Nice shoe, a little bit stiffer than usual at first but softens up over a couple of wears.

I picked these shoes up as an "inclement weather shoe" to keep my nicer leather soled shoes out of rain, slush puddles, etc. Walking around on wet concrete tears up leather soles. These shoes have a nice looking, thin, synthetic sole that looks like a single oak leather sole from head level. They aren't as nice as Florsheim's higher end shoes or those of some of their competitors, but for the price I am very pleased with them.
There are a couple things I don't like about these shoes. One is there are some loose threads sticking out between the upper and the lining in the heel area. The other is that they have nails in the heels. Given the state of modern glue technology I see no good reason to put nails in the heels that may start to scratch floors as the heel wears. Also... where's the burgundy version? Burgundy/wine/Kiwi "cordovan" polish color is awesome and seriously underrated these days.
Finally, I wouldn't recommend neutral paste polish on the tan version. This isn't a problem specific to this shoe. I shined them up with paste shorty after I got home and ended up with an unsightly mess of white wax caught in the pinking. I'm sure you can clean then up but it would be a bit of a chore. Kiwi "Color Shine" no-buff liquid polish in neutral seems to work quite well. If you already have wax buildup try saddle soap. It took care of my build-up problem. My shoes are shiny and looking good now. That won't stop me from trying tan polish when I get my hands on some.

I like being able to wear a more semi-pointed cap toe without being to narrow or tight on the foot. The brown color is just the right shade.

Haven't had too many opportunities to wear them yet, but they seem very well padded, comfortable and stable. Leather and stiching is high quality. My only gripe is that I wish the toe was a bit more rounded and less squared, but I knew about that before purchasing the shoe.

Fit about right on (9.5, D). Leather is very stiff and a bit uncomfortable. Hopefully will soften with wear. A very nice looking business shoe otherwise.

I really needed a light brown shoe to replace my old ones. I bought them online since my local shoe store didn't have anything I liked. I've worn 12D for 40+ years and my other Florsheim Imperials are 12D. So of course I ordered 12D. When I got them in the mail I was excited to try them on.
Whoa!!! These shoes are way way too long! I took them off and looked inside to make sure they were 12D and they were. When I put them on the toes would curl up and look like elf shoes.
I sent them back in with the provided label but still cost me $9.90 to mail them back.
About 4 days later I got an email that said I was refunded my purchase price.
My advice is to find them in a store to make sure you get the right size.

It's a little odd that the only choices are D and 3E, but being a 2E, the 3E was fine. the styling is great. I like that it's not a sneaker rubber sole, which so many shoes have now. The craftsmanship looks in line with price and the shoes look great. they pretty good on cushioning, but do run a little big

Really nice looking shoe. The toe is a bit darker than the rest of the shoe (puposefully). Not the most comfortable shoes ever, but I think they will wear in over time. The sole is rather hard, but solid. I've worn them several 12 hour work days with lots of walking and my feet have been fine.

Everything was great about the shoe except the size was about 1/2-1" off. That may be because the shoe is more pointed and my shoe is a wide version. With that exception in place, I will buy this again, just a half size smaller. Great appearance, comfort, and very nice appearance.

Quite happy with the shoe...but note, they do seem to run large. I generally wear an 8-1/2, and sometimes a 9, and so ordered both, which I returned for an 8, which is still a but on the large side, but ok. Also note, that albeit hard to see in the photo, there is a faux darker toning at the toe and heel, which on the original 2 pairs ordered was almost a deal-breaker, but on the 8's I've kept, was far more subtle.

Really nice shoes and fit pretty well out of the box. Of course they need to be broken in but after a few days of wearing them, they feel much better. I have found that Florsheim's in general ran one size larger, so order a size down. At this price point, they are hard to beat!

I bought a size smaller than what I normally wear, and they fit just right. I bought the Saddle Tan shoes, and these are nice looking shoes. They are comfortable. As others have said, after wearing a few times the leather on the top front is beginning to crack, but it is not peeling off, so it kind of adds to the look of the shoe. Overall, for the price, these shoes are a good purchase.

Was not true to size compared to my other Florshiem Shoes, purchase years back, which fit perfectly. Ordered the same size as always but was about a half size to large. Returned for credit. Very nice shoe though.

My husband loves these! I am not wild about the ombre coloring - the toe is darker than the body of the shoe. But otherwise, very smart-looking shoe!

Excellent dress shoe. True to size and overall a comfy for a dress shoe. The sole looks like it could wear quickly, that would be my only complaint.

I bought a pair of these shoes in saddle tan and I must say that I am very happy with my purchase. I am complemented every time I wear them, and, while I usually don't like embellished shoes such as wing tips, cap toes, etc., there's something about these that really does it. My only complaints are that the heel is just a little stiff, and the leather scuffs easily; however I must add two caveats to the latter statement. 1. the scuffing can look good depending on your taste, and 2. it might be only be an issue with saddle tan shoes.

This is a great shoe with a classic design. Compared to some other shoes in the same price range such as Cole Haan, I think the construction/quality is far superior. I love the shoes and look forward to wearing them for years to come.
That being said, I ordered two different sizes to try to get the right fit, and they were two COMPLETELY different shades of brown. The larger size was a dark brown with no burnishing in the toe region (different than the picture), the smaller size was a lighter brown with burnishing at the toe (looked exactly like the picture). Both shoes were otherwise the same, but the brown being that different of shade did bother me, as it seems you don't really know which you will get when ordering. Otherwise, I would wholeheartedly recommend this shoe.

Great looking shoes, however: I wear between a 14 and 15, depending on the style/brand, and I tried these in a 14—I literally couldn't even get my feet into the shoe. I'm surprised more reviewers here haven't flagged these are running small, so perhaps it was just me. If you're between sizes, my advice would be to order up and/or go with the 3E width.

Good shoe. Fits well.
One thing that is wrong is the color presented on the website for saddle tan. The website photo is MUCH darker than the actual shoe. It says tan but it looks like a mild brown on the internet. When you receive the actual shoe, it is much lighter brown. Just something to be cautious about if trying to match with a gray trousers. These are too light to match with medium to medium dark gray pants.
