I bought this mat after my thinner one started wearing out and it is a little heavier but lovely to practice on.

I take classes close to home, it is easy to transport, it is sticky !!! And it solves my joint issues ! It has given me a whole new level of accomplishment on the mat! My far best mat I've owned in 20 years!

That smell that you've heard about is definitely real, but the mat itself is great. Sticky (almost too sticky) even in a hot yoga class (although I still recommend a towel if you're sweaty). And I love the color. It's not too heavy for the great thickness.

Has the right amount of thickness without feeling too heavy. Not a travel mat.. so I keep it in the studio. A little smelly at first. Love the color... had always bought black mats in the past; nice to have a change.

I bought this mat several months ago. I like the thickness of the mat and I don't slip nearly as much as on other mats which was distracting during sessions. The rubber smell is a little intense at first, but it does fade and now I find the faded smell a bit relaxing.

After giving birth I was excited to return to my yoga classes. For this come-back I wanted to treat myself with a new mat. My teacher suggested Manduka, I chose this exact model because of how beautiful it is. I'm very pleased with it - comfortable, not slippery and so pretty it inspires me!

I got it as a gift for my wife for her birthday because she's never had a decent yoga mat before, and I knew I had to do something. She loves every thing about it. All the features she loves. Her favorite color too! It's a real gift that keeps on giving.

I got this mat for my birthday, and even though it did have a strong rubber smell, it fades away with use. The grip is great and it helps me hold poses without slipping all over the place.

I have had many yoga mats over the years and always buy what is cheapest and I ware them out in a short time. I have no doubt that this with stand up to my rugged use! I recommend airing it outside for a few days, then the small disappears.

Can a yoga mat be "comfy"? This one is. I have both the Pro and the eKO lite and this eKO is always the one I grab for class. It's light enough to not be a bother on my walk to the studio and thick enough to help support my joints when paired with a harsh wood floor.

I'm really satisfied with the mat I received about a month ago. I was also pleasantly surprised that the delivery came really early. My overall practice improved majorly!

This is my 3rd eKO mat in 12 years of practicing 6 days a week. Best mat!

This mat provides great cushioning and a perfect non-slip surface even when there is sweat. The weight of the mat is worth it!

I bought the eKO for home studio use and am comparing it with several others. My home studio is carpeted with low-pile covering. This mat is by far the best lighter mat - providing stability and of course great non-slip capability. At first the mat had a strong rubber scent, but that is disappearing with use and cleaning with the appropriate Manduka rubber mat cleaner. Am recommending this mat to my clients. While the eKO mat is also easily portable, the Pro is less so - a bit cumbersome. However, the Pro is amazing and would be my first choice for at home practice. Both are excellent products and I am happy to recommend them!

It has a gnarly pattern, and even when I'm sweatier than a pregnant nun in confession, it can hold my downward dog. Its all that and a bag of chips.

From someone who takes a lot of hot yoga classes and just sweats more than the average bear in regular yoga classes the grip on this mat has transformed my practice! I'm currently doing my 200 hr YTT and every time a classmate or one of my instructors steps or feels my mat they always say, "I think this needs to be my next mat".

Only trouble is NOT the mat itself, but finding a bag for it to fit in has been challenging bc of its large size.

my pro is just too slippery - i've tried everything, so i just decided to get a summer mat - this has worked out fantastically (although i look forward to getting back on my pro - #iloveitso)

I've been using this mat for about a month now. I'm very pleased with the overall product. I did notice a rubbery smell at first but that has disappeared. I like the strength and firmness of the mat. Its a little heavier than I expected, but definitely worth it. I feel this is a mat that will last a long time.
