Great bag for everything!

The speed of manufacture and delivery was amazing. The bag is great--I was worried that the colors would be more neon-y in person than on the website but they were perfect. I loved all the options. We have purchased many Timbuk2 bags and will continue to be loyal customers. I bought this bag for my partner and it's perfect. I would like a new one as well but I am not in love with any of the custom color choices.

Bought this bag for our son who wanted custom colours. We had a question so phoned customer services in the US . Excellent customer service and we were organized with the bag we wanted after one e mail. The bag was made and delivered to UK in a short time frame- it made it for Christmas! Our son loves the bag and uses it on his daily commute in Edinburgh. It's eye catching and very practical he says - and he is a real fusspot!

I needed a small carry-on bag that I could use for overnight trips to Houston to go see my doctor. This bag has the space to carry a change of clothes wallet, toiletries, meds, iphone, ipad air, boarding pass and snacks!! The stitching is very well done. No gaps frays etc.. The zippered front pocket is perfect for storing boarding passes, wallet etc.. Very happy with my bag!

Our 9 year old son started carrying a "free" messenger bag we were given as a promotional gift to school this year. We weren't sure the "messenger style" fad would last ... but after four months, he proved he really prefers the easy access of a bag worn over the shoulder ... instead of a backpack. Mom and dad decided he'd had the one with gym advertising on it long enough ... so we splurged to get him his very own Timbuk2 bag. It was fun to order specific colors that he likes, and to add features suitable for school commuting. When he opened the bag on Christmas morning he said, "I'll keep carrying the old bag to school ... this is too nice for me to take to school". We assured him it was quite ok for him to take the new Timbuk2 bag to school ... and hope he'll have many years toting his homework and lunch in style.

This is my second bag from Timbuk2. I bought my first in '95. That bag was still practically brand new when someone stole it from me two years ago. I looked around and you can't find a better built bag for the price. It is impossible to find a handmade bag from the U.S. at this price. All my friends dig it too and it always gets lots of compliments. BUY ONE!

The extra small bag has the perfect number of pockets placed in just the right spots along the inside front panel; one for cell phone, one for sunglasses, and a zipper pocket for small stuff that is hard to find when you need it. Perfect pocket for keys, including key ribbon, on the outside of the front panel. The large center compartment holds everything else and isn't so deep that I can't find things. I can take all my daily stuff PLUS, I Pad, gloves, and snacks for my hubby. The only thing I would change is a little more length to the strap so I can have more placement options.

I use this bag for carrying things to school and I couldn't be happier. I got the medium size and it fits all of my books and textbooks. Not only does the bag look great, but it's unique enough that I never lose it in the herd of other bags that are left around my school. The negative that I really have for it is the hand strap on the side can pull the Velcro loose if you pick it up that way. Other than that it's perfect.

Love, love, love my new bag. I got a custom-made bag this time. How cool is it that we can pick the colors, materials and design that our very own bags become? I would love to have two more external pockets so I don't have to un-Velcro the bag to get into it and add stuff in, though overall, know that I am sold on Timbuk 2 products. My bag puts a smile on my face every day I pick it up, throw it over my shoulder and head off to the office.

Had a great time shopping and designing a bag for a very finicky daughter whose last bag has been on death's doorway for more than a year. She will love this, especially that it was designed for her. Company was great to deal with. Product arrived on time and in great shape. Can't wait for Christmas!

I will be using this bag to carry my stuff to SF Giants baseball games.

This bag replaced a similar bag that I use as my every day bag. It is holding up well so far, and it looks like it will continue to do so for me. The strap mechanism holds it's length well, without slowly getting longer and longer as your day goes on. It is thick enough to not dig into my shoulder. I did not buy the shoulder pad. I am a cane user, so I use a messenger bag to carry things I would have otherwise put in my cane hand. This means that often I leave the house with it mostly empty and return with it full of shopping, or left overs, or my scarf and gloves. The bag expands well to carry things without looking ridiculous while it's mostly empty. The front pouch is perfect for my transit card, which I need to be able to access quickly. But it wouldn't hold terribly much more than a wallet or a phone, but not both really. The only thing I dislike about the bag is the velcro. It is a very strong velcro and very large. It makes getting into the body of the bag while I'm wearing it a little unweildy. It's doable, but I may end up seeing if I can modify the bag to remove the velcro as the front flap has buckle closures, too.

I ordered a small in waxed canvas and boutique noir fabrics hoping for a finished product that was purse - like enough for me to keep everything in it all the time, and add or subtract the laptop as needed. Works brilliantly. Fits my MacBook Pro in its sleeve, plus everything else--including a big phone/tablet and an eReader. The new styling with buckles under the flap keep it looking clean and classy, and I get compliments all over the place. Wearing cross-over style prevents back issues that a heavy bag can cause. Very happy with my new bag.

Purchased it for travel. Fantastic carry on. Held everything I needed with room left over. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend.

Great bag. This is my 5th bag and they keep getting better. I've yet to wear one out. I decide to change color and then give the old ones away, except for my first one. Still have it after 20 years. These are the best bags period!

It's always on my shoulder. For work, free time, with or without my 15' Mac Pro and/or iPad. Very comfortable walking and motorbike/biking. Fast and perfect sale service. In 4 days received in Italy. Mine is all black cordura with a beautiful white/gray interior "zig-zag" stripes. Light enough but very strong and durable. I don't like to change frequently my stuff !

I live in an area with good public transit- but no street lighting- and wanted something reflective and weather-resistant for commuting. With the strap pad this bag is comfortable to carry over the shoulder, even packed full, while leaving my hands free to hold a farecard while waiting for the bus or a flashlight while I'm walking home. The bottom of the bag flattens out, giving you plenty of room for a bag lunch, raingear, etc. While it doesn't have the profusion of pockets of the laptop bags there are enough for pens, notepads, and the usual work stuff. It would be nice to have a "quick access" outside pocket for sunglasses or a flashlight, but with a little practice the vertical zipped pocket outside the main compartment can be reached without opening the bag.

A perfect bag. Nuff said.

I'm using this as a purse. The one suggestion I would make, and I realize this is a messenger bag, is to make it an option whether or not you want the reflective tags on the strips on the bottom of the bag. Otherwise a great bag! I had my last Timbuk2 purse for 10 years. It wore like iron. Truth is although the lining was finally starting to fray a bit and the lighter parts of the purse were a bit stained, it was still in great usable shape.

Great bag - only wish that the interior computer pocket had something to secure it when it is being used for other things (e.g. books)

Great bag. Just what I needed for my job. Meets all my needs in a shoulder bag.

This bag is fantastic in every way. I chose to get waterproof material since we are in the PacNW. Sometimes waterproof material can be fragile and prone to tears but not so here. This waterproof material is fierce. My one and only request for change is please consider adding more waterproof options.

So Timbuk 2 may have done themselves a disservice. Normally, I buy bags on a regular basis because I'm still always looking for a better bag than the one I have; however, this bag is so perfect that I will only be buying another one if I destroy this one! It truly is the perfect bag. Customized to my own specifications I can carry my water bottle inside, store my computer and other items safely, and with all the organizational pouches it meets all my organizing needs. I have not had any interest in even looking at other bags since I received it and look forward to enjoying it for the next several years. So Timbuk 2, you did a great job on the bag but sadly, I won't be in any rush to buy another one until this one goes. If you need an order from me, send someone to rough up my bag!
