) Also, very important consider the environment so happy Manduka have been given this eko option!

Although this may may seem a bit expensive, you go through several cheap mats before even making a dent in this one. I have had it now for several months and use it regularly. It shows no signs of wear and tear. I love it!

8 months since I bought my mat, I use it almost every day and it's great. It doesn't loose its shape one bit.

I bought this mat about 3 months ago and I'm so glad I did. It's exactly what I wanted. It is a decent size, slightly more generous than most baseline and beginner mats -- though if a slightly larger version of this mat were offered in equally beautiful colors, I'd snatch it up. It offers the cushioning I want while still supporting and grounding me through balance poses. My favorite feature is the texture. It keeps me from slipping most of the time (for a more strenuous practice, a towel is best but not always necessary) and feels soft -- almost like well-worn suede. The La Reina color is beautiful and soothing. It's just a winner all around.
The rubber smell comes up in many reviews, and yes, there is a distinctive smell which can come off on your hands during practice. I haven't made any real efforts to get rid of it, but it has already faded noticeably. My studio sometimes offers mat cleaners with essential oils to use after practice. I don't use them everyday -- the oil can make the mat slippery -- but moderate use seems to help with the rubber smell. Your mileage may vary, but I like the feel, weight, and sustainability of natural rubber enough that the smell doesn't rank as a problem for me.

I have arthritis, and the thickness of this mat is very comforting to my joints. Only complaint is the color. Much closer to teal than jade green.

I was ready to take my yoga practice to the next level and needed a mat that would last though daily practices for years to come. The grip is nice under my feet and hands. When the mat was brand new, it did take a month for the strong odor to dissipate.

I've been practicing for quite some time at least 5x/week. This mat is nice for all types of yoga practice, but I bought this mat because my main practice is hot power vinyasa (it is good for all kinds of practice- bikram, warm vinyasa flow, restorative, ashtanga, etc) I love that this mat is nice, sturdy, and durable. I've been a long time Gaiam yoga mat user and have been through about four during my journey. Unlike your typical PVC mat, there's a nice protective layer on it that doesn't make the mat seem like a sponge or absorb a lot of moisture and bacteria. I've been eyeing manduka mats for quite sometime and did my research beforehand and I'm so happy I decided to gift myself for my birthday. Even though it's heavy to lug around, I don't mind it. Before I purchased it, I saw that the biggest con of this mat is the rubber smell. They were not wrong. The smell was pretty invasive for the first week or so. So I let it air out before using it. The smell is still there, but it really isn't that bad. I think it's fading. If you plan on using this mat for some kind of hot sweaty yoga, then your towel would block the smell anyway so it wouldn't matter. I always wash my hands and feet after any type of practice and I've never noticed the smell lingering on my hands and feet after practice. I don't think the mat is too thick where you can't connect with the ground and I don't think it's too thin, so it provides good cushion for those bony parts. I love that it is eco-friendly material and truly believe it'll last me quite some time even with my abuse haha. The colors are beautiful. The light blue and dark blue contrast is calming. I bought the mat in long even though I'm short haha I like extra mat. I got what I paid for. Money well spent!

I've left it to "air out" the natural rubber smell for several weeks now but it still smells and transfers the rubber odor to my skin. Hoping it fades soon. Otherwise good.

really really well cushioned, and pretty sticky so far. I haven't used it for hot yoga yet, but I heat up quickly so good so far.

I bought my mat about a month ago and I have noticed a huge difference in the support of my practice. My mat doesn't slip around, and floating and jumping movements allow me to land softly and prevent back pain. The only small complaint I have is that upon receiving the mat it had a strong chemical smell that has been really hard to get rid of.

I own four yoga mats that I keep in various places but at yoga class I needed something that helped me hold a pose. During downward dog, all could think about was how far my hands and feet were moving. I wasn't able to relax in the poses. It is a heavier mat so I carry it in a yoga bag.

I washed a sticky mat... And it is! Lovely color. Know that if you are used to cheaper Gaiam type mats, this is significantly heavier. Love that it's eco friendly.

This is great as your "main" yoga mat. Very grippy without being sticky, doesn't move around on the floor or scrunch up. The rubbery smell goes away quickly. The thickness is perfect to support my knees without being squishy. My only issue is that it's VERY heavy and thick when rolled, and doesn't fit in my yoga bag anymore. It was really tough to tell if I wanted this, or the thinner one, since the photos don't do a good job describing the difference. In retrospect I'd probably have gone for the thinner one simply because I take my mat out to classes a lot rather than keeping it in one spot at home, which this is perfect for.

I'm very happy with this mat; I love that it's eco friendly and the colors are beautiful. When I first pulled it out, i thought the grip/traction was going to be amazing. However, I still slip a little bit in down dog when I am sweating. That's been a problem for me with every yoga mat I've ever had (I just hoped that a high quality one would be able to solve it for me!). Not just in hot yoga, but any class that's warm enough for my hands to be a little wet. It's not a huge deal most of the time, and I use a hand-sized yoga towel when I need it. Overall, love this mat!

I bought this mat with the objective of not swelling with hands sweat and also not having impact in nature. It's important to wipe down the mat with a damp cloth before each use to have the beast results of not swelling. I am happy with the mat and brand. It's a little bit heavy to carry it every day.

Matt itself is great, the color is definitely not what the photo shows however. I've spent a really long time trying to figure out which color manduka I wanted and kinda bummed that this one that I decided was not the deep forest green like the picture.

I really like the feel of this mat. Great grip! My only issue is if the underside gets a little wet it tends to slide on the floor. I do hot yoga and it happens quite a bit. Ive had no issues in my regular - non-heated classes.

My new yoga mat and bag shipped really quickly and arrive within a couple days! I love the pattern and the color. The smell isn't too great and i have let it air out for over a week. But i expect that to get better over time. The smell was expected because of the recycled materials used. Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase!
